What's up, dudes? Red Skelton wasn't just Father Time! He had many characters. Sean Sotka from the Christmas Podcasts Podcast and I talk one of Red's most beloved in “Freddy the Freeloader's Christmas Dinner!” Yes, the lovable clown spreads Christmas cheer!Freddie the Freeloader returns a rich lady's runaway dog. He's excited because he saved enough money to enjoy a Christmas dinner with his equally poverty-stricken friend Professor Humperdo at one of New York's fancy restaurants. After running into Molly, he gives her some money to help her celebrate Christmas.Along the way, he visits a hospital and entertains some sick children. They're enthralled by his pantomime and magic routines. Subsequently, he proceeds to the police station to spring the Professor from the drunk tank. At the restaurant, they realize they've given all their money away. Luckily, the rich lady with the dog sees them and pays for their dinner.Sick children? Check. Street urchins? Got ‘em. https://theresourcenexus.com/nba-aging-stars-2026/For years, we assumed NBA stars would age the same way they always have. Slower. Less effective. Eventually replaced. But as we approach twenty twenty-six, that assumption no longer holds. In this episode, I break down the most unusual aging cycle the league has seen since the nineteen nineties — why players like Stephen Curry, Kevin Durant, and LeBron James are still driving winning deep into their thirties and forties, and why others have finally hit the wall.Using real production, efficiency, and player efficiency rating — P E R — we sort today's veterans into three groups: the untouched, the survivors, and those where Father Time has officially arrived. This isn't nostalgia. It's about skill density, processing speed, and why modern stars have lasted longer than any generation since Michael Jordan's era.If you're interested in NBA analytics, aging curves, roster construction, and what the league will look like over the next few seasons, this episode puts the data into context — without the hot takes.#NBA#NBAPodcast#NBAAnalytics#StephenCurry#LeBronJames#KevinDurant#NBALegends#BasketballBreakdown#NBAHistory#NBATalk#BasketballPodcast#NBATwitter#NBAStats#FatherTime

0:00 - Where is Bo Nix is his development? Sean Payton used the Half Marathon he ran (while suspended from the NFL) to explain how far Bo has come.15:35 - Let's run through all the biggest stories from the sports weekend. Everything from Fernando Mendoza winning the Heisman to Philip Rivers challenging Father Time. 32:46 - Mile High was ROCKIN yesterday during the Broncos vs Packers game. That building was loud. Home field advantage is a big deal for the Broncos. It really helps. That's why it's incredibly important for the Broncos to secure the 1 seed in the AFC. The Road to the Super Bowl needs to run through Mile High.
Common Man Hour 2 -- 5 Questions, Common grades the Hughes trade, Common lists the two people that beat Father Time.
Last week, Sean Payton said of RJ Harvey, "You haven't seen anything yet." Harvey went on to have a productive game against the Raiders, but can he be that guy the rest of the season? Has Pat Bryant surpassed Troy Franklin as the Broncos No. 2 wide receiver? Some surprising news yesterday, as the Colts are going to work out retired QB Philip Rivers. Does the 44-year old Rivers have any shot at actually playing this season after being out of the league for the last four years? Plus, more thoughts on Notre Dame not being included in the College Football Playoff. Catch a Tuesday version of Hot Takes with Eric Goodman and Bruce Haertl! Send us a textTwo drinks in, zero pretense, and a sleigh full of hot takes. We crack open Disney's Santa Clause trilogy with a Jolly Holly in hand and ask the only question that matters on a cozy movie night: what still feels like Christmas and what just feels loud?We start by deconstructing the Be Our Guest Jolly Holly—vanilla vodka, dark rum, butterscotch, apple cider—and troubleshoot the flavor until it actually tastes like December. From there, we track how a perfect premise in 1994 turned into a broader sitcom romp in Part Two and a glossy, time-twisting spectacle in Part Three. The core throughline still works: Tim Allen's gruff charm, Charlie's unwavering belief, and a North Pole that, at its best, feels lived-in rather than plastic. We dig into what the movies added to holiday lore—the council of Mother Nature, Tooth Fairy, Sandman, Father Time, Cupid, Easter Bunny, and Jack Frost—and why small character choices (Bernard's clipped authority, Judy's cocoa wisdom, Neil's deadpan evolution) make these films rewatchable. Not everything lands. The second film's angst and toy-factory coup wobble, and the third turns sparkle up to eleven without the heart to match, even with Martin Short chewing frozen scenery. Still, we find bright spots, including Lucy's sweetness and a few well-placed gags about contracts, HR, and the hazards of magical fine print. We even wander into park talk: for a studio that loves seasonal overlays, why isn't this franchise celebrated at Christmas? Picture a Judy-approved cocoa stand, a “Santa clause” contract gag wall, or a quick-hit workshop walkthrough that turns nostalgia into a warm, shareable moment.Grab your mug and queue the first film; keep the second for myth-building fun; let the third play while you wrap gifts. If you enjoy the ride, subscribe, leave a quick review, and tell us your trilogy ranking and your pick for best elf. Your turn: classic, guilty pleasure, or background noise?

Age is just a number. Joe and Hollywood discuss how today's veteran athletes continue to defy Father Time — from LeBron James and Steph Curry still leading championship teams, to Sidney Crosby and Brad Marchand dominating on the ice, and even Joe Flacco and Aaron Rodgers proving they can still get it done in the NFL. The guys break down what's allowing these 35+ stars to stay elite and how sports performance has changed with age.

The West is wide open—and bigger than ever. In this episode, we break down the “Everything Is Bigger” tier, where all three Texas teams have leveled up. How far can Luka's Mavs, Wemby's Spurs, and Jalen Green's Rockets really go? Then we stamp the passports and talk the “Passport Bros Tier,” headlined by Jokic and Shai—two foreign superstars trying to build dynasty-level résumés with the Nuggets and Thunder. Next, we dive into the “Geographically Challenged Tier”—the Minnesota Timberwolves, who've made two straight WCF trips. Can their youth push them over the top? Are we truly sold on Zion and the Pelicans, and can Ja Morant stay on the floor long enough to matter for the Grizzlies? From there, we take a budget flight on the Jet2Holiday Tier with the Suns, Blazers, and Jazz, where chaos and uncertainty live. And finally, the California Collapse Tier: The glow has faded. The Kings are losing hope, the Lakers are still asking if Father Time can't guard LeBron, and are the Clippers or Warriors even worth trusting until the playoffs?
The top three athletes being talked about on ESPN today are Joe Flacco, Aaron Rodgers, and Max Scherzer. What happened to the days when you knew every baseball manager? If Max Scherzer wasn't a pitcher, he'd be a serial killer. And finally, Stugotz and Taylor talk about the Thursday Night Football game where Joe Flacco led the Bengals to a victory over the Steelers. Ep. 927 - Lost the game. Lost James Conner. The Cardinals did not enjoy their weekend in the Bay Area. Craig Grialou and Paul Calvisi try and make sense of what happened on Sunday, a 16-15 loss to a 49ers team minus its starting quarterback, No. 1 wide receiver and tight end plus played without its best pass rusher for the final three quarters. There are a lot of concerns with the offense, from an inconsistent run game to inexplicable drops in the pass game. And now Conner is reportedly lost for the season? Ouch. The defense, meanwhile, did its part. Mack Wilson Sr., who earned Paul's weekly Angry Bird Award, may have played his best game; Calais Campbell is defying Father Time; and Rabbit Taylor-Demerson recorded his first career interception.See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
