If you own a car long enough, its desirable traits automatically become the things you may look for in your next car. Louie D. in San Diego loves the elements that make up his high-mileage Mazda Protégé5, but simply needs a newer car. Michael W. in Surrey County, UK has his daily needs met, but is now searching for a classic ‘starter’ Porsche, and wonders what his best options are. Social media questions ask what old car quirks are strange and scary, how to understand weight transfer while track driving, and do we really need such big electric trucks and SUVs to be so quick? Season 6 is now airing on the Motor Trend cable channel, and soon to be available on Amazon Prime and Vimeo worldwide. Today I met up with my good friend and fellow artist Louie D, at his home/studio, in the heart of Little Havana, Miami, Florida. Before we proceeded to record this week's episode, he gave me a tour of his home. I remember walking in and saying to myself, "this is how I want my studio to feel." Art on every wall, colors, textures, a bookshelf filled with records, and Miles Davis' "Blue In Green" faintly plays in the background. This was the perfect setting to create. Louie showed me his sketch books, the stories behind the art on his walls, generating such a vast amount of inspiration within. Check out this weeks episode now available on Apple, Anchor.fm, Spotify and Stitcher.
