Come and see the Resurrected King! Let the earth and all of humanity rejoice: Jesus is alive again! It didn't happen the way people thought it would. They experienced disappointment, disillusionment, and hopelessness. But the Cross wasn't the end – Jesus is victorious over death! This divine reversal floods our darkness with Light – there is hope! Join us for our glorious, joy-filled Easter celebration. At Kensington, we believe that Easter has personal significance for each one of us. The Cross means God's love for you has no limits – it was an all-the-way sacrifice to bring you close and carry your sin. The Resurrection means God's power has no limits – it was a life-from-death reversal to bring you hope in life now and hope for life eternal.
Come and see the Sacrificial King. The God of the universe saw our brokenness and instead of holding it over us, He came humble, He came close. He willingly chose self-sacrifice for us! Enter into a sacred space this Good Friday: we'll follow the pattern of an ancient Hebrew "Derisha" service and use scripture and music to share Jesus' journey to the Cross and to prepare our hearts to fully celebrate Easter!
