On Wednesday, the President reacted to news that U.S. economic growth slowed in the first quarter of this year, according to the Commerce Department. The data shows the U.S. economy contracted over the course of a few months, with Q1 gross domestic product (GDP) shrinking by 0.3 percent. FOX Business' The Big Money Show co-anchor Taylor Riggs says while this quarter of economic decline is a negative consequence of the President's tariff plans, it is not all bad news for America's economy. Riggs joins the Rundown to explain what falling GDP means, the emphasis on patience with the Trump economic agenda, and the trade deals to come. New York State Governor Kathy Hochul (D-NY) is expected to sign legislation banning cell phone use from "bell-to-bell" starting next school year. New York will join eight states implementing such restrictions on phone use in the classroom. Florida State Representative Demi Busatta (R-Coral Gables) joins to explain how the banning of phones in schools could bring about developmental and educational benefits for students and why she is advocating for tighter phone-use restrictions in the Sunshine State. She turned herself, and saith unto him, Rabboni; which is to say, Master. Jesus saith unto her, Touch me not; for I am not yet ascended to my Father: but go to my brethren, and say unto them, I ascend unto my Father, and your Father; and to my God, and your God. “It is being revealed in Exodus and John how we can step into this month of Iyar realizing God is our Father who provides and Jesus made the way!Start the Month of Iyar with a copy of Dr Candice new book “365 Prophetic Revelations from Hebrew Calender”- go to www.Candice Smithyman.comhttps://amzn.to/4aQYoR0Learn to live in SuperAbundance- Join DREAM MENTORS and BECOME A CERTIFIED COACH!Do you want to be trained as good disciples or biblical life coach ? He serves farms, hobbyists, and boarding facilities across Dane County and beyond. He says he puts a lot of miles on in the spring because horses and their owners are in a key transition period. Dr. Ketover gives horse owners some critical advice on how to best care for their animals this time of year. We look forward to catching up with him and other equine experts again at the Midwest Horse Fair April 11-13 at the Alliant Energy Center in Madison. Snow's still in the forecast for this week! It's a wonderful time to be alive, as long as you can afford food. Knowing what the future holds will help too. Cue up the special forces and get ready for big changes. The Trump Harris debate takes center stage. Their backup plan is insane. Trump will be locked up to spark a civil war. There's going to be another debate. Lots of court cases are happening. Depositions are ongoing. Doing things for good will keep you elevated. It only works if you are honorable. Retarded means thinking backwards. Trump's circles are tightened. Some groups don't know each other. Enemies are wrapped around his ankles. The people from within can hurt you the most. Some trains have already passed us by. Fake news is propaganda. Qatar owns much of our media by the way. Check Hunter's laptop. The Serbian's gave a highway to Biden. So many countries used spies against Trump. The color revolution in Ukraine included a rigged election. Those same people were at J6. On November 5th, there will be a simulation ransom attack. The debate could have been better for DJT, but it doesn't matter. It's the people that have to take the country back.

Being a parent is all about transitions. You become a master of one season of life and then it all changes and you need to adjust to the next. In this episode, Elizabeth talks with Julie Swafford about a parent's perspective during this college transition time. While this can be a sad time for parents, it is also a time filled with joy as you have set your child up for their future life. Tune in to hear about how to say goodbye to your child when setting up their dorm, how to have a positive mindset when you have an empty nest, and how to let your child choose the future that is right for them. Julie Swafford is a parent with one daughter in college and one on the way. She is also the client care coordinator at Elizabeth West Consulting (EWC). 3 ways to embrace your child's transition to college include: Choice. Ultimately, your child needs to choose their college. As much as you might love one school for your child, they have to choose their own future. Empty nest. You need to feel the heaviness of your child leaving and this is normal. At the same time, shift your mindset and love who your child has become. Embrace the joy of having raised a successful young adult heading off into the world. Less Contact. Don't be worried if you haven't heard from your child when they are in college. If they are not reaching out to you several times a day, that means they are adjusting well to college and you should be proud of this. You've done your parenting job well. Many East End towns and villages have adopted more stringent restrictions on gasoline-powered leaf blowers in recent years and in some cases outright bans seasonally or year round. Noise pollution, air pollution and greenhouse gas emissions are among the concerns that advocates for the bans raise, while members of the landscaping industry say battery-powered blowers are inadequate replacements and more time is needed for a transition. Joining our editors to discuss the merits of the arguments over leaf blowers are Ivan Roman, the owner and founder of landscape design, install and maintenance company Heirloom Gardens, and Andrew Messinger, the writer of the Hampton Gardener column for more than four decades.

Transitions can be super tricky for your ADHD brain sometimes! Between being pulled out of a hyperfocus, being asked to use that "flexible thinking" executive function skill, and the emotional control required to wrap your "here and now" thinking around task switching can all just feel like too much! Do you struggle with transitions too? In this episode, I introduce and ask you to practice 3 P's to make transitions more successful... Prepare a Predictable Plan! The 4th P "practice" is attached to all of our strategies! You can identify those tricky transition times, then prepare by deciding one what will come after that said desired activity. After preparing, you can make it predictible by setting a plan or structure of what will take place first, then the next expectation, task, or event. Practicing these P's will encourage self-advocacy, independence, growth mindset, structure, and overall transition success. Please send me an email katelynmabry4@gmail.com if you and/or your child would like to share part of your ADHD journey on this podcast! You can also visit my website www.katelynmabry.com for more resources or to order a copy of my children's book, "Hi, It's Me! I have ADHD"
Laurence Holmes was joined by Danny Parkins and Matt Spiegel for transition, where they discussed the Bulls' big win against the Raptors on Monday, their matchup against the Bucks on Tuesday and LeBron James' huge dunk on his buddy Kevin Love. And of course, there was another Spiegel joke.
Time to talk about a nasty habit that many of us have scummed to… Doomscrolling… a common habit of scrolling on social media, which could contribute to unintentionally looking for negativity. In this episode, we speak about how to avoid this nasty phenomenon and ways to use social media constructively for our businesses! 1. Contribute by posting on social media before you scroll and consume. It is easy enough to jump on social media and start consuming but as a business, you need to show up and contribute at a regular cadence. Your cadence could be once a week, once a day, or 2 times a day. Regardless of the cadence, you need to keep up with it, to ensure your audience and the algorithms know that you're still around as a participant. Attempt to create a habit where you only consume when you post. Engage with the content you are seeing, so you are consuming the content with intention. Your attention is the most valuable resource and when you engage with the content, you not only make a real connection with another person, but you're also telling the algorithm that you like that type of content and the algorithm will then present similar content and perhaps more opportunity to make real connections.2. Schedule the time you will engage with social media and using the tips above, ensure you are actively engaging when you do jump on social media. If you can create a schedule to post, then create “social media engagement time” before and after the created content has been posted. This will help keep your account active around posting time.3. Remove the social media apps from your phone's Home Screen. If clicking on the social media app has become a compulsion, then you should consider removing the apps from your home screen or deleting them from your phone and only using the desktop version.4. Find an app that will put a time control on your usage. I know it can become difficult to stop the compulsion of scrolling and if you find yourself going over the time allotted to social media engagement, then a time-limiting app for social media might be your answer.5. Replace your scrolling habit with another activity that will give you the same level of “downtime” or “transition time”. Consider journaling or reading as a replacement for social media scrolling. The activity you select should be something that will uplift you and provide you with positive energy!Take one or two or all of these tips and apply them to your own situation to ensure you're not succumbing to Doomscrolling! God has a calling for you that is a part of His big plan. The Bible says that Jeremiah was called before birth as a prophet to the nations. God wants to lead you into your purpose and is all the time preparing you for what He has prepared for you. But as we follow Him, there will be seasons and times of transition. These are not comfortable times but if we understand them we can move gracefully into the new things God has ahead for us.
Hooo boy, what a past couple of weeks. Tulsa football got into a massive brawl with Mississippi State after a bowl loss, Tulsa basketball beat a top-five team for the first time since the 90s and beat Cincinnati on the road for the first time since the 60s, and the American continued its storied tradition of being awful in bowl season. We talk about all of that, crown our players of the year and discuss how our preseason breakout players actually did, and plenty more. Near the end, we discuss a pretty significant change in the format of our future episodes. Let us know what you think! --- Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/thegoldenhurricast/support
