What happens when faith becomes about performance rather than grace? In this heartfelt and eye-opening conversation, Jonathan Youssef sits down with Cameron Cole, President of Rooted Ministry and author of Heavenward: How Eternity Can Change Your Life on Earth, to talk about breaking the cycle of performance-based Christianity and rediscovering the freeing power of the Gospel for parents and kids alike.Cameron shares his personal story of striving for perfection, hitting burnout, and finally finding rest in the truth that the Gospel means Jesus carries the burden of your life. Together, he and Jonathan explore how parents can nurture grace-filled, Gospel-saturated homes, guide their kids through questions of identity, and help them experience true security in who God says they are.If you've ever felt exhausted by the pressure to “get it all right”—in parenting, ministry, or life—this conversation will remind you that freedom, peace, and joy are found not in performance, but in grace.Follow Candid Conversations on social media:Instagram: @candidpodTikTok: @officiallycandidpodYouTube: @CandidPodSubscribe & Share:If this episode inspired you, please subscribe, leave a review, and share it with others.CANDID LISTENER SURVEYWe love bringing you honest, hope-filled conversations about the Christian faith, and we'd love your feedback. Recording from Atlanta Gospel Truth Conference 2018: Feeling stuck or weighed down? Join Andrew in this powerful study of Romans 6 and discover the life-changing truth: your old self has died, you've been made new in Christ, and God's grace empowers you to live free.
In this gripping continuation of our End Times series, Pastor Travis Hearn unpacks a sobering truth: we are living in the very days the Bible warned us about. In When Right Becomes Wrong, he shines a prophetic light on today's cultural chaos—where deception reigns, morality is collapsing, and darkness is not just around us but rising within us. From AI and mind-controlled tech to the rise of alternative gospels and false prophets, this message exposes how society is embracing the counterfeit while rejecting the truth. Drawing from 2 Timothy 3, Matthew 24, and Revelation 13, Pastor Travis reveals that these aren't just bizarre headlines—they are signs, prophecies fulfilled, and spiritual red flags waving right before our eyes. But in the midst of the darkness, there is a divine promise. God is not silent. He is pouring out His Spirit on all flesh. The enemy may be establishing a system of control, but heaven is orchestrating revival. You'll walk away not just awakened—but armed with biblical clarity, spiritual urgency, and unshakable hope. This is not a message to watch later. This is a message for right now. “When people reject truth, they receive the counterfeit. But when they seek the Truth, they find Jesus.”

In this inaugural episode of the new series "Kingdom Now," Pastor Karl introduces an in-depth journey through the Gospel of Matthew. Titled after Jesus's prayer in Matthew 6, "Your kingdom come, your will be done on earth as it is in heaven," this series explores the unique perspective of Matthew's Gospel, emphasizing the kingdom of God in an upside-down way that challenges expectations. Pastor Karl sets the stage by providing background on the four Gospels, highlighting Matthew's distinct focus on Jesus as the royal Messiah from the line of David, written specifically for a Jewish audience. He delves into Matthew's identity as a former tax collector, illustrating how Jesus transformed his life, changing his identity and direction. Through Matthew's story, Pastor Karl introduces the discipleship process of "belong, become, give, and go," encouraging listeners to reflect on their own spiritual journey. The episode focuses on Matthew 1:1-17, exploring Jesus's genealogy and its purposeful inclusion of unexpected figures, reinforcing the message that when God writes the story, nothing is a mistake. Justin Peters delivers a comprehensive examination of the ruinous ruse of Rome by contrasting Roman Catholic theology with biblical Christianity through the lens of the five Reformation solas. This ruinous ruse of Rome becomes evident when examining salvation by grace alone, faith alone, in Christ alone, for God's glory alone, according to Scripture alone. Peters demonstrates how the Roman Catholic Church has redefined fundamental biblical terms like grace, justification, and faith while adding works, sacraments, and human merit to salvation. This presentation exposes Rome's doctrine of transubstantiation, the sacrifice of the Mass, purgatory, and Marian dogmas as departures from Scripture. Through careful biblical exposition and historical documentation from the Council of Trent, Peters shows how Rome has anathematized the gospel itself by rejecting justification by faith alone and requiring ongoing works for salvation. The message honors the Protestant Reformers who sacrificed their lives—including John Hus, William Tyndale, and Hugh Latimer—to restore biblical truth and make Scripture accessible to all believers. ★ Support this podcast ★

Why do people cheat? In this long-awaited, powerful episode of Serenity on Steroids, we move beyond the surface-level judgment and dive deep into the real root cause of infidelity: impaired self-worth.We unravel how a foundational lie of worthlessness, often planted in childhood, manifests as jealousy, projection, and the fear of abandonment, ultimately leading to the destructive path of cheating. This isn't about excuses; it's about understanding the “why” so we can find true healing. But this isn't just a diagnosis. This is a message of hope and victory. We explore how this deep wound points us to the only one who can heal it, and how Jesus Christ bore our wound of worthlessness on the cross, exchanging our shame for His worth and our identity as orphans for our destiny as children of the King.If you've ever struggled with feelings of not being enough, feared abandonment, or are trying to understand why relationships around you are failing, this episode is for you. This is a journey from brokenness to freedom, from shame to beloved identity. Keywords discussed: Infidelity, cheating, self-worth, self-esteem, fear of abandonment, projection, jealousy, marriage, relationships, healing, childhood wounds, identity in Christ, Gospel, healing, Catholic faith.

The gospel is the truth that changes everything. In Acts 3, after the healing of the lame man, Peter preaches boldly that Jesus is the promised Messiah. From this passage we see that the truth of the gospel reveals God's power, confronts our guilt, offers real hope, and calls us to repentance and submission.

David Forsyth addresses the real dangers associated with growing up Christian in a believing home. While tremendous blessings accompany a Christian upbringing, children growing up in a Christian environment face the peril of mistaking conformity for genuine conversion. The sermon explores Romans 2:1-29, revealing three critical dangers for those growing up Christian: external morality without heart transformation, Bible knowledge that remains intellectual rather than life-changing, and religious ritual divorced from spiritual reality.Growing up Christian does not guarantee salvation, as Paul's indictment of first-century Jews demonstrates that morality, religious knowledge, and ritual observance are insufficient for right standing before God. Children growing up Christian may appear squeaky clean externally while remaining spiritually dead inside. The message emphasizes that growing up Christian requires more than external conformity—it demands genuine faith in Christ that transforms the heart. Just as Jewish people relied erroneously on their heritage and rituals, children growing up Christian risk trusting in their moral behavior, biblical literacy, and church participation rather than embracing Christ personally. The sermon concludes with a passionate call for those growing up in the Christian faith to move beyond externals and embrace the righteousness that comes only through faith in Jesus Christ. ★ Support this podcast ★

Living in Opposition | Spirit, Power & The Church This episode walks through Acts 4 as Peter and John face arrest for healing and preaching in Jesus' name. Their response? Confidence, courage, and clarity in the Holy Spirit. Discover how opposition can actually strengthen your witness, how to speak truth in grace, and why the gospel will always move forward, even when the world says no. Whether you're navigating pressure at work, school, or in your personal life, this message offers clarity, encouragement, and direction. Key Takeaways: • Expect spiritual opposition as a normal part of following Jesus, not a sign of failure. • Persecution often accelerates gospel impact, even when it looks like a setback. • Boldness comes from the Holy Spirit, not your personality or preparation. • Faithfulness in pressure creates platforms for the gospel to be seen and heard. • Prayer isn't just for protection—it's a call for courage and action. On this episode of Uncommon Sense with Ginny Robinson, we confront the horrific attack at Annunciation Catholic School in Minneapolis. The shooter, Robert “Robin” Westman, once walked those same halls as a student. Years of unchecked mental illness and spiritual rebellion ended in bloodshed.America is in denial. We refuse to face the truth: the transgender movement is built on a Satanic lie. No one can change the sex God gave them. Pretending otherwise doesn't heal broken souls, it destroys them and puts others in danger.Christians must speak plainly. Love does not mean affirming sin or confusion. Love means pointing people back to Christ, who alone gives us our identity. Until our nation repents and turns back to God, tragedies like this will only increase.Pray for the victims and their families.--https://policecoffee.com/collections/coffee
Today's episode of Uncommon Sense with Ginny Robinson is a carefully crafted full-on rant about two awful cultural failures, Donald Trump and Taylor Swift. Both, in their own ways, are failing the next generation and pushing the normalization of pedophilia. Trump refuses to release the Epstein list or hold powerful pedophiles accountable. Meanwhile, Taylor Swift flaunts her naked body on her album cover marketed to an audience that includes young girls who are already being tempted by a society pushing them toward OnlyFans. Feminism has clearly failed. We need to bring back the biblical patriarchy, AKA Christianity. At some point, we have to stop asking why is all of this happening and start living biblically individually, in our families, and as a society. For the sake of our own wellbeing and (far more importantly) the protection of our children. If we can't even agree to safeguard their innocence, what are we doing? Why aren't we protecting the children?--https://bakerbookhouse.com/featured/the-brand-sunday

On this episode of Uncommon Sense with Ginny Robinson, we are joined with Juliette Bryant, a courageous survivor of Jeffrey Epstein's vile sex trafficking operation. Lured by the promise of a modeling career, Juliette was instead ensnared in a web of calculated evil. She was abused, exploited, and flown to Epstein's private island where countless others suffered the same fate. This is more than a scandal. It is a moral reckoning. And yet, the full, unredacted Epstein list, containing the names of powerful men who enabled or participated in this wickedness, remains sealed. Why is that?Donald Trump promised the American people he would release it. Now, he mocks those demanding it, calling us “bad people” and “weaklings.” Well, it's actually bad and weak to fail to release the Epstein list, Mr. President. But we will not be intimidated. The righteous are commanded to expose darkness, not negotiate with it. Trump's evasiveness increasingly resembles guilt. It's certainly not strong leadership. We will not be silenced. Not by politicians, not by media, and not by fear. We demand the truth.--https://www.thebrandsunday.com/products/the-bible-study-physical?srsltid=AfmBOoq6zS6i2LVAaJq4sRAuJqL9WZWgV03ccH9c4dufm2XMD0ozmV5S

In this episode, we're joined by the wise and wonderful Lisa Harper — author, Bible teacher, and one of the most joy-filled voices in the Church today. With her trademark humor and heartfelt honesty, Lisa shares a powerful conversation with Shelley Giglio about theology, friendship, and the beauty of living in a deep community connection. Lisa opens up about her early struggles with inadequacy and how, for a time, theology became a mask she wore rather than a lens through which she could truly see Jesus. But as God gently reshaped her heart, Lisa began to understand that real theology is deeply relational, all about knowing Christ and letting that knowledge transform our lives. In this conversation, Lisa lets us into how that revelation has impacted her view on community, and challenges us to do the same. She also gives us a glimpse into what God is doing through her Kerygma Conference and her new book, “A Jesus Shaped Life.” In true Lisa Harper fashion, this episode is filled with both deep belly laughs and powerful theological truths, serving as a reminder to us that theology isn't just for classrooms or scholars, but for every woman longing to know Jesus and walk with Him more closely. The Grove is an extension of all God is doing here at Passion City Church in Atlanta, Georgia, to serve and care for women everywhere. The word "gospel" means "good news.” While we refer to the first four books of the New Testament as "the Gospels," there is really only one gospel. From the moment angels heralded the good news of Jesus' birth to His ascension into heaven—where He promised the coming of a Comforter—these four accounts together illuminate the greatest story ever told.In contrast, our world today often feels overwhelmed by bad news. We don't know whose version of the bad news we can even trust. Yet, amidst the chaos, we know God's Word is true and it's forever settled in heaven. It will be standing firm when all else has fallen and failed. We can be grateful that His Word is unchanging, and that it brings us the ultimate GOOD NEWS.Have you applied the gospel to your own life? Send us your testimony, telling how the good news of Jesus Christ has impacted you. Nojokinexp@gmail.com
In this episode of Uncommon Sense, we're talking about Tucker Carlson's highly discussed interview with Senator Ted Cruz. I'll be sharing my honest thoughts on how it went, why I think Tucker came out ahead, and what this kind of bold, unscripted, and unapologetically frank conversation means for the future of political discourse (spoiler: I'm all for it). We'll go into why I support constructive confrontation—yes, even when it gets "mean" and uncomfortable. The Founding Fathers didn't tiptoe around the truth, so why should we? They debated passionately because the stakes were high. The polite punditry act is wearing thin, and people are tired of political puppets mouthing safe lines. They're craving what we saw here: real conviction, real disagreement, and real questions. We'll cover why I believe Tucker won this exchange: from his biblical literacy to his serious concerns about foreign lobbying groups like AIPAC having a hand in U.S. policy. Ted got visibly nervous when pressed about Scripture, about Israel, and about U.S. involvement in a possible war with Iran. And the question still lingers: Why are we only now suddenly being pushed to act, when Trump was reportedly targeted by Iran two years ago? Most importantly, we'll reflect on Tucker's question—a theological one with deep political ramifications: Who is the real Israel according to God? Is it the modern state that does not believe Jesus is Lord and historically has required a denial of Christ for Jewish returnees? Or is it the true church—those who belong to Christ?I'll share my belief unapologetically: Israel is the body of believers in Jesus Christ. Not those who reject Him. Not those who crucified Him. That's a hard truth, but a necessary one in these last days when clarity very much matters.Faith shouldn't be a popularity contest.--https://www.thebrandsunday.com/products/the-bible-study-physical?srsltid=AfmBOorwAVEYslTlOGA-36_bHHjruNDOebEKWQ6M2115NZZwL8WG_ali

On this episode of Uncommon Sense with Ginny Robinson, I explain why I've shifted to a neutral stance on the Israel-Iran conflict. While mainstream media pressures us to “pick a side,” Scripture tells a deeper story, one that's not bound by modern borders or politics.Christians are the true Israel, not by race or nation, but by faith in Christ. The Church is the chosen people of God, not a geopolitical state. So why are we being told that standing with the a government equals standing with God?We'll unpack the phrase “Judeo-Christian”—what it really means (and what it doesn't)—and discuss how religiously manipulative narratives can cloud our judgment. Supporting everything any group does (whether Jewish, Christian, or Muslim) is not biblical discernment. It's idolatry.None of us are perfect. Not every Christian represents Christ well, and not every Jew or Muslim represents their faith's ideals either. So let's step back, seek the truth, and refuse to be emotionally blackmailed into blind allegiance.--https://policecoffee.com/collections/coffee
