Listeners of Bridgetown Audio Podcast that love the show mention:The Bridgetown Audio Podcast has been an incredible discovery for me. As a listener from Alabama, I stumbled upon this podcast in January of this year and it has become such a gift in my life. The teachings from Tyler and the other pastors at Bridgetown have been like a balm to me in so many ways. I have learned and grown so much through their depth, challenges, and teachings. It makes me want to live in Portland just to be part of their community. I am grateful for finding this weekly sermon and will continue to share it with others.
One of the best aspects of The Bridgetown Audio Podcast is the depth and teaching quality of the sermons. Whether it's Tyler or any other pastor speaking, the teachings are consistently impactful, thought-provoking, and biblically sound. They offer a pragmatic, sensible, and reasonable approach to faith that I have been searching for my whole life. The sermons provide a fresh perspective on what it means to follow Jesus in today's world, without getting caught up in political or ideological biases. The podcast reaches listeners with truth and love.
Another great aspect of this podcast is the authenticity and humility of the pastors at Bridgetown. They genuinely love Christ and their humility is inspirational in a broken world. Listening to them speak about their faith encourages me in my own spiritual journey.
If there was one criticism I could make about The Bridgetown Audio Podcast, it would be that they no longer produce daily episodes. The daily episodes were a highlight for many listeners during the pandemic, providing a combination of Bible-centered meditation and self-care practices that refreshed souls on a daily basis. Although I understand that producing daily content can be challenging, it would be wonderful if they brought back the daily episodes.
In conclusion, The Bridgetown Audio Podcast is truly special. Their teachings have changed my walk with Christ and I cannot express enough gratitude for this podcast. Bridgetown is a church that submits to the Kingdom of God rather than the politics of the day, and it is hard to find this kind of love for Jesus in many places. I am encouraged, blessed, and inspired by their mission and love for Christ. The sermons are anointed, the teaching staff is gifted, and I am thankful to have found this podcast.
John 15v9-13 with Gavin Bennett At the center of our faith is this stunning reality: God is love (1 John 4v8). This means that love isn't just something God does—it's who he is. Out of this very nature, God created life and sent his Son into the world. He did not do this in response to our love for him, but because he first loved us (1 John 4v9–10). As followers of Jesus, we are invited to receive that love deeply and let it shape our whole lives. https://bridgetown.church/teaching

In this teaching, John Mark Comer reflects on Colossians 3v15, inviting Followers of Jesus to “let the peace of Christ rule” in the core of their being. He shares his personal journey with anxiety and how cultivating inner peace is essential for living a life of love in a troubled world. Our aim, in the way of Jesus is to become a gift of sacrificial love for the sake of others. But the thing about “others” is that no matter how pure the intentions to love, we inevitably wrong and are wronged by the very people we're trying to love. If we are to truly become a gift of sacrificial love for the sake of others, we also need to become a people of sustained forgiveness for the sake of others. From Matthew 18v21-35.
