When you come from a lineage of Athletes it tends to become a lifestyle in other aspects of life. This week we have been blessed by Emanuel McPhearson (@emac_1) ,who has siblings who have performed at a high level. Even so, having a little brother playing in Super Bowl LVII. To Karath, blood has nothing to to with the bond, love, and relationship he has with her. We see these tremendous athletes bless pro sports with their amazing talents every day. They are amazing fathers and raise their kids who sometimes aspire to play the sport they love. But what happens when their child doesn't amount to the level of talent they posses/possessed? As fans we always wonder why their child didn't become great since they have all the tools necessary to achieve greatness. Tap in!
Do men really show off their parenting skills when their lady is around? Or do we become kind of the yes men to keep the peace in the housed bottle it up? Generally speaking we show how much of a parent we are when our lady leaves the house leaving us and our child at home. Men find out more about themselves as a parent when they are taking this storm head on versus when we are working cohesively as a team to parent.
Why isn't therapy an option for men? Who does the boss lean on when everyone leans on the boss? Therapy does not mean nor show a sign of weakness within men. Why won't we go? Boog, found a way and decided it was time because he wanted to improve for his family but most importantly HIMSELF. Being vulnerable isn't an easy thing to do for men. Maybe Boog's story may change the minds of men to encourage help when needed.
Oh I am sure he was just an angel... The first statement from the parents of mass shooters is " well we had know idea" or " he wouldn't hurt anyone" . Turns out those parents obviously may not know their child as well as they once thought. Our question to you is, do you really pay attention to the signs? Or do you claim to know your child as well as you ?
Of course we are fully responsible for our kids, but what about when your partner as other children from a different man? Technically you are only responsible for your child alone, however is it morally correct to forget about the others. Children are innocent people who always deserve to be taken care of. LISTEN UP!
With various outlets that we are exposed to as parents could be a gift and a curse. From social media outlets to books, we may sometimes tend to follow instead of lead. Some may see it as beneficial as they can learn from those before them who choose to tell their story. Experience is the greatest teacher in life and we should trust our natural abilities before we learn from another point of view..... TAP IN!
