But the three things we’re going to talk about in this instance are quite old, but they have close associations with the recent past. From Adoption Trauma to Root Healing - Saane's Extraordinary JourneyThis episode is absolutely raw and it's one you need to listen to if you're exploring what's really underneath your pain.I sit down with Saane, a physiotherapist turned Root Coaching founder, who was adopted from Sri Lanka as a baby and spent decades not knowing her story. Her journey took her from numbing with drugs and unsafe relationships, to meeting her biological mother, to using plant medicine (ayahuasca) to access the deepest layers of her trauma, to now helping others heal their inner child and access their roots. This is not a light conversation. It's deep, it's real, and it's about understanding that everything that happened before you were even born is living in your nervous system. This episode is for you if:• You've experienced adoption trauma or identity confusion• You're using substances or behaviours to numb overwhelming feelings• You want to understand what plant medicine actually does for healing• You believe trauma needs to be FELT to be healed (not bypassed)• You're interested in inner child work that goes beyond talking therapy• You're ready to go to the root instead of managing symptoms• You want to know what authentic healing actually looks likeIn this episode, we cover:✨ What it means to be adopted and the nervous system imprint that creates✨ How Saane numbed decades of pain with drugs and escaping✨ The moment she decided to search for her biological mother in Sri Lanka✨ What ayahuasca is and why she felt called to use it for healing✨ The difference between plant medicine in ceremony vs. random use✨ How the ego protects us from truth and why plant medicine bypasses that✨ The apology exercise that broke her open (writing apologies from people in her life)✨ Why having someone physically present while you feel is the healing✨ Trauma is created in relationship, so it can only be healed in relationship✨ The difference between feeling it to heal it vs. rapid resolution (bypassing pain)✨ Inner child work and why it needs to be a whole-body experience✨ Authentic movement (not dance) as a way to release emotion through the body✨ What happens when you combine inner child work + plant medicine✨ How she now helps clients through Root Coaching✨ The power of five minutes of silence when your nervous system is restless✨ You can't force healing. You create space and it unfolds✨ The lady who didn't cry for 10 years and what shifted it✨ Why you need a safe person to heal. You can't do this alonePowerful quotes from the episode:

The program is designed to provide real-world legal experience, pairing students with attorneys and involving them in substantive casework. There is a push to rebrand it as an externship to help students receive academic credit.* Subscription and Fixed Fee Models in Criminal Defense:Rossen's firm utilizes fixed fees and is exploring subscription models for ongoing client services, especially for probation-related matters. The discussion highlights the benefits of offering tiered subscription packages (e.g., access to legal resources, help with forms, full representation) to better serve clients and create predictable revenue.* Client Retention and Value Packaging:Rossen's firm has historically provided certain post-case services (like probation motions) for free to nurture long-term client relationships and encourage positive reviews. However, this has become burdensome for staff, leading to a reevaluation of what should be included for free versus what should be packaged and charged for in a subscription or a la carte model.* Data-Driven Pricing and Service Decisions:There is an emphasis on analyzing firm data (e.g., rates of probation violations, service usage) to inform pricing and package design for subscription offerings. This approach ensures that the firm's offerings are both sustainable and aligned with client needs.* Leveraging Technology and AI in Legal Practice:Adam Rossen is co-owner of Meet Gabby, a voice AI company that is being used to automate intake, calls, and other administrative tasks in his firm. The adoption of AI tools (like Paxton and Gabby) is seen as a way to scale operations, improve efficiency, and maintain high service quality without significantly increasing staff.__________________________Learn more about Rossen Law Firm and Meet Gabby.Sign up for Paxton, my all-in-one AI legal assistant, helping me with legal research, analysis, drafting, and enhancing existing legal work product. Here's a link to purchase lifetime access to the recordings of My Shingle's AI Teach-In if you couldn't make it live.I've partnered with Pii to make it easy for you to purchase the hardware I use in my law firm: (1) Studio Setup; (2) Midrange Setup; (3) Highrange Setup.Get Connected with SixFifty, a business and employment legal document automation tool.Sign up for Gavel, an automation platform for law firms.Visit Law Subscribed to subscribe to the weekly newsletter to listen from your web browser.Prefer monthly updates? What happens when schools don't have enough psychologists to meet student needs? And how can associations help their members thrive in such an environment? In this episode of Associations Thrive, host Joanna Pineda interviews Eric Rossen, Executive Director of the National Association of School Psychologists (NASP). Eric discusses:How NASP represents over 24,000 school psychologists across the U.S., many of whom serve multiple schools due to a national shortage. The difference between school psychologists and school counselors, and why having both creates “force multipliers” for student success.NASP's advocacy work around federal funding, including the fight to restore grant money that was being used to address workforce shortages. How NASP is addressing the mental health of its members, who often work in isolated environments, under high stress.Eric's leadership journey from school psychologist to association executive, and how earning his CAE signaled a full embrace of his role as an association professional. His leadership style shift, from “doing” to empowering, and how he intentionally built trust when stepping into the Executive Director role. Why National School Psychology Week is more than recognition of school psychologists: it's a tool for public awareness and appreciation of a critical profession.NASP's upcoming 2026 convention in Chicago, expected to be its largest ever, with Dr. Miguel Cardona as the keynote speaker. How NASP is making its convention more expansive and impactful by welcoming affiliated organizations to host events under its umbrella, creating a “bigger tent” for school psychology.References:NASP WebsiteNASP Annual Convention

All The King's Men is a political movie, so Ryan decided to get very political in this one-man show. In fact, warning: don't listen to the 650th edition of Have You Ever Seen if you're a Trump supporter...because he gets lambasted. As for the movie in question, it's a good one. A man who saw into the future, Robert Rossen, writes and directs a film that's effective at showing a cruel and corrupt governor does business...and how that's connected to the wanton acts of the cruel and corrupt current president. Broderick Crawford plays Huey Long-esque Willie Stark, who's a performer first and foremost, then proves to be a gigantic phony. Rossen's film is complicated though because the man who takes dirty money uses it to build things the state needs. So strap in tight for an episode all about All The King's Men, but also often about the certain loathsome individual who must have seen this and taken notes. Well, Actually: the Danny DeVito line in Heist is "everybody needs money", not "everybody loves money". Also, it's true that seatbelts weren't made mandatory in cars for another few decades after when this film is set. Watch the YouTube version of this episode HEREAre you a law firm owner who is looking to create an internship program for your firm? In this episode of the Maximum Lawyer Podcast, Tyson chats with Adam Rossen, who shares insights on the successful internship program at Rossen Law Firm. Adam discusses the evolution of the program and highlights the value of informal yet immersive experiences for interns.Internships within the legal space are important experiences that help prepare law students for life as a lawyer. Adam talks about the significance of good internship programs and why law firms who don't have them need to create a viable program. Internship programs will look different across firms, but it is crucial to sit down and think about what aspects of being a lawyer should be taught to interns. Does your program involve tasks like research, client intake or trial support? Think about what soft skills need to be taught like effective client communication and projecting confidence when presenting a case at trial. As a law firm owner, it is important to provide interns with the skills they need to be successful and think about how your internship program can improve as the years go on.Internships also provide students with the chance to differentiate perception versus reality as it relates to working in the legal space. Many who watch legal dramas, like Law and Order might be fooled into thinking law and law enforcement are the same as what is shown on TV. Adam emphasizes that the legal space is not glamorous at all times. There is a lot of hard work that can take months to complete as a case makes its way through the criminal process. There is also a lot of administrative work involved and interactions with different types of people that can make the work both exciting and stressful.Listen in to learn more about how to create a successful internship program! 02:34 Starting the Internship Program09:51 Program Structure and Requirements 15:02 Introduction to Internship Curriculum 22:29 Curriculum Components 34:25 Curriculum Structure for Interns42:42 Confidentiality and NDA for InternsTune in to today's episode and checkout the full show notes here. Connect with Adam:Website  Instagram  Facebook X Linkedin Youtube  TikTok

It utilizes a Liquidity Pool design, the Liquidity Tree to create and maintain market liquidity. The Azuro Protocol is a decentralized protocol that enables peer-to-pool prediction markets without intermediaries. It's built on EVM-compatible blockchains and consists of several smart contracts that handle different aspects of the prediction process, such as liquidity pools, odds, live betting, and payouts. The protocol uses a hybrid oracle/ automated market maker solution to determine the odds of different outcomes and to ensure that the process is fair and transparent. Azuro supports thousands of sports markets and other games, plus a rich feature set, which can be utilized by anyone permissionlessly for the creation of apps, embedded integrations or derivative products. The human desire to take risk for a gain is more widespread than ever. A generation of degens within and outside of crypto is here. A bet was one of the first forms of contract used by ancient people. Azuro enters the space with the mission to break down the barriers, creating a protocol dependent on community participation and ownership. A piece of critical on-chain infrastructure which acts as a black hole for liquidity for decentralized predictions and gaming. Azuro's approach to concentrating liquidity can deliver much deeper liquidity vs any centralized options. Azuro's tooling and oracle solutions can be utilized by any blockchain, starting with EVM-compatible ones. ARI ROSSEN is an actor, award-winning filmmaker and musician with roots in Detroit and the SF South Bay. After several years in New York, I just moved back to my home state of California and am excited to expand my creative community here. https://www.instagram.com/instarossen/ Ari co-produced and played Beelzebub in the film noir LOST + FOUND, written by Laura Sweeney and directed by Jeremiah Kipp. LOST + FOUND secured distribution with PBS and IFTNetwork and has screened at Garden State Film Festival, NYWIFT and other great festivals. His queer dark comedy series BEHIND THE CEREAL is all about the rise, fall and occasional redemption of America's breakfast cereal mascots (Colonel Munch, Fortune The Fairy, Count Cacao and more). BEHIND THE CEREAL was selected for FilmShop's 2021 Breakthrough Pitchfest, which included panelists from WarnerMedia and indie crowdfunding platform Seed & Spark. Ari is also playing himself in the upcoming narrative documentary feature ALL THE LONELY PEOPLE from Emmy Award-winning production company The Clowder Group. This timely film explores the epidemic of loneliness faced by a handful of global citizens, and how they are seeking solutions toward authentic social connection. During what he half-jokingly calls “The Covid Era,” Ari has channeling his own social isolation with music videos and ridiculous covers, including “Vaccine” (Dir. Laura Sweeney, a queer homage to Dolly Parton's iconic “Jolene”) and “Significant Otter,” an original song about a sea otter seeking love in an ocean of possibilities. Ari holds a BS in Theatre and Musical Theatre Concentration from Northwestern University. When not creating, Ari enjoys the great outdoors and attempts to provide an adequate kingdom for his feline overlord, Batman. He's a proud member of FilmShop, SAG-AFTRA and AEA. You can find him on the socials, though he admittedly has a complicated relationship with all of it —don't we all? --- This episode is sponsored by · Anchor: The easiest way to make a podcast. https://anchor.fm/app --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/bravemaker/message Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/bravemaker/support

First of all please send music, comments and jokes to lidellmakeswaves@gmail.com and I'll check em :) Feel free to join the pod patreon for the best sounds and max patches in the known universe and all that! link HERE Let's get on with the show! Ive been lucky enough to work with Daniel on my album Compass (2010) where he overdubbed a stack of these double speed, beautiful burnt crystaline, shimmering pentatonic runs that wind their way through the song “completely exposed” I was working with Chris Taylor from the Band Grizzly bear which is how many of you will have doubtless discovered the magic of Mr Rossen's voice and song craft and what a craft it is! His style is so singular and he's got that passion in his writing and playing that sets him apart with an intricate, elegant touch on guitar that has both urgency and solidity. There's real fire in him and at the same time a soft vulnerability and it all races around in these huge landscapes he paints in sound. Amazingly this is his first LP and what a beauty it is. A Timeless beauty at that. It's called YOU BELONG THERE and was released a few days ago on APRIL 8 2022 on warp records. He's currently out there, SOLO on the road on a short US and Euro Tour. I saw him in Nashville and was mesmerized. What a talent he is. A humble soul also, with immense talent and a welcome dash of dry humour. HERE is a link to his webpage so you can see he's coming to your town :) so with all that said, please welcome to the show, the rather wonderful. I get super deep into the world of Timeless 3, their absolute BEAST of a delay plugin. It can pitch shift, distort, lofi, reverberate and custom tap its way into your world. It's available for desktop AND ios and I've made a bunch rather sweet presets for it on my adventures with it that work on both platforms. SO killer. In the nitty I explore the idea of making evolving delay sequences using the excellent tap designer part of the plugin. Patreons get the presets of course ! some juicy ones based on my marshall time modulator! _____________ BONUS POD RECOMMENDATION! I was super excited to listen to the pod that mylarmelodies put out with James Blake HERE is the link. Some super insightful nuggets in there.
