Sydney was in ministry. She was serving God, leading others, preaching His love and promises. But behind closed doors, she felt miles away from Him. She knew God's word. She could quote the promises. She believed they were true... for everyone else. But for her, they felt so far off. Like words on a page that didn't quite land in her heart. And on top of that, she was going through a breakup, questioning her job, unsure of her next steps, and secretly struggling with food in a way she'd never fully acknowledged before. She found comfort in food. She thought that was normal. But she didn't realize how much that comfort was masking a deeper disconnection from herself and from God. Sydney was stuck in a cycle of comparison, shame, and pressure. She put so much pressure on herself to have her walk with God look a certain way, to feel a certain way about Him. And when she didn't, the shame would creep in. She couldn't separate her circumstances from her view of God. And she couldn't separate the drama in her head from the truth. Everything felt true. The lies felt like facts. And she didn't know how to sift through it. In June 2025, at 26 years old, Sydney made a decision. She wasn't going to keep living like this. She wasn't going to let this be her narrative for the rest of her life. She was single, she had time, and she knew: why not now? In this powerful case study, Sydney shares how she finally learned to separate what she perceived to be her reality from what was actually true. How she got to the bottom of the iceberg instead of just trying to fix the tip. How she learned to feel her feelings without falling down the rabbit hole. How she stopped slapping positive affirmations and Scripture on top of pain that hadn't been processed. And how she finally invited God into the one area of her life she'd kept Him out of: her food, her body, her self-image. Today, Sydney is living from a place of freedom. She's comfortable being alone with herself and with God. She actually looks forward to journaling and praying. She's not turning to food for comfort anymore because she's found real comfort in God and in herself. And the sweetest part? She's now able to pass on what she's learned. She's helping her friends catch the lies they're believing. She's loving people better because she finally learned how to love herself. If you've ever felt like you know God's promises are true but they don't feel true for you, or if you've ever felt disconnected from God even while serving Him, Sydney's story is for you. Because healing isn't about trying harder or knowing more. It's about getting to the root. And it's about finally inviting God into the places you've kept Him out. A BOLO for a 40-year-old woman wanted for kidnapping near Tucson became the biggest Nancy Guthrie headline in weeks — even though authorities have said plainly that the two cases aren't connected. That gap between the facts and the reaction is the story worth telling.Coral Michelle Smith is wanted for kidnapping and aggravated assault with a deadly weapon after a May 29th incident at the intersection of River Road and La Cholla Boulevard, approximately 6.8 miles from Nancy Guthrie's Catalina Foothills home. She's 5'6”, 136 pounds, with a criminal record stretching back fifteen years. The Guthrie porch suspect is 5'9” to 5'10” with an apparent wrist tattoo that Smith doesn't have. The criminal profiles are worlds apart — Smith's history is street-level, opportunistic, and interpersonal. The Guthrie case involves what the evidence suggests was a planned operation. So why did this routine BOLO go national? Because the Nancy Guthrie investigation has gone four months without a named suspect, and that silence has turned the Catalina Foothills into a place where every nearby crime carries the gravitational weight of an unsolved case. Draw a seven-mile circle around any point in a metro area of over a million people and you will find violent crime that has nothing to do with the address at the center of the circle. That's math, not a lead. But when a family has been waiting four months for an answer that hasn't come, math doesn't register the way it should. I break down what we actually know about the Smith case, what we don't know because the sheriff's department has declined to share details, and what both cases reveal about a system that isn't delivering — for Nancy's family or for whoever was allegedly taken at River and La Cholla.Join Our SubStack For AD-FREE ADVANCE EPISODES & EXTRAS!: https://hiddenkillers.substack.com/ Want to comment and watch this podcast as a video? Sometimes you're in a room full of people you love — and all you can hear is the wind. May is Mental Health Awareness Month. This episode is a solo one — no guest, no debate, no conversation across political or religious difference. Just Corey, a piece he wrote in the middle of some darkness, and the motorcycle he never really got off. "A Thousand Miles Away" is an essay about Bipolar disorder, about the particular loneliness of being a million miles from the world even when your body is present in it, and about the cultural and religious messages that told him to keep his mouth shut about all of it. It's also about what has helped — meditation, neuroplasticity, and the odd grace of still being on the road. The full essay is on Corey's Substack. ──────────────────────────────────────── [00:02:09] Todd Blanche Claims There Are Victims But No Perpetrators in the Epstein Files Trump's new AG pick told reporters he has no idea whether any men abused Epstein's victims — after his DOJ redacted perpetrator names while exposing victim names. Senator John Kennedy of Louisiana publicly mocked the logic: victims with no perpetrators. ──────────────────────────────────────── [00:07:32] Bondi's DOJ Dropped 23,000 Criminal Cases to Make Room for Immigration Enforcement The Trump DOJ declined to prosecute more cases in a single month than any month since at least 2004 — nearly double the previous record — while adding 32,000 new immigration cases. 74% of immigration detainees had no criminal record whatsoever. ──────────────────────────────────────── [00:11:13] Judge Napolitano: Netanyahu Has Blackmail Material on Trump — Epstein Revelations Could Destroy Him Napolitano states Trump is under Netanyahu's thumb because Israeli-linked donors can document personal misconduct and will fund primary challengers if Trump abandons Israel — making the Epstein coverup directly connected to the Iran war's continuation. ──────────────────────────────────────── [00:21:12] Supreme Court Birthright Citizenship Arguments: Trump's Solicitor General Was Unprepared and Missed Every Lifeline Gorsuch repeatedly tried to hand the solicitor general winning arguments about Native American citizenship and the original meaning of domicile — and the government's lawyer failed to grasp any of them, likely dooming Trump's one constitutionally correct policy position. ──────────────────────────────────────── [00:53:20] Five Countries Now Mandating Work From Home Due to Trump's Fuel Crisis — QR Fuel Rationing Proposed Malaysia, Pakistan, Vietnam, Thailand, and the Philippines have implemented work-from-home mandates or four-day workweeks due to the energy crisis. The IEA has proposed QR-code-based fuel rationing — described as perfectly aligned with long-term digital control agendas. ──────────────────────────────────────── [00:59:00] War-Driven Fuel Crisis Bigger Than 1973 OPEC Embargo — Cascading Into Food, Manufacturing, Plastics Analysts describe the Iran war energy disruption as the largest in modern history, surpassing OPEC and COVID shocks combined. Effects are cascading through agriculture, fertilizer, packaging, and transport — with full secondary impacts still months away. ──────────────────────────────────────── [01:06:54] Small Businesses Crushed: Diesel Costs Have Doubled as a Share of Revenue Since War Began A Tampa moving company reports fuel costs jumped from 3-5% to 6-10% of revenue in weeks. The US Postal Service added fuel surcharges for the first time in history. Amazon added a 3.5% fuel surcharge. Airlines are adding baggage fees to hide the real price increase. ──────────────────────────────────────── [01:11:01] Gold Is Now the Reserve Currency — Petro-Yuan Backed by Gold Is Taking Shape in Real Time Nassim Taleb and multiple analysts now state gold has replaced the dollar as the global reserve currency. China is hoarding gold with vaults in Riyadh and Hong Kong. The petro-yuan backed by gold is described as the direct consequence of Trump's weaponization of the dollar. ──────────────────────────────────────── [01:13:18] Strait of Hormuz Commercial Traffic Down 95% — US Navy Sailing 500 Miles Away to Avoid Being Sunk Commercial shipping through the Strait has fallen by 95-97%, removing 15 million barrels per day from global supply. Singapore jet fuel is at $231 per barrel. The US Navy is sailing 500-800 miles away from the Gulf in evasive patterns to avoid being targeted. ──────────────────────────────────────── [01:15:58] Iran War Costs US Taxpayers Over $11 Billion Per Week — Trump Wants to Raise Defense Budget 50% The Israeli war on Iran is costing over $11 billion per week. Trump has proposed raising the military budget from $1 trillion to $1.5 trillion — a 50% increase — while telling Americans he has no time to address daycare, infrastructure, or domestic needs. ──────────────────────────────────────── [01:41:06] Pope Calls Out Hegseth: You Are Turning Christianity Into a God of War The Pope publicly rebuked Hegseth over the weekend for his theology of war, stating he is offering a god of war rather than the God of the New Testament. No fanfare. No safety net. The company operates over 260 facilities across more than 15 countries. The facility targeted in the lawsuit processes used cooking grease and chicken byproducts like meat, fat, bone and feathers. The site consists of two buildings: a processing plant and a feather plant.According to the suit, the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) has received nearly 1,440 complaints regarding Darling Ingredients' facility since May 2024, with hundreds coming in the last three months. Hidden Killers With Tony Brueski | True Crime News & Commentary
December 6th, 2025. Monique and Spencer Tepe are in Indianapolis watching the Big Ten Championship. According to court documents, Michael McKee was at their Columbus home that same day—captured on surveillance walking through their yard.Monique left the game at halftime. Upset about something involving her ex-husband.Did she somehow know he'd been there? Did she sense something? Three weeks later, she and Spencer were dead. This episode combines FBI behavioral analysis with a hard look at why victims of stalking so often don't report—even when they know they're in danger.Robin Dreeke, former head of the FBI's Counterintelligence Behavioral Analysis Program, breaks down the psychology of McKee's alleged eight-year obsession. The threats witnesses say he made over the years. The alleged abuse during the marriage—strangulation, forced sex. The December 6th reconnaissance trip that allegedly preceded the killings by three weeks.Robin explains the behavioral distinction between threats made as manipulation and threats made as rehearsal. When someone says "I could kill you at any time" for eight years and then allegedly does it—what was happening psychologically during that timeline? What does it mean when the threats finally stop being words? We also examine the gap between knowing you're in danger and the system being able to help. What does Ohio law actually require for a protection order? What holds victims back from reporting? And what can the legal system do when someone is being stalked by a person who technically hasn't broken the law yet? This isn't victim blaming. It's understanding why the space between fear and action is so hard to cross—and what you can do if you're in that space right now.#MoniqueTepe #SpencerTepe #MichaelMcKee #RobinDreeke #December6th #DomesticViolence #Stalking #FBIBehavioralAnalysis #HiddenKillers #TrueCrimeJoin Our SubStack For AD-FREE ADVANCE EPISODES & EXTRAS!: https://hiddenkillers.substack.com/Want to comment and watch this podcast as a video? On September 10th, 2021, just after midnight, Key West police received an unusual 911 call—not from a local resident, but from a man in Boston watching a live feed. He believed he was witnessing a sexual assault. Other callers also reported a naked woman crying and screaming in the street. When officers located her, the story she told was shocking, chaotic, and infuriating.

BT opens the show with an emotional reflection before pivoting to the "utterly depressing" state of New York football. He breaks down the failures of both the Jets and Giants into six "non-negotiable" components (Owner, GM, Head Coach, Quarterback, O-Line, Pass Rush), arguing both franchises are miles away from NFL relevance with no quick fixes in sight. Tierney rips the Giants for a surprising meltdown and insists GM Joe Shane must be fired. For the Jets, the focus shifts to the draft, with BT debating the high-stakes potential of trading up for QB Fernando Mendoza and the worrying comparison to "Kirk Cousins-esque" moxie. He declares watching both teams' games now "feels like a job" due to the total lack of competitive football.

The Plimsouls, led by guitarist/singer/songwriter Peter Case, released a couple of terrific albums in the early ‘80's, fusing power pop, punk and R&B into their own unique blend. “A Million Miles Away” was featured in the film Valley Girl, and should've catapulted The Plimsouls onto greater fame, but their career stalled and the band split up by the mid-'80's. To some, this song marks The Plimsouls as One-Hit-Wonders, but their albums are chock-a-block with great songs. Still, there's no denying the brilliance of “A Million Miles Away” and on this episode, we take a close look at this timeless classic. "A Million Miles Away" (P. Case, J. Alkes, C. Surprise! We bought a house! In this episode, we unpack (emotionally, not physically... we are still avoiding the boxes and Buffy likes to sit on them) the chaotic rollercoaster of home buying. The stress, mama! The Scotch Tape Scam of it all!! Each day, our deep disdain for cheapo house flippers wallows deeper and deeper lol. We also discuss why packing is dreadful and why we'd rather be bald in a suit at a Pitbull concert. Plus, we pay our respects to Mother Ethel Cain.
