How would you rate your Kingdom comprehension? Is Christianity simply a box we check, a free pass to heaven, or is there more to the story? Join Pastors Carter and Jamie Wamsley as they delve deep into what Jesus' Gospel shows us about the Kingdom of God and what it could mean to the Church and our lives, today. Love the Bible Leadership Podcast? Consider becoming a patron for as little as $3 per month!SHOW NOTESWelcome to BLP. In today’s episode, Pastor Carter and Pastor Jamie Wamsley discuss the theology of the Kingdom and how leaders can access its full resources, beyond just the basics. Pastor Jamie currently serves as Associate Senior Pastor at The Chapel, a multi-site church in Chicagoland, where he has been on staff for 23 years.Ministry of Jesus // When ministry gets busy and you’re drawing more and more people, it can feel like you’re on a gerbil wheel. Externally one can see God is at work, but internally you can feel exhausted and spent. John Wimber, in his book The Way In is the Way On, writes ‘All ministry is the ministry of Jesus’. Does this ring true for your ministry, does it reflect the ministry of Jesus, what Jesus did? After being confronted with this question, Pastor Jamie reached a crossroads, he asked God, “Have I gotten it all wrong?” God led him in a process of re-examining everything he believed, Biblically about his faith, which led to a complete overhaul of his Christianity. This bible study devotional covers Numbers chapters 28-30. Here we read about the sacrifices and festivals Israel is to keep once they enter the promised land. This is done to orient themselves around God using holy time. As always, we are committed to showing you how Jesus fulfills these specific passages. In Numbers 28-30, we see that Jesus' Gospel is the new catalytic event around which all our space and time is to be oriented. For more information about Spoken Gospel visit: https://www.spokengospel.com We believe the only path to transformative Bible engagement is to see Jesus and his gospel wherever you are in the story. Jesus taught that he can be seen on every page of the Bible. Only by seeing the light of the Gospel in the face of Jesus can we be transformed into his image (2 Cor. 3:18, 4:6). We want to help people engage with every corner of the Bible in a transformative way. To that end, we are making Christ-centered, devotional podcasts that cover every chapter of the Bible. They are brief field guides through every passage of scripture that explain each chapter within its context and how it reveals more about the good news of Jesus. The Gospel changes things. Through our resources, we hope to create growing, deepening, and transforming Bible engagement that reshapes individuals, churches, and cultures with the Gospel. And we hope that you will join us in that mission.

The world welcomes to its table those from whom it expects a good return on investment. By contrast, the Holy Spirit calls you to imitate Jesus' Gospel philosophy of invitation. This sermon addresses what this means and looks like practically.

Calvary Chapel Reston Station, Reston, VA

Message #377, Matthew 4:12-25, “Jesus' Gospel and Invitation” Sunday, June 9, 2019 As Matthew's gospel continues, he shows us how Jesus fulfilled Old Testament prophecy concerning the Messiah's ministry in Capernaum of Galilee. Matthew tells us of Jesus' ministry of teaching, preaching, and healing. He also writes of Jesus' discipleship of Andrew, Peter, James, and John. Our sermon questions are: Why did Jesus leave Nazareth? How do the words of Jesus reveal our hearts? (Matthew 4:12-17) Is "full-time ministry" a biblical term? What can I learn from Jesus' invitation to follow Him? (Matthew 4:18-25) Related verses: John 1:35-3:21 Luke 3:19-20 Luke 4:16-31 John 8:29 Galatians 1:10-12 1 Corinthians 10:31-33 Acts 5:27-32 1 Peter 2:6-8 Galatians 5:11 1 Corinthians 1:18,23 Romas 9:32-33 John 8:12 Isaiah 9:1-2,6 Proverbs 4:18-19 Matthew 4:17 Pslam 119:105 Hebrews 4:12-13 Ephesians 5:13 2 Timothy 4:1-2,5 2 Timothy 2:24-26 1 Corinthians 9:27 Mark 5,9,14 Deuteronomy 6:5 Matthew 22:37 1 Corinthians 10:31 2 Timothy 2:15 Romans 10:13-17 Matthew 18:8-9 Luke 12:4-5 Calvary Chapel Reston Station 1950 Isaac Newton Sq. We have been fed so richly from the Word of God that Pastor David Johnson has spoken to us over the decades. It is our privilege to celebrate and honor David and Bonnie, and to do what that Hebrews passage directs: to "remember, bring to mind, rehearse, make mention of and be mindful of" David's faith-filled and Spirit-dependent words that have so consistently proclaimed to us the grace and truth of Jesus' Gospel. Aroma Church Weekly Messages

SUNDAY, JUNE 1st, 2014No Other Gospel [1:1-9]Ken Elsner, Lead PastorAbout 30 years after Jesus' Resurrection happened, a letter was written and sent to a group of churches in Galatia, a region of southern Asia Minor. This letter, written by Paul, was urgent and intense. Somewhere along the way, this group of churches began to listen to other teachers that were suggesting that Jesus' gospel wasn't entirely complete. That they need to add extra "practices" in order to be saved. It's interesting to me that we are in a similar time. Whether it's the addition of extra steps of holiness or the over simplification and watering down of Grace, the gospel of Jesus is being compromised. So, for the next 13 weeks, we're going to immerse ourselves in this letter to the churches of Galatia. Hopefully we can walk away each week understanding Jesus' Gospel and maybe, just maybe grow deeper in our walk with him. Week 1
