Podcast by Living Word Church
The Living The Word Podcast is an absolute gem in the vast world of podcasts. From the moment I tuned in, I was captivated by the dynamic between hosts Ben and Dom. Their interactions are not only entertaining but also uplifting and, most importantly, biblically based. It is refreshing to find a podcast that not only provides entertainment but also stays true to Scripture.
One of the best aspects of The Living The Word Podcast is their unwavering commitment to biblical principles. With absolute confidence, listeners can trust that Ben and Dom will always stay true to Scripture in their discussions and teachings. This level of integrity is truly commendable and sets this podcast apart from others in its genre. It is a breath of fresh air to have a source for spiritual guidance that does not compromise on biblical truths.
The hosts' ability to address cultural issues that are driving the thoughts and actions of people is another highlight of this podcast. In their episode on blasphemy, they skillfully tackled a sensitive topic with grace and wisdom, providing listeners with the opportunity to course correct, repent, and be forgiven. The Living The Word Podcast offers insightful perspectives on various cultural issues without veering away from biblical principles. This unique approach allows for meaningful discussions that challenge listeners to grow spiritually.
While it's challenging to find any flaws in this podcast, one potential drawback could be the limited range of topics covered thus far. As a new listener, I would love to see them delve into a wider array of subjects in future episodes. However, considering they are just starting out, it is understandable that they may want to establish foundational teachings before branching out into other areas.
In conclusion, The Living The Word Podcast is an incredible addition to anyone's podcast lineup. Besides being entertaining and uplifting, it offers a profound sense of spiritual nourishment through its commitment to biblical teachings. It's rare to find a podcast that consistently delivers content grounded in Scripture while addressing relevant cultural issues. I am eagerly looking forward to future episodes and am confident that this podcast will continue to provide "food for the heart" for years to come.

The Bible gives us all that we need to understand Biblical womanhood. In this episode, we explore what the Bible says to women about who they are and about how important they are in God's creation. We begin by grounding the discussion in a definition of Biblical womanhood: “A Biblical woman is one whose worldview is informed and influenced by the truth of God's Word. Her existence and purpose are hidden in Christ; she lives her life unto the Lord, allowing His ways to become her ways; she's led by God's Word in all that she does.” Beyond the definition, we explore how women can practically live this out in our world, leaning into God when life brings challenges and struggles or successes and victories. In all women do, they are to work unto the Lord.
Culturally, we seem to be having difficulty defining what a woman is, even in very basic terms, and the world certainly doesn't define women based on what God has to say about the subject. In this episode, we cover what the culture says it is to be a woman and what God says it is to be a woman. We explore the tension between these perspectives and how women can navigate those realities. We discuss the innate, God-given desires women have and the pressures they feel from the world, and we focus on what the Bible says we are and how God treasures our inner beauty as His daughters.
Arguments are natural for married couples, so knowing how to communicate well and resolve conflict is very important. In this episode, we cover two principles for authentic communication: listening to understand and expressing to be understood. These will help us to fight well in our marriages. God's Word instructs us in James 1:19 to be quick to hear, slow to speak and slow to anger. We should listen more than we speak; we should listen to understand, and true listening is hard work. Also, we should express ourselves to be understood. Ephesians 4:29 instructs us in how to do this. We are to use wholesome language and edifying speech. Our words should fit the need of the moment and give grace to those who hear them. Using these principles will help us resolve conflict as well. We must avoid the negative postures of winning at all costs or total withdrawal or yielding without engagement. Instead, we use authentic communication to engage and approach in healthy biblical ways. Please see the links below for more content from LWC's pulpit ministry. God's design for marriage is good, and it is still good today, but culture says that we know better, that we can do it better. Research shows us that struggles result from man's way and that God's plan is stable and fulfilling. Where should we stand as a church? How should we respond to culture as it concerns marriage? Join us as we discuss this important issue in the first part of our two-part series called Biblical Marriage. We are joined by Pastor Scott Roten, who has been in pastoral ministry for 30 years. He is a licensed therapist who holds a Psychology degree, substance abuse therapy degree, and Masters in Counseling, and he is our Marriage Ministry leader here at Living Word Church. In this episode you will hear from Mrs. Lacee Plaisance. Lacee is the Nursery Director for LWC's children's ministry. Her heart of love and compassion for parents and kids is evident in all that she does. As with many people, she struggled with anxiety for many years until she found true freedom in Christ. May her testimony be a blessing to you and give you hope for whatever you may be walking through. Walk faithfully beloved and to God be the Glory! Matthew 6:25-34 - “Therefore I tell you, do not be anxious about your life, what you will eat or what you will drink, nor about your body, what you will put on. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothing? 26Look at the birds of the air: they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of more value than they? 27And which of you by being anxious can add a single hour to his span of life? 28And why are you anxious about clothing? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow: they neither toil nor spin, 29yet I tell you, even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these. 30But if God so clothes the grass of the field, which today is alive and tomorrow is thrown into the oven, will he not much more clothe you, O you of little faith? 31Therefore do not be anxious, saying, ‘What shall we eat?' or ‘What shall we drink?' or ‘What shall we wear?' 32For the Gentiles seek after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them all. 33But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.34“Therefore do not be anxious about tomorrow, for tomorrow will be anxious for itself. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble. Please see the links below to more content from LWC's pulpit ministry. https://www.youtube.com/c/LivingWordChurch https://www.livingwordhouma.com/

Walk faithfully beloved and to God be the Glory!
As Christians, we know that we are in the last days, and that truth should impact how we walk out our faith in Jesus Christ. The Bible is to be our guide in how we walk out lives of personal holiness and launches us out into the world around us with the Gospel. We must not run and hide! Walk faithfully beloved and to God be the Glory! Let us take heed to the Apostle Peter's teaching in this area: 2 Peter 3:11-15 - Since all these things are thus to be dissolved, what sort of people ought you to be in lives of holiness and godliness, 12waiting for and hastening the coming of the day of God, because of which the heavens will be set on fire and dissolved, and the heavenly bodies will melt as they burn! 13But according to his promise we are waiting for new heavens and a new earth in which righteousness dwells.14Therefore, beloved, since you are waiting for these, be diligent to be found by him without spot or blemish, and at peace. 15And count the patience of our Lord as salvation, just as our beloved brother Paul also wrote to you according to the wisdom given him,
Blasphemy against the Holy Spirit is mentioned in Mark 3:22–30 and Matthew 12:22–32. With this episode, Pastor Ben, and Pastor Dominick will look to God's Word to bring clarity to this subject. We encourage you to look to God's Word for all of life's questions. Walk faithfully beloved and to God be the Glory!
