"The Final Scream," the third and final spec script written LA-Times best-selling writer, Joe Vallese, will be released on the SWRCS podcast on December 19, 2025, on the heels of the Scream (1996) anniversary and the holiday season.  This script follows "Scream 7" (the end of the Carpenter sister era, episode 112) and "Screams (a Gale-centric script, episode 155). "The Final Scream" completes this SWRCS trilogy by focusing on Sidney's family (two younger daughters, unlike Tatum in the upcoming Scream 7) and her marriage to Mark Kinciad (not Evans, like in the upcoming Scream 7).  The plot is: Sidney Prescott's sense of peace and security is unmoored by the revelation of a dark secret  - and a slew of new Ghostface murders hitting too close to home. We hope this script provides some closure to the Sidney/Mark Kincaid fans since Patrick Dempsey did not return for the feature film releasing in February. "The Final Scream" is emotional and contemplative, yet it's also epic and wide in scope. Gale Weathers also assumes an important role and the arc of the film ties into the fabric of the original trilogy. Like the past two scripts, "The Final Scream" will be read aloud by Ryan like an audio book and released as a podcast episode. The agents entered the burrows to find a city beneath a city with an entire society functioning with good people and a sense of community, even though they were clearly suffering. Morgan discovered a vent system and entered it to access the void shield generators that were being used to block off areas that had been purged and prevent escape in the upcoming purge. At the shield generator, Damien recalled a phrase that had been used by the Flayed Man regarding Talos Ivo, and suggested it might be the password to the generator. The fact that it worked suggested that Talos Ivo and the events on Arcturus IV were connected to the situation in the Hawkstar system. They lowered the shield power just enough to pass through with some difficulty without setting off alerts that the shield had been altered, and made their way back to the main thoroughfare. They ordered everyone to evacuate, but as everyone started running, a massive booming wave rushed towards them, taking out the lights in the tunnels. In this special episode of the What Are We Doing Podcast, I break down one of the most unsettling stories to come out of Lancaster County in years. The name Field of Screams is known across Pennsylvania as a Halloween staple, but a recent Spotlight PA investigation exposed a much darker story behind the haunted hayrides and fake blood. What was once considered a seasonal thrill ride is now at the center of serious allegations involving years of misconduct, ignored complaints, and failures in leadership that left teenage volunteers unprotected.According to multiple reports and interviews, more than a dozen current and former volunteers described a pattern of harassment, inappropriate contact, and manipulation by adult staff and supervisors dating as far back as 2006. One of the key voices in the investigation, Danica Gabrielson, shared her experience working under then-manager Mike King, who she says crossed boundaries while she was still a minor. She describes how attention and trust turned into control and abuse of power. Other volunteers claim they went to the owners, Jim and Gene Schopf, only to see the same people remain in charge, season after season.The story doesn't stop there. A follow-up investigation revealed that Christopher Roarball, a man previously convicted of indecent exposure, was allowed to volunteer alongside minors between 2022 and 2024. The company claimed their background checks didn't flag his conviction because they only searched the past seven years, even though Pennsylvania law allows checks to go further. Legal experts have already said that's not a valid excuse, and former volunteers say this proves how little oversight exists behind the scenes at the attraction. While Field of Screams continues to deny wrongdoing, insisting no criminal allegations have been filed, the evidence and firsthand accounts tell a very different story.In this episode, I go through the full timeline, the official responses, and the ongoing concerns about how these attractions are managed. The goal isn't to sensationalize a tragedy or stir outrage, but to ask why so many people knew and did nothing.
