Robin Wolaver shares the origins of the Annie Moses Band, a classical crossover, jazz-infused and bluegrass-twinged family-band that she and her composer/arranger husband, Bill, pioneered together with their 6 homeschooled children. Several of them are Juilliard graduates and all are classically trained in the fine arts. It all started with Annie Moses, Robin's grandmother, who planted the seeds for the Wolaver family several generations later. She shares the fascinating story with me, plus how she was able to raise such exceptional children. The Wolaver's now run a conservatory of the arts, a summer music festival, a curriculum and a complete audio/video production studio all dedicated to populating the world of the arts with godly excellence! If you are raising young children, perhaps you'll be inspired by the story and legacy of Annie Moses with your family!

THE ANNIE MOSES BAND has wowed audiences performing their unique roots music that blossoms into a baroque-pop sound flavored with a shot of classical fervor and dy-namic string instrumentation. Named after their great grandmother who prioritized mu-sical education for her children, even in poverty stricken times, The Annie Moses Band is comprised of 9 members of the Wolaver family, several who are Julliard alumni. The band has just released their latest album 'Pilgrims and Prodigals'. It's a sophisticated, complex blending of classical, jazz, folk, bluegrass and even a frisson of Celtic thrown in for good measure. JOE MULLINS & THE RADIO RAMBLERS are one of the hottest music acts in the Midwest. They are the 2012 IBMA Emerging Artist of the Year. The band is collaboration of veteran Bluegrass musicians who have worked with one another during former musical endeavors, in the Ohio Valley. They are fronted by Joe Mullins, a banjo player and AM radio station owner that has earned 5 IBMA awards and 3 SPBGM awards over the past two decade.
Adam and Bryan from Keglines are back and we get so into the frolicking that we ended up doing two hours worth of show. Part one is this week and the thrilling conclusion will be up next. It's the first time we've talked to them after Rock The Rickets so we have a lot of catching up to do. We sample some great beer from Wolaver, Sierra Nevada, Rohrbach's, and Goose Island. Adam screws up little kids, while Bryan doesn't interact with humans. Dave's not an internet predator, honest. Bryan's and Adam's love affair takes an ugly turn. We welcome the appearance of Corner Boy! We discuss blumpkins and Bryan's porn habit. Music: Kanekoa - Morning Sun Victoria Vox - Shake It Up Kill Henry Sugar - Johnny Appleseed Tim Robbins and The Rogues Gallery - Toledo Girl
