Real Christianity is lived out in a body: an individual body and a communal body. God graciously gives our bodies gifts to serve His body, the Church.

As a culture, we are consumers who buy, experience, read, listen, and enjoy unlike any other. Sometimes, we allow this culture to make its way into church. At times, our worship services and our gatherings become more about us than it's true purpose. So, what is the purpose that we are called to? Is our faith one that merely consumes what God has for us or is there more to it. Join us as we continue in our sermon series "Who We Are" as we explore our identity as a church.
Romans 12:1-13 "God's will is for us to live together in community using what He has given us to serve each other."
Children's Ministry Service Message: God has different purposes for our lives. In order for God to use us, we have to position ourselves according to His word.

The church must function together to accomplish its mission. A church on a mission is unified and using its gifts. The church needs the people to stand and use their gifts to bring glory to God.
“Sacrifice has power. The greater the sacrifice, the greater the spiritual power. As the Scriptures declare, all of creation was made for the Son and through Him, and in Him all things hold together. There is nothing in this universe as precious as the Son of God. Nothing greater could be sacrificed. That is why the cross is the very power of God (see 1 Corinthians 1:18). There is no power greater in this universe than what is available to us through the cross of Jesus” (Rick Joyner). “Today’s sacrifice releases tomorrow’s provision and privilege. Today’s humility releases greater grace for the future. What you do matters, and how you live determines, in part, your outcome. So stretch yourself in prayer, love, fasting, and acts of kindness. Sow some seed in desperation and faith, and watch God move in your behalf!” (James Goll).

Our mission at Community Church of Greenwood is to proclaim the Gospel of Jesus Christ and live in full devotion to Him. We want to help people far from God to experience new life in Jesus Christ.
Gospel driven church is full of zealous, enthusiastic, not lazy individuals looking to serve others with the gifts and talents they have from God. They give themselves as a living sacrifice unto God for his service and the service of the church.

Better Together: "Serving Others"
God Hates Loneliness If Better Together needs a testimonial, how about one from God! Can you top that? In Genesis 2, after pronouncing all of creation “good,” he finally says one thing is “not good.” What is it? Being alone. So God makes Eve for Adam. We are made for community.
