As we continue to discuss these characters and their feelings of deep regret, we talk about the importance of looking back at mistakes and the dilemma of "cancel culture." Welcome to DC on RMD. This week Mike and David discuss DC Universe’s Doom Patrol 1.13 ‘Flex Patrol’.

Last episode our intrepid heroes busted Cyborg...and Flex Mentallo... out of the Ant Farm. Rita talks Cyborg into re-installing his GRID operating system after the nanites start turning him more into a robot than human. Cyborg decides to stay with his dad in the hospital after nearly beating him to death when Mr Nobody got into his head. Rita stays with Cyborg to help him through this tough time. Meanwhile, back at the mansion... Jane and Robot Man try to get Flex's memory to kick in. They do everything they can think of to trigger his memory. The only thing that works is bringing his wife back to him. Short lived reunion as she has had her body wired so if she comes back in contact with Flex, she dies. We also find out that Larry and the Negative Spirit are in a symbiotic relationship. They need each other to survive. The best part is when Mr Nobody gives his soliloquy at the end. Everything he says proves we have been right all season long. He says the past episodes have all been character driven drivel. He rips Cyborgs face off the Doom Patrol ad. He even promises we will be getting more superheroes doing superhero stuff! Can't wait! Episode 12 is another in a long line of Cyborg bashing we do. Even though this episode had his name on it, he was not the best character in it. Cyborg managed to get himself captured by the Bureau of Normalcy and taken to the Ant Farm. That isn't gonna look good on his resume to join the Justice League. Cyborg's dad devises a plan to get him out of the Ant Farm, but it involves using the Doom Patrol as bait. The Doom Patrol agrees to go through with the plan. The Bureau plans to send Robot Man to the scrap heap, remove the Negative Spirit from Larry, and one of the agents is seeking his revenge against Jane. Needless to say, none of it works and Doom Patrol is able to save the day. While inside the Ant Farm, they come in contact with Flex Mentallo. Flex is the guy that is missing from the ad in the comic book that Danny the Street gave to Doom Patrol. This sets up the next episode titled "Flex Patrol".
