Welcome to "The Bible in Today's World", the show that compares today's world with the Word of God. In general and specifically, are we following the Bible in our daily walks? Is society demanding that we follow the Word of God in all that we do? Does our Almighty Father look upon us and frequently say, "Well done, good and faithful servant!" - or is He thinking of us as He thought/thinks of Sodom and Gomorrah? On today's show, we will discuss 1 Thessalonians - Chapter 1.
In this episode of Fresh Text, host John Drury and guest Sarah Hinlicky Wilson delve into 2 Thessalonians Chapter 1, exploring themes of worthiness, judgment, and the nature of God's justice. They discuss the historical and theological context of the text, examining the language of worthiness and righteousness, and the implications of God's retributive justice. The conversation also touches on the challenges of interpreting difficult passages and the importance of prayer in understanding and applying scripture.

Transforming Perspectives | Rapture, a term some use to refer to the events of gathering of believers in the EndTimes, is the most scoffed term pertaining to Christianity, often, accompanying vivid imagery of men ominously ascending into the night sky. Be not dismayed by scorners nor scoffing! Bible Prophecy is certain, and several events will occur in which the Lord will gather believers to himself by the omnipotence of God.Jesus Christ exclaimed of these certain times and moments as signs of the End, exhorting of steadfastness in faith, remaining spiritually ready for his return. In Matthew's accounts, Jesus uses contrasts and comparisons of faithfulness, of similar persons actively working in the last days, yet some will ascend and some will remain. Notably, in this example, the Hebrew term, describes of being spiritually anchored relationally, in the Lord, saying, “Then shall two be in the field; the one shall be taken, and the other left. Two women shall be grinding at the mill; the one shall be taken, and the other left.” Matthew 24:40-41, King James Version.Furthermore, Apostle Paul responds to believer's concerns, rebuking cynicism, events of believer's being raised at the trumpet's blast at the Lord's Return. Paul expresses of several gatherings, which are explained, as either ‘catching up or taken' in Scriptures. Formidably, Apostle Paul describes events aligning with John the Apostle's witness of the Lord's Return, and of God's great mercy of gathering those remaining during the great tribulation, having come into the Faith, “And I said unto him, Sir, thou knowest. And he said to me, These are they which came out of great tribulation, and have washed their robes, and made them white in the blood of the Lamb. The sermon, "The Impact of the Gospel Message," is an exposition of 1 Thessalonians Chapter 1, focusing on the transformative power of the Gospel as evidenced in the lives of the believers in Thessalonica. The message encourages listeners to have a faith that is active, loving, and hopeful, and to let their lives powerfully proclaim the Gospel to the world. Key Characteristics of the Thessalonian Believers The Apostle Paul expresses gratitude for three virtues demonstrated by the Thessalonians: Work of Faith: Their faith was not passive but active, inspiring them to live out what they believed. Their actions were a direct result of their faith in Christ's death and resurrection to save them from sin.

Join host Jeff Shepherd on Right On Radio for a Sunday deep dive into 2 Thessalonians chapter 2. After opening prayer and a musical intro from DJ Misty B (aka Misty River), Jeff reads and walks listeners through Paul's warning about end-time deception, the coming “day of the Lord,” and the apostasy that must come first. This episode covers a wide range of topics: the rapture and timeline debates (pre-trib vs. other views), the identity and timing of the man of lawlessness, what — or who — restrains evil now, and how false signs and wonders will play into the great deception. Jeff critiques the New Apostolic Reformation (NAR) movement, explains why modern manipulative worship and prophetic techniques are dangerous, and contrasts false manifestations with authentic work of the Holy Spirit. Key points emphasized: don't be quickly shaken by spirits, messages, or letters; hold fast to Scripture and the gospel; be discerning in the face of modern prophetic claims; plan practically for trials rather than assuming instant escape; and keep trusting in God's provision and comfort. Jeff argues the restrainer is tied to Jesus/the Word of God rather than an absence of the Holy Spirit, and he explains how the Lord will ultimately defeat the lawless one. Guests and voices on the episode include DJ Misty B (Misty River), Sister Wendy, prayer leaders Laura and Kimberly, and several Right On Radio community members who joined the live prayer call. The show also features a powerful testimony: a first-time prayer caller received an instantaneous miracle after anointed prayer, illustrating the difference between counterfeit signs and genuine Holy Spirit activity. Practical takeaways and community notes: be a Berean—test everything by Scripture, guard your personal walk and prayer life, and do not let social media, angry emails, or manipulative messages derail your faith. The host encourages listeners to stay active in prayer, expect God to move, and prepare spiritually and practically for difficult days. Announcements: Jeff shares scheduling news (a short sabbatical, possible Podbean live updates from a camping trip) and invites listeners to support Right On Radio via the Linktree links in the episode description. Closing encouragements: be loved, be blessed, stand firm, and continue to pray for the ministry and for Jeff as he steps away briefly. Thank you for Listening to Right on Radio. In this episode, Pastor Ants unpacks 1 Thessalonians 4 and shows how Paul's words to a young church still hit home today. Two thousand years later, we're wrestling with the same realities—sex, money, and death—and Paul anchors us in three unshakable truths: Holiness. Love. Hope. Discover why holiness isn't God holding you back—it's God holding you together. Learn how real love doesn't just feel, it labours. And be reminded that hope isn't a feeling—it's a future. Whether you've grown up in church or you're just exploring faith, this message will encourage you to live with holiness that protects, love that binds, and hope that lasts.
