Wir befinden uns wieder auf dem Weg zum größten Wrestling-Festival Europas, dem wXw „16 Carat Gold“-Tournament. Vom Freitag, 7. März, bis Sonntag, 9. März 2025, präsentiert die wXw ihr alljährliches Wrestling-Festival, natürlich mit dem namensgebenden Turnier, aber auch vielen weiteren Veranstaltungen. Als offizieller Sponsor des Events haben wir von Wrestling-Infos.de wieder die Möglichkeit erhalten, einige der Teilnehmer*innen zu befragen. Das „16 Carat Gold 2025“-Turnier hat mit 1 Called Manders einen Sieger gefunden, welcher am finalen Sonntagabend den begehrten Pokal in die Höhe strecken durfte. Der Sieger erhält traditionell ein Match um die wXw Unified World Wrestling Championship. In diesem Jahr ist alles aber ein wenig anders, der der bisherige Champion Peter Tihanyi musste den Titel aufgrund einer Verletzung niederlegen, sodass die Championship derzeit vakant ist. Hierunter musste auch der aktuelle Hauptherausforderer auf das Gold, Elijah Blum, leiden, denn ihm ging so sein großes Titelmatch am Carat-Wochenende durch die Lappen. Doch eine Lösung ist in Sicht: am 5. April treten Manders und Blum in Frankfurt gegeneinander an und werden in diesem Match einen neuen Champion bestimmen. Zu diesem Anlass spricht Wrestling-Infos mit Elijah Blum über seine Reaktion auf die Ereignisse des Carat-Wochenendes, die Verletzung Tihanyis, seine Charakterentwicklung seit dem letzten Jahr und vieles mehr. Und was macht der Star aus Großbritannien, Michael Oku? Stephan und David tippen das gesamte Turnier durch, mit teils kleineren, teils größeren Unterschieden.
