With a discussion of BackLASH! There seems to have been a bit of a response to the reception of WrestleMania with this latest PLE. Each of the matches was actually given a lot of time which means that more stars got time to shine– that includes our beloved Danhausen. He'll earn tons of praise before more love is piled onto Oba Femi, Jacob Fatu, The Street Profits and so many more. But all of this good wrestling cannot overshadow the recent cull of the company's talent, including several notable names like Kairi Sane and Zelina Vega. The Main Event After more than ten years as one of the WWE's most bankable acts, Xavier Woods and Kofi Kingston have left the company. Big E's status as a part of the PLE preshow seems to still be secure as he enjoys retirement. But the New Day as we know it is no more. The Dirty Thirty returns, and it's jam-packed full of stories this week. We've got a brand new 30 minutes of the very best tales from our shows. Let's go for a ride! This week, we start off with one of Door Bumper Clear's most long-awaited guests, Randy LaJoie, and in this segment, he talks about following the Intimidator at Talladega, how he still hates Mark Martin's Winn Dixie car, and his MASSIVE wreck at Daytona. Then, we wanted to make sure we heard Denny right, but on Actions Detrimental, he says we could see up to 4 SECONDS of fall-off at Darlington! For the very first time, but not the last, Dirty Thirty features Sons & Daughters, Shannon Spake's new show where she talks to remarkable people with relatable pasts. This week was Coach K., just in time for college basketball's most important time of the year. Following that up is Brad Keselowski, who filled in for Dale Jr. while he was on vacation this week. The topic he wanted to talk about? Looking back, he sees how smart a move Justin Marks made in getting Shane van Gisbergen into the Cup Series. This leads Brad to tell a Jack Roush story of his own, which we know you'll love. We end this show with one of the best tales we've ever heard, from an all-time classic episode, Andy Petree's famous trick spoiler. If you haven't heard this one before, you are in for a real treat. This week is a big one! We hope you enjoy all these moments from our shows. We'll see you next week on The Dirty Thirty! Hosted by Simplecast, an AdsWizz company. Send a textWe're excited to welcome back Mike Pachan for another impactful conversation on Discussion Combustion. Building on themes from his previous appearances, Mike continues exploring the web that was weaved. We also talk awareness, accountability, and elevating consciousness in challenging times. This week, we unpack recent developments surrounding the “Big E” files, information that can be difficult to process. Instead of staying stuck in outrage or fear, we focus on perspective and personal responsibility. We discuss how modern society, from the top down, is often structured in ways that lower our frequency through distraction, division, consumption and negativity. The solution is simple but powerful. Control what you can control. We talk about cultivating positive internal energy, practicing selflessness, protecting your mental and spiritual well being, and becoming a true warrior of the light. By tapping into higher collective energy and choosing integrity over reaction, we can repel darkness and move with purpose. This episode is about awareness, but even more importantly, empowerment.
By popular demand, the 15-Minute History team is re-airing one of our most popular episodes. This originally aired on April 8th, 2019. New episode next Monday, March 2nd. ____The name “Enterprise” is not exclusive to fictional starships or the space shuttle; in fact, nineteen ships of the British Royal Navy and nine of the United States Navy have born the name (spelled either with an S or a Z). Undoubtedly, the most famous USS Enterprise is the World War Two-era aircraft carrier, which fought in more battles in the Pacific War than any other vessel, earned twenty battle stars, and is today the most decorated ship in American naval history. “The Big E,” (first of her many nicknames) was commissioned in May 1938 and attached to the Atlantic fleet for her first year of service. As tensions rose with Japan and the Navy Department realized the importance of aircraft carriers in the Pacific, the Enterprise was transferred to the Pacific Fleet and based first at San Diego and then at Pearl Harbor.Join us as we teach you about the most decorated ship in the history of the US Navy, the USS Enterprise. We talk about her history, engagements, and why she was called, The Grey Ghost. When it comes to the United States Navy, names carry with them the legends of those ships which came before, and history will surely not forget the name Enterprise.
