 The month of April brought us a dry early planting window in West Central Illinois but also cool temperatures. Today, we're talking with our Golden Harvest Agronomist Brad Koch about what what he's seeing as far as crop conditions, agronomic issues that need to be front of mind right now, and how the week ahead is critical for corn replant decisions.

In this episode we're discussing Inflation, Interest Rates and how it affects you. Our guest is Aaron Leary, a loan officer at Compeer Financial here in Monmouth. We recorded this conversation on September 23rd, 2022, shortly after the Federal Reserve announced that they would be raising interest rates. During these economic times that we are witnessing, we wanted to get Aaron's perspective on what is causing inflation and how rising interest rates affect the housing market, and farmers who are carrying debt or are considering new loans.

This episode was recorded the week of August 22nd, 2022, and as we approach the end of August our agronomists are fielding calls about soybean disease symptoms that are occurring. In this episode we discuss Sudden Death Syndrome, but also other diseases that look similar. For corn, we address how this August weather will affect yields and touch on what corn diseases are present. 

In today's conversation, Justin is joined by Doug Toepper, District Manager for West Central Illinois for Golden Harvest. Doug joins us in-person in the studio to discuss some details on GHX, the Golden Harvest Experience and how it changes the way seed is sold.
