Part 1- This is the first of four installments of a special Constant Procession miniseries series to celebrate the 200th year of the Erie Canal and how my creation of a documentary about the canal brought me closer to the Virgin Mary. During the movie shoots over a 5-year period I discovered that as I traveled to parts of New York State unknown to me, I found the Virgin Mary was always there. I became more sensitive to the real nature of her presence and I've continued to find her as I go on my overseas travels. Part 1 covers the reasons for the need of a canal in the early years of the United States of America. And the episode ends with the person responsible for making the project happen. Here is the beginning of the story: A big part of America's history almost never got built. Its builders ignored presidential advice, risked millions of dollars, and changed the course of America's society by building a ditch. Work was begun in 1817 and completed in only seven years. But it was not simply a matter of digging a few trenches to link one river to a second and a third and so on. This was a man-made ditch, four feet deep, the height of an average car, and 40 feet wide, the width of a four-lane highway, 363 miles long, running almost the entire length of New York State, from East in Albany to West in Buffalo. Part 17- This is the seventeenth and final installment of my first book “The Constant Procession.” Ukrainian churches during the times of the USSR were kept alive thru immigrants to North America. Medjugorje, does not come to mind as a vacation spot. But it has inspired visiting pilgrims to spread the Madonna's words. For young people, who have not lived more than thirty years, this area of the world is typically not on their radar. For those who have lived a bit longer, there remains a dark mental imprint. A remembrance that recalls brutality inflicted on people within this region as they experienced civil war in the 1990's. Fighting caused by the breaking up of Yugoslavia. For me, the news reporting during that period of the civil war did little to help explain the confusing jumble of puzzling information that ominously included atrocities, genocide and war crimes. Yet this area is where the Madonna appeared. She offered to the world a surprising counterpoint to humanities deeds. Charlamos con Vicky acerca de la anorexia, la sanación, la cruz de diez pérdidas de embarazo, la curación milagrosa de una sobrina, de cómo hacer multiplicar los talentos y de ser para el Señor. Vicky es cantante y sacó su primer disco en 2012, el cual estuvo nominado para los premios Gardel. También compuso un disco para bebés con la llegada de su primer hijo. A pesar de tener un augurioso camino por delante como cantante, dejó su carrera a un lado para escuchar lo que el señor le pedía: un canto nuevo de alabanza. Durante años dio clases de música/juego para distintas fundaciones y cantando canciones de Dios, pero fue en Medjugorje donde ve que tenía que grabar videos con cantos nuevos. Así empezó el camino de Talita Kum, donde compuso y grabó muchísimas canciones, comenzó a hacer videos y crear materiales para los más pequeños.
