I got to spend my lunch break with Samantha Lynch, Jewelry Designer, Metalsmith and Business Owner behind Shiftd Jewelry - Handmade jewelry using high quality metals + genuine gemstones- offering a curated selection of handcrafted pieces for those seeking distinctive accessories.I spoke to Sam about how she started her brand originally as Gypset and rebranded again after a new era of her life began and shifted. Sam and I discussed everything from her evolution of being a metalsmith and the inspiration of her jewelry pieces. We talked about her openness and transparency she shares about her brand and business. As well as, taking the time to go backwards and its ok to do that. A young woman starting to make low-quality handmade jewelry solely just for fun and friends to turning it into a large handmade jewelry company, all while going through the challenges of a divorce, giving birth, and having her bank account frozen for not paying taxes. This journey is full of a wide range of craziness to say the least.

Jeremy has a conversation with Laurel Van Matre, founder of Yoga Garden in Minneapolis, and co founder of Gypset Retreats. Laurel shares her experience as a yoga practitioner and teacher for the last 25 years, how her classes have changed over that time and why she started a teachers training program. She also shares insights into the wellness aspects of yoga that often can be overlooked, and provides real insight how we can become more mindful of seasonal flow as energy changes with the seasons and how we can use this time in a constructive way that isn't in conflict with the energetic nature of the darkest part of the year in the Northern Hemisphere.
