Greg and Faith Pope share their story and experience of raising a son and daughter, who are black in todays culture and church. 

David and Jayne Gaddy share their story of adopting two amazing children after they raise two of their very own. They are no longer children but two amazing teenagers now. What an example of the grace and mercy of God that is shown and seen through adoption. 

Josh and Samantha Broccolo, share what it is like parenting  three young children! Each child has a unique personality and temperament requiring an individual approach.  Lets parent each child as they are uniquely made in God's image.

Scott Smith shares his heart for prison ministry! The New Life In Christ Prison Ministry leads hundreds of men and women in prison through correspondence Bible studies, sharing God's love and truth with them. Our team mails individual lessons to inmates, those who have requested lessons complete it and mail it back to AOC. Each letter gets personal attention from a dedicated team member who writes comments and prayers on the lesson, returning the completed work along with the next lesson. Over 170 men and women declared faith in Jesus Christ through this ministry in 2018.

Bryan & Lisa Furler share with us why communication as a family is helpful for them to make much of Christ in their home. 

Emma Plunkett shares with us how she has carried her faith into college life! She graduated a few years ago and wants to make much of Christ in her life. 

A question every parent will face. When your children or teenagers don't want to go to church with you, should you force them, or give them the responsibility to make their own decision? Rebecca Palmer & Monica Scantlen share why church is such a high value for them and their families. 

Bill and Rita Davis share years of marriage wisdom with us. Much of parenting is about a marriage that is making much of Christ. 

Eric Quintana gives an overview of what the Word of God says in regards to the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Let us never assume that others know the gospel, let us preach it in all things. I want to encourage you to memorize Gospel related passages with your children and teenagers. 

Austin and Rochelle Bush share their hearts with us about how family worship has been very important for them as a family. God wants parents to take charge, and to point their children and teenagers to Christ! We need to do all we can to help them LOVE God and LOVE others. 

Christi Wilson shares her journey with us about getting the help she desperately needed. Many of us say, "we are ok" and then we realize we are broken and very much, not ok. The truth is, we need help. We also need others who know us that can and will, point us to Christ. God help us to be bold. Help us seek after You, so that we can truly be known by others. Help us to be who You made us to be!

Bob & Carolyn share how God continued to use them after retiring and raising their five children. God called them to missions and they obeyed what the Lord desired for them. 

Chris and Joan Jahng share with us about what is going on in their lives with their son. Their desire is to allow all the things in their life to be about Jesus. May we put our trust and faith in God in all things. 

Eileen & Daniel Bruen share practical ways to be intentional and personal this school year with our kids and teenagers. 

I love talking with our graduates and hearing their excitement for the next phase of life. Enjoy the conversation I had with Sydney and Jenna Wilson, two students who graduated this year and are headed off to the next phase of life.  

Ray Hansen has been a missionary in Reynosa Mexico for over 30 years. They have built from the ground up a Christian School and Childrens home. We love going and serving with them each year in Reynosa. John Wilson shares his heart for missions, why it has been a large part of his family, and encourages us to do the same.   

Pastor BJ our Executive Pastor of Next Generations and Megan Smith our Student Ministry Intern share their passion and hearts for college students. We want to make disciples of all generations and this includes the college students God brings to our church that we can raise up and launch out to serve the Kingdom of God. 

Ashton Wong and Alexander McDowell share with us their experience as high school students and their involvement in Austin Oaks Church. We are so grateful for our graduates and excited to pray for God to bless them as they seek after Christ. 

Marshall & Susanna Meringola share with us how they strive to have a marriage centered family. It can be easy to allow your children/teenagers to be the primary focus in the home.  God should be primary, then the marriage, then the children and then everyone else. Let's do all we can to love our spouse as biblically as we can. 

Jeremy and Kourtney Oliver share with us how they stay focused on being simply about Jesus as a family. Many things can keep us from the path of making much of Christ in our homes. They share their story with us and how they keep fighting to keep Christ at the center of their home. 

Peter and Rebecca Smykla share their story of the education choices they chose for their kids/teenagers and why. Many education options exist and it can be overwhelming for some to choose the best fit for their family. Taking the time to discover the values that drive your families decision will help determine the “why” behind your choice. 

Kirsten Hoffman joins us to help us understand how to speak words of truth to our children/teenagers. We have the God given ability to use words of truth to empower and build up others; to motivate and empower them to seek God's calling in their life. We value providing opportunities as a church body to guide parents to speak a blessing over those they love. We pray it will be done every day in homes all over our city.   

Molly Martin and Morgan Niermann, the small group leaders of the senior ladies small group, share how they have been blessed to be mentored by others and to mentor the next generation. Having others speak into the lives of your children and teenagers is a biblical blessing that brings great joy and fruit to the lives of those we love. 

Newton and Maggie share their life with us as they raise their 3 teenagers in a multi-generation and Asian-American home. 

Jerry & Pat James talk about their experience raising their children and now as grandparents how they love on their grandchildren.

Pastor BJ and his wife Louisa discuss what success looks like for their family and three boys. We must understand what God desires for our children not just what we desire for them.

Let's set an example to our kids/teenagers that we desire to glorify God by going to church together! May we be worthy of imitation. Grateful for Seth and Danalee McConkey sharing their hearts with us.

Mat Hames a leader and parent in our church joins us to share his life as a father husband, and Buisness owner. The need for family-work balance is critical to raising our kids/teenagers, let's not take this lightly. 

Pastor Don Read shares counseling wisdom from his decades of experience. He helps us understand more about what it looks like and the way to get the counseling help that your son or daughter needs.
