In this episode, Dr. Baron sits down with Naomi Nachman, a well-known kosher food personality, author, and travel connoisseur, to discuss her personal experience with pregnancy loss from years ago. She shares the story of her second pregnancy, only to discover at a routine five-month checkup that her baby no longer had a heartbeat. This conversation explores the intersection of faith and medical trauma, highlighting Naomi's deep-rooted bitachon (faith) that continues to carry her through life-changing moments. Naomi Nachman reflects on one of the most painful chapters of her journey: continuing to carry her pregnancy after learning she had lost her baby. She shares how leaning on her faith helped her move through everyday interactions with strength, and how it became a source of peace during an unimaginably difficult time. If you are carrying a heavy grief from many years ago or navigating the intersection of faith and medical trauma, this episode is for you. Longtime listeners of The Remnant know well Jonah Goldberg's hatred of the extremist, oligarchic, necromantic political conclaves holding our nation hostage, otherwise known as primaries. Nonetheless, listeners are left with many questions unanswered: How did populists seize the GOP in 2016? What should replace primaries for candidate selection? What will go down in 2028? Will Yuval Levin be on the ticket? Here to put an end to all speculation is political scientist Seth Masket, who joins Jonah to talk about the Tea Party, Donald Trump's charisma, Bill Clinton as a precursor to Trump, primaries, county-scale politics, party leadership, democratization, conventions, Trump's influence over 2028, the next GOP presidential candidate, J.D. President Trump will address the nation Thursday night and initial reports are this will be a scathing takedown of election interference and rigging of the 2020 election. Of course, conservative believers everywhere think this will be the game changer that puts people in prison, changes our election laws forever and leads to a GOP supermajority. I say don't get your hopes up for any of that. You'd better show me something first. US forces pounded Iran for the third day in a row, this time 5 hours of relentless bombing of "maritime assets" near the Strait of Hormuz. Birthright citizenship has been part of the U.S. Constitution for more than 150 years, but why has it become the focus of such intense political debate in recent years? Professor Anna Law breaks down the Supreme Court's decision in Trump v. Barbara, explains what birthright citizenship actually means, and traces the long history of who gets to be an American. Drawing from her new book, she separates fact from fiction on immigration, citizenship, and the Constitution, and explains why understanding that history matters today. This exploration of Genesis 25 challenges us to examine what we're trading for temporary satisfaction. The story of Jacob and Esau reveals deep seeded human nature: we often exchange eternal promises for immediate gratification, just as Esau traded his birthright for a bowl of stew. The narrative shows us two troubling patterns we can fall into—either becoming like Jacob, manipulating and deceiving our way toward God's promises instead of trusting His timing, or like Esau, despising our spiritual inheritance because we're too focused on meeting our immediate needs. The message confronts our modern obsession with instant gratification, where everything must be microwaveable and immediate. Yet God's promises require patience, faith, and trust. Isaac waited twenty years for the promise of children, while Esau couldn't wait twenty minutes for food. This contrast reveals the heart of our spiritual struggle: will we seek first God's kingdom and righteousness, allowing all other things to be added, or will we chase after the added things and lose both the promise and lasting satisfaction? 6/26 6/26Join us for service live every Sunday at 10am at 5600 Route 34 | Oswego, IL 60543. The Supreme Court just upheld birthright citizenship, striking down Trump's executive order in a 6-3 ruling that leans directly on a case 130 years in the making. We're re-releasing our deep dive into Wong Kim Ark — the Chinese American son of immigrants who won this exact fight at the Supreme Court in 1898 — because Chief Justice Roberts built this week's decision on Wong's story, by name. In this episode: the history of the 14th Amendment, the Chinese Exclusion Act, Julia Lynch's 1844 citizenship case, and how "subject to the jurisdiction thereof" has been the most contested phrase in American immigration law for over a century. Plus a new opening and closing segment breaking down this week's ruling, the rejected "domicile" argument, and why the fight isn't actually over. Birthright citizenship. The 14th Amendment. American identity. Immigration history. All still unfinished business. Show Notes Episode Summary Originally released in 2025, this episode traces the legal and racial history of birthright citizenship in America — from the Naturalization Act of 1790 through Wong Kim Ark (1898), Lynch v. Clarke (1844), and Trump's January 2025 executive order. This re-release adds new bookend segments covering the Supreme Court's June 30, 2026 ruling in Trump v. Barbara, which upheld birthright citizenship 6-3. What's New in This Re-Release Breakdown of the Supreme Court's ruling and Chief Justice Roberts' majority opinion Why the administration's "domicile" argument failed Fact-check: can Congress end birthright citizenship by passing a law? (No — here's why) What comes next for immigration policy after this ruling Topics Covered The 14th Amendment's Citizenship Clause United States v. Wong Kim Ark (1898) Lynch v. In a world where the Supreme Court's recent decision on birthright citizenship has left many feeling anxious and uncertain, a leading expert sheds light on the complexities of immigration policy and offers practical solutions to address the issue. This episode of the Carl Jackson Show delves into the intricacies of immigration law and the need for a more effective approach to enforcing our nation's borders. The conversation centers around the idea that simply arresting and deporting the "worst of the worst" is not enough to curb the problem of illegal immigration. Mark Grecooran, a renowned expert from the Center for Immigration Studies, joins the show to discuss the importance of targeting the root of the issue: the employers who hire and exploit undocumented workers. He explains that by implementing "briefcase enforcement," which involves auditing businesses and verifying the immigration status of employees, we can effectively reduce the number of people living in the country without proper documentation. The discussion also touches on the issue of birth tourism, where foreign nationals travel to the United States solely to give birth and claim citizenship for their children. Mark highlights the need for the State Department to crack down on this practice by adding a pregnancy question to visa forms and changing the rules for visa officers. He also emphasizes the importance of the IRS getting involved by requiring tax returns from US citizens living abroad. If you're concerned about the state of our immigration system and want to understand the complexities of this issue, tune in to this episode of the Carl Jackson Show to hear Mark Grecooran's insightful analysis and practical solutions. In this Listener Q&A episode of The Wright Report, Bryan breaks down the Supreme Court's 6-to-3 ruling striking down Trump's birthright citizenship executive order, walking through Justice Thomas's sweeping dissent, Justice Kavanaugh's narrow path forward, and a full menu of options from new legislation to a Convention of States to what Bryan calls the Bukele Options. Bryan then turns to the bigger picture, laying out a blunt assessment of what a future Democrat presidency means for open borders, deportations, and the survival of the Republic, and why he says the time to make a plan is right now, not in two or ten years. Listener questions drive the rest of the episode, covering the Supreme Court's transgender sports ruling, the Communist Control Act of 1954, how conservatives can get into local races despite imperfect pasts, and whether young men can be the generation that turns the tide against Marxism in America. Plus, good news for rural America as Trump invests $500M to keep small meatpackers competitive, a South Dakota storm that took down 20 wind turbines exposes the fragility of green energy, and German researchers announce a promising compound that may slow the progression of Huntington's Disease. After the Supreme Court upheld the Constitution's guarantee of birthright citizenship, Trump and MAGA lost it. Trump threatened to get Congress to end the guarantee, which he can't do, and he lamely claimed it was a “WIN” for China: The sheer haplessness of his response hinted at how disoriented the ruling left him. But MAGA exploded: One personality called on the masses to “use whatever force is necessary” to repel “invaders,” a clear threat of violence. Another one, flagged by Media Matters, accused the liberal justices of wanting to “burn the country to the ground” and suggested “men of action” must stop them, also a dark, veiled threat. And Stephen Miller absurdly described the ruling as “national self-obliteration,” which would seem to justify anything in response. We talked to Raul Pinto, deputy legal director of the American Immigration Council. We discuss why the ruling was too close for comfort, how that's inviting MAGA to wage a longer war to overturn birthright citizenship, how that might unfold, and why there's cause for cautious optimism about what's next. In part one of Red Eye Radio with Gary McNamara and Eric Harley, in a major landmark ruling on Tuesday, the Supreme Court struck down President Trump's executive order attempting to end birthright citizenship, ruling 6–3 that children born on U.S. soil to undocumented or temporary immigrant parents are automatic American citizens. In the case Trump v. Barbara, Chief Justice John Roberts wrote the majority opinion, firmly establishing that the Citizenship Clause of the 14th Amendment means exactly what it says and protects the citizenship status of anyone born in the country. Also defining a domicile / Democrats need to embrace equal treatment with SCOTUS ruling / the gross misinterpretation of Title IX / the media shields themselves from SCOTUS opinions / the court's opinion on campaign financing / and pushing the envelope on free speech. The U.S. and Iran are set to meet in Qatar today after a weekend of trading fire that strained their fragile ceasefire, though the two sides can't even agree on whether the meeting is happening, while in Lebanon a deal meant to end the fighting is drawing fierce backlash from people who say their government sold them out. It's the last day of the Supreme Court's term, with a long-awaited ruling on birthright citizenship that could decide whether every child born on U.S. soil is automatically an American citizen, a major test of the 14th Amendment and President Trump's immigration agenda. And it's primary day in Colorado, where the races offer clues about the national mood with a democratic socialist on the rise, a fight for Latino votes, and rural voters who feel left behind by Washington.Want more analysis of the most important news of the day, plus a little fun? Live by the SCOTUS, die by the SCOTUS. On the same day it upheld keeping men out of women's sports, the Supreme Court issued a huge letdown decision on birthright citizenship. But this is a no-blackpilling show, so the team asks: What can conservatives do to contain the damage and work toward a country with sane citizenship laws? Sen. Rick Scott and Mike Davis have some ideas. Former DOJ Chief of Staff Chad Mizelle explains the decision itself.
