My man Kevin Bednarz is the guest on Episode 011 of Mission Statements. I first met him in June of 2019 at the "All Star Comic Con" in Virginia, an event he put together. A member of the Delta Bravo Team, an owner of three establishments that happen to be sponsors of the show and an incredible artist. We talk locations, conventions and we steer into horror and serial killer stuff. Why are we so interested in things like maniacs and murderers? We speak on his annual "Inktober" art work and this year's charity, the Stillbrave Childhood Cancer Foundation... who benefited from the proceeds this year. I stopped in Purcellville, Virginia towards the end of my road trip in July, ate and chopped it up for a while. We touch on a topic we've been casually throwing around from time to time and hopefully sooner rather than later, myself, Kevin and a couple two, three other people will pull the trigger and make it come to fruition. As always, having a conversation with like-minded people who share the same interests was a lot of fun. I hope you enjoy this one. Respect. Stay Gold. On this bonus episode of MISSION STATEMENTS, I decided to do something a bit out of the box. At the same time, I felt it absolutely necessary. My guest is "Tattoo" Tom Mitchell. He is the founder and director of Stillbrave Childhood Cancer Foundation. I learned about him and his charity through his good friend and fellow Delta Bravo Team member Kevin Bednarz. Once I realized what this man has gone through and what he has been doing, I needed to speak with him and I became an instant supporter. Please listen or watch on YouTube. This guy is something special. Respect. The Heart of NOVACON George is joined by guest co-host Tom McKeon, otherwise known as the Heart of NOVACON. NOVACON (www.thenovacon.com) was the comic, gaming, cosplaying, pop culture event held at the Ritz-Carlton in Tysons Corner, VA July 28-30 this year. Last week you heard George speak with Ming Chen from AMC's Comic Book Men at the convention (check out episode 183 in our archives at www.georgeandtony.com) and you heard George and his nephew Frank discuss their volunteering experiences. This week, Tom tells George about his own adventures volunteering in almost all aspects of the show. We had originally planned a round table discussion about NOVACON but scheduling conflicts prevented that. Not only did Tom provide more than enough behind-and-in-front-of-the-scenes stories, George also had a chance to record a conversation with Kevin Bednarz, one of the key players behind NOVACON. This episode provides a nice epilogue to NOVACON 2017. Subscribe on iTunes and share our links on social media. Help like-minded, fun loving people discover us by leaving us reviews. You never know who you'll meet or what you'll learn on The George and Tony Entertainment Show.
Kevin and Mike are live from NOVACON! They talk with con-goers about their experiences at NOVACON and there’s a special appearance by NOVACON founder, Kevin Bednarz.

In this episode, we discuss becoming a person of value by learning a unique skill that can serve someone else, why Kevin took the pay cut to transition to a management role, the approach Kevin took to becoming a bar owner, catering to what your customers want, how you can create a promotion out of anything, staying clean, functional and relevant, how to market a modern day restaurant or pub. Artist. Bar Owner. Comic Book Shop Owner. Entrepreneur. Hustler. Husband & Father. Bednarz wears a lot of hats, but the one thing that he always manages to accomplish in all of his passions is having fun. Kevin is the Owner / Operator of The Ashburn Pub, Northern Virginia's original neighborhood pub. With over 20 years in business, the Pub is a landmark restaurant that features amazing food, a full bar, craft beers, 11 TVs and exciting monthly events.
Baltimore Comic Con 2016 Act III The trio. The triumvirate. The trifecta. All great things deserve a trilogy...but we gave ourselves one anyway. This is the third and final installment featuring interviews George conducted at this year's Baltimore Comic Con. Well, these two SHOULD have been done at the convention but thanks to user error, the discussions on this week's show were done as a post script after the show. First up is podcasting icon Darrell Taylor of www.taylornetworkofpodcasts.com who trusted George to hit the record button this time. He talks about podcasting, comics, and an unhealthy infatuation with current Batman scribe Tom King...all from the lean, mean streets of New York City. Then we hear from artist and entrepeneur Kevin Bednarz of Comic Logic in Ashburn, VA (www.comiclogicva.com) who tells us about all his business ventures: Comic Logic, The Ashburn Pub, and the latest and greatest Comic Con for you to get excited about in July 2017 - NOVACON!!! All that plus geocaching and MCA Day. Darrell was also on episode 93 and you can briefly hear Kevin at the end of episode 66 (recorded at Comic Logic on Free Comic Book Day 2015). Check our archives on iTunes and www.georgeandtony.com and share our links on your social media pages. Don't forget those five-star reviews also help us promote the show.
Kumamon's Space Jeans at Comic Logic With a title like that, it has to be good! Check them out at www.comiclogicva.com and follow and "Like" them on Facebook and Twitter. With Tony still shoveling, George talks to his guests about another Drink and Draw, upcoming events at the store, Fluxx, blind boxes, Star Wars, and a whole lot of fun things. Wanna see Kristina's embroidered bags, hoodies, and cosplay costumes? Shop at https://www.etsy.com/shop/zombisaur. This week, The Clergy had the distinct honor of assisting Comic Logic open its doors. We managed to snag a couple interviews, then reconvened in the studio for a run-down. Where’s Ira? Goth Joker gets a proper bashing. “Bad Boy Carnage” breaks a few fingers, while Kevin Bednarz proves that even Vince Vaughn look-a-likes can open a comic shop (as...
