From Here to There is a story of God journeys. Jesus works through individual lives to shape history toward His desired destiny. I want to connect with you on a personal level, sharing lessons I have learned while following God and moving from powerless
As I have shared my story one of the most important themes of my life and ministry has been learning to hear and follow the Spirit of God. Becoming “responsive to and controlled by" the Holy Spirit is Amplified version's definition of being spiritual. It takes great desire and great discipline to train ourselves spiritually but it is truly the key to fulfilling God's call and marking our place in history.
We continue sharing about the worship revival that is filling the earth in our day. It has been said that this last great move of God will come on the shoulders of sanctified men and women and on the wings of praise and worship. Join me today for more history of the role of worship in the 1900's outpouring and how it is filling nations as believers see more of Jesus.
Worship is one of the themes that has framed my life. From simple beginnings of personal renewal to seeing entire congregations transformed, I am convinced that we are living in the greatest outpouring of all time. It has been said that this last great move of God will come on the shoulders of sanctified men and women and on the wings of praise and worship. Join me today for my personal experiences as well as a short history of music and its role in worship and in revival.
God had a good and holy purpose for marriage in the beginning. While the curse and fall have damaged that purpose, we are living in the days of the revealing of the sons and daughters of God. He plans for our marriages to be POWER UNIONS that not only raise up godly offspring but also release GLORY in the areas of influence He has given us. Today we talk about what is possible with His focus and anointing in our time as power couples.
Did you know that trying to help can sometimes hurt? Today we are going to talk about investing our money and our time into the work of God in nations. True partnership is based on trust and results depend upon our motives. As leaders we want to insure that we are building as wisely as we can into the lives of others in order to have fruit that remains.
God sent Jesus as a Seed to begin a movement that continues to this day. We are in a strategic time globally, and the Church is rising, one believer at a time, to shine in the darkness. You are either spending or investing your life. Let us focus upon fruit that is eternal and build in the lives of others. This is what goes forward into the future.
God has a plan to fill the earth with His goodness. He works in every generation in this dimension we call time. Just like the word became flesh in Jesus, God's word is still becoming flesh as individuals receive it and believe it. We become part of the symphony of the ages – God's movement of love towards the world. This week I am going to inspire you with the story of Nepal's church.
Now faith is the turning of dreams into deeds. It is betting your life on unseen realities. Everything God is able to do through us here on earth is by faith. And faith is the process of a dream becoming a reality or a word becoming flesh. When faith is full grown it requires action. This week I share about when we first made the commitment to go to Nepal and start the Bible School. This is the point of no return.
When we are sold out to Jesus He is going to maximize our life for His glory. He is the orchestrator or the architect of the Plan and you have an important place in it. The Bible says that when we are faithful with a little God will entrust us with more. This is what took place as God began to supernaturally move me towards Nepal. In this episode I share this process of God's dream becoming reality - for such a time as this.
We all experience loss and betrayal in our life and ministry. Jesus told us we would have tribulation or pressing in this life. However, these things can either strengthen us or shipwreck us. How we respond to opposition and adversity will determine the spiritual outcome. In this episode I share an example from my life and how the Lord helped me through it.
God is always ready to pour out His Spirit and revive His Church. Throughout history there have been special times of refreshing that have brought new life and vision to the Church. I have experienced these times and they are characterized by unity and honor. It is vital to be connected in order to receive from those who go ahead of us and to steward heavenly vision for those we are leading. This week we talk about revival in the Church, God's outpouring upon groups of people who share one heart.
There are times when God is doing something very strategic and special amongst certain groups of committed disciples. We experienced such a time in the Philippines in 2005. God was speaking and moving and positioning all of us for what He was preparing for us. This week I share a clip of the teaching and prayer that launched many of us into the future and made a way for the things that are taking place today.
There are times in our lives where it is very important to be at the right place in order for God's plan to unfold. This is why it is so important to learn how to be led by the Spirit of God. Jesus promised us that He would show us things to come and guide us on the inside. I almost missed a very important door to my future, and I share this week about things I learned in that journey.
There is power in a commitment. Many believers are wanting to know God's call for their life but they cannot even commit to go to church on a regular basis. Commitment connects us to the purposes of God. We cannot move forward without taking a step and most of our spiritual growth takes place in the context of the local church. Today I will share how God partners with us in our commitment and leads us as we put our trust in Him.
Our journey with God is like a river. It will have fast times and slow times, turns and bends. Learning to follow often involves mistakes or mis-steps. God is so patient with us. He wants us to trust Him and to know the way. He wants us to want His will, but He will never force us. Our decisions determine our direction and our direction determines our destiny. In this episode I share some keys to hearing and prospering in the will of God.
If you are a woman leader you face obstacles: in the world and sadly in the Church. You face the historical and deep-rooted belief that women are not to hold positions of authority or even speak. We who have been personally called by God know that this cannot be the truth. The Bible and the life of Jesus tell us a different story. So today I share the Word to encourage you to stand in the position God has given you.
Whether you realize it or not, we all face cultural adjustments every day. It may be felt as we work with different personalities, or adjust to becoming one with a spouse. It affects us today as we endeavor to understand and work together as different generations. But there is nothing that will bring it to the forefront more quickly than living in another nation. Today we are going to learn about cultural differences and how God wants them to make us full and strong, not angry and weak. If you are unwilling to bend, you just might break.
As we are faithful to pursue God, He will surely work in us. He is working to bring increase: increase in us personally and increase through us to build His kingdom here on earth. If we are seeking Him we will not remain the same. Just like in the Parable of the Talents, when we are faithful with a little, He will give us charge of more. In the new level there will be an outworking of what He has built in you. It will not always be comfortable, but it will be exciting!
God has prepared you for what He is preparing for you. But it doesn't always look like how you thought it would when you take that leap of faith. How do we stay rooted and stable when everything around us is new and unfamiliar? Thank God that His grace is with us for the call. Our faith is tested and our motives purified with the challenges of a new level. God is preparing us for what He has prepared for us.
There are many ways God speaks to us to direct us in our calling and purpose. In this episode I share how I received my call to the nations and the process of making that initial transition. There is a combination of dread and excitement as we walk into new things God has prepared for us. But we are not alone on the journey as Jesus walks with us and, the Holy Spirit guides and works in us.
God has a calling for you that is a part of His big plan. The Bible says that Jeremiah was called before birth as a prophet to the nations. God wants to lead you into your purpose and is all the time preparing you for what He has prepared for you. But as we follow Him, there will be seasons and times of transition. These are not comfortable times but if we understand them we can move gracefully into the new things God has ahead for us.
God will always respond to a hunger for more. Church history shows us that the Holy Spirit is continually moving and bringing forth new things. There is a difference between the well of new life within us, and the river of the Spirit flowing out of us. Find out what this has to do with popcorn and how it can affect your future in this episode.
God is more concerned with who we are than what we do. He wants us to become like Jesus, and is working in us toward that purpose. He can only do through us what He first does in us. Today we will talk about the process we go through in order to develop our character so it can support our calling. It is so vital that we allow God to work in us and not quit, even when it gets difficult. The benefits far outweigh the pain of growing into Christ, and the great rewards of obedience are waiting for us.
God hasn't created us to do life alone. Even He Himself is not alone, but Three in One. As members of the Body of Christ, our journey is connected to the life journeys of others. Some relationships are only for a time, while others are lifelong. The people you are running with have a great deal to do with your destiny. And you are not just here for yourself but to add your gifts and grace to the lives of others.
Each of us has a particular calling or destiny. God created us on purpose and for His purpose. He sent Jesus to restore us to His purpose. He wants us to know Him and what He has called us to do and be. But what do our choices and decisions have to do with this calling? My life drastically changed one day, and I am going to share how a new calling dropped into my heart, a calling to the nations. God has many ways and He is leading us to a high calling if we can only learn to follow.
Who do you have in life to depend upon? If we live long enough we find that people and things let us down. Jesus is a sure foundation for our lives and He wants to be the One we depend upon. This week we talk about kicking out the props in our lives and how to let Jesus work in us to unveil all He has created us to be.
Most of us have things in the past we wish we could forget. Those things can become heavy baggage that drag us down and color our view of ourselves. People try many things to get free from these weights. In this episode we look back and then we look up at the One who has been with us from the very beginning. He is working in your life to free you from your past as He did in mine. Jesus is the Difference Maker. From Here to There is a story of God journeys. Every one of us desires purpose. What will they write about you in your obituary? Are you simply a mother, a teacher, an electrician, a nurse? God has a higher plan for you than just a vocation. He has a destiny for you. In this opening episode I share my story and how God can make your story beautiful in His timing.A passion for the Word of God and His Presence are characteristics of the ministry of Toni Haskell. Moving from the nest to the nations, she headed for the Philippines with her youngest son, to step into what has now become a lifetime mission. As a widow and a single mom, she has overcome obstacles and learned how to follow the voice of the Holy Spirit into God adventures. Her desire for God's plan to be established on the earth has caused her to boldly step into pursuits that are out of the ordinary, and her ministry inspires others to take their places in His end-time plan.
