On this episode of Snacky Tunes we're joined by Josh Evans, former member of the Nordic Food Lab which is the group behind the compelling and eye-opening new book, On Eating Insects (Phaidon). Known for the their heavy, melodic slop-rock sound, Brooklyn trio Haybaby stop in for a chat about their forthcoming yet-to-be-named album, and also give us a live in-studio performance.
To Lisa Levy Message body Drummer Jeremy Duvall is on the couch and Dr. Lisa confronts him directly with questions about whether being a dude in a band means you get laid a lot. They also dive into some meaningful shit and why a certain obscure Byrds song affects him so much. Haybaby consists of vocalist, Leslie Hong and bassist, Sam Yield. http://haybabyband.com/ #Haybaby #music #psychotherapy #art #comedy
Is Yonatan Gat the best guitarist you've never heard of? Why won't DW shut up about A Deer A Horse, The Rizzos, and Brother Valiant? Hey, who solo'ed on that Animus Theory track? How ridiculous was that Haybaby show? DW and Chris Shamkin...neighbors? Oh, and how hard do the Crier Brothers rock... All that and a few words on the artists we've lost and why we care can be found on this episode of Rock Weekly.
What's a Jangula? Who's going to the Chris Shamkin gig in LIC? What brings Frank LoCrasto to NYC? Why is DW so into Hey Anna, and why won't he shut up about how good that Haybaby show at Rough Trade NYC was??
A father-son band called Vomit Fist? How are Parrot Dream bringing their Santiago, Chile sound to NYC? Where isn't Haybaby playing a show these days? And what's this Oh My Rockness show I keep hearing about? Tune in to find out.
Who are New Myths, Haybaby, The Rizzos, A Deer A Horse, The Breathing Effect, Brother Valiant and Charlie Bliss? Better listen up to find out.
