We think it's pretty safe to say that over the years the love for IPAs has grown exponentially. First it was English-style IPAs, then West Coasts, then came session IPAs, and of course the haze craze. You could almost say that we've been hypnotized by the magic powers of IPAs. @firestonewalker has created the perfect name for this phenomenon: Hopnosis. And it's not only a new word - but more importantly it's a new IPA! In this week's episode of Drinking Socially hosts Harrison Hickok and Kyle Roderick say hello to Firestone Walker Brewmaster Matt Brynildson. The six time winner of ""Brew of the Year"" at the Great American Beer Festival and wizard behind Firestone Walker's amazing beers will blow your minds as he chats about West Coast IPAs, new school hops, and Hopnosis.
Plus, since Kyle's favorite badge is “You Don't Know Brett” we'll crack an Enjoy After 12.26.15 Brett IPA from Stone Brewing Co. Earn this badge by checking-in any beer in the style of Brett Beer, American Wild Ale, IPA - Brett, or Wild Ale - Other. We also highlight Pour Decisions Taproom in Hollister, CA as our Verified Venue of the Week and shout out Burial Beer Co. and Ne Anthem Beer Project for crafting the best beers we had this week.
