He's covered many types from reporting from crime to celebrity deaths. He got his first internship at 12 years old! Jeff Rossen credits his work ethic to how he gained opportunity and grew his career. He says he wasn't the smartest in class, but his work ethic and experience gave him the leg up he needed. As a side hustle to his main hustle of reporting, he began reporting information that was proactive to tragic events he say occurring frequently. AN example he gave is reporting how watering your Christmas tree will make it less likely to catch on fire. I've only recent gotten into social media and content creation, so Jeff Rossen and I discussed the future of media and production. Jeff discusses how main media needs to find their main audience by following the viewers. This is shown how streaming is more popular as is social media. They style of new reporting is also evolving. Instead of being more professional, people are looking for reporters and influencers that are more authentic and relatable. Jeff and I also discuss the different structure between social media content and TV production. Things such as text on the screen, jump cuts, etc. help hold the viewers attention on social media, but aren't included in production. Jeff Rossen is coming to my Future Flipper Mastermind event! I asked him what he is hoping to learn at the event, and Jeff said that he finds flipping houses facilitating. While he loves what he does now, he loves to learn something new. He wants to learn this new skill and go try it out! Content creation, future of social media, how to develop content, content creation for beginners, viral TikToks, how to flip houses, learn to flip houses, professional baseball player, news anchor Jeff Rossen

It's a good thing Jeff Rossen and I don't share an office. I'd probably talk his ear off all day long. Jeff is the newly named chief national consumer correspondent for Hearst Television. He joined Hearst after a decade at NBC News and "The Today Show," where his franchise, "Rossen Reports," exposed scams, tested products and cost big companies big money when it turned out they weren't delivering on their promises. He's as impossible to ignore in real life as he is on TV. It's an energy that fuels his creative side that even he admits can be exhausting to be around! (I might relate to that.)On this Dying to Ask:How Jeff knew it was the right time to make the leap from NBC to Hearst Television and his advice to anyone thinking about pivoting from an established careerThe role a chimpanzee played in his rise to getting noticed at a network and, ultimately, created his niche as a consumer reporter and his award-winning franchise, "Rossen Reports"What Jeff does in his free time that he says creates the only space in his life where he's not thinking about workAnd proof Hearst's new chief national consumer correspondent might have a solid second career as a relationship expert!

All of us, at one point or another, have gotten ripped off. It's practically a right of passage for those of us that have hired movers, gotten work done on our homes, or any number of other things. In some cases, like at the doctor, ripoffs give way to straight-up fraud, a dangerous situation regardless of who you are. In this week's episode, Jeff Rossen goes over the most common ways to avoid getting ripped off, and shares some troubling information about medical professionals that may not be as trustworthy as they seem.
