A lot of us have heard the phrase “The mark of The beast” but we are not sure as to what it is, or where this reference comes from. Today, I'd like for us to continue our exploration of Daniel's dream and visions…along with the vision of John, The disciple of Jesus, who wrote the Book “Revelation”. Things aren't so scary, when you know that there is a happy ending. Well, God actually let's us in on the end of the story of man, and it ends great for those who belong to him. He also let's us know of somethings that will happen in between, that may not be so good. However, evil will not continue forever, because it too has limits that God has subjected it to. So when we allow God to be our refuge (the place where we retreat) and our fortress (the place we advance from) then we will have a front row seat to the victory He has ruled for us. My handsome hubby Stace joins me today, for this exciting topic. Scripture Memory: Psa. 91:2 I will say of the Lord, “He is my refuge and my fortress; My God, in Him I will trust.” Read My book: My Redeemer Lives, It's personal, A story of Hope for our time Watch and listen to my music More Scripture Memory videos
Sometimes what is evil can appear to be so big. The boast that it makes, can seem like a boom, and we are sometimes tempted to pullback because of fear. But in reality this “little horn”, it is nothing compared to the strength and might of God! The difference between the two is so astronomical, that one day, I think we'll look back and shake our heads saying “That's all it really was?…I was scared of that?” God has a way of granting us victory out of what looks like defeat. In the meantime, let's make our boast in the one who created the Heavens, The earth and everything within them. Today, we'll explore a vision Daniel saw…could we be living in the times predicted? My handsome Hubby Stace is back with me as we explore this topic, along with Lovafide Lovenotes. Lions are not always the creatures that we see at the zoo or on a safari. Sometimes it's the people, the system, the agendas. Have you ever been in a situation where you felt like someone was trying to throw you to the lions? I mean, the more you excelled, the more bent they were on bringing you down? Well, let's look to the scriptures and glean from the adventures of Daniel. His haters were bent on devising a plan to do him in. Let's check the record to see what God did for him, and trust that He can do the same for us. It's interesting to think that our bodies could be referred to as a Temple. I mean, aren't temples sacred places where people meet with God, worship, repent, fellowship, sacrifice, and praise? Aren't temples supposed to house the Holy? Exactly. Although we are flesh and blood, If we have received Christ into our lives…He becomes our life. We are now carrying Him on the inside, which makes us a Temple for the Holiest of Holy. When I think of it that way, I must now strongly consider what I do and how I take care of this body of mine. There are certain things that I will not consume or participate in, because I respect The God that resides on the inside; and there are Something that I will now definitely do. I am not him, but I house His Spirit and His spirit is Holy (set apart as Sacred, Like No other). Hang with me, as we dig a little deeper into the scriptures to see what God has to say about The temple. My handsome Hubby Stace is back for some fun Lovenotes and encouragement. He also helps me teach the Scripture Memory verse: 1 Corinthians 6:19a (NIV) 19 Do you not know, that your bodies are temples, of the Holy Spirit…? People are always saying “Don't judge me!” Most of the time meaning, “Don't hold me to a standard, or tell me a consequence” Lol! But there is a Judge who is always right in His standards, and He always gives grace to those who admit where they have failed and are asking for help. God is also the one who has given us gifts and talents and will hold us accountable as to how we have used them. Daniel served many Heads of State and governments with the gifts he had been given. As His role changed from time to time, as his gifts continued to matured and expanded. However, Regardless of how wicked or righteous the ruler may have been, Daniel's character of excellence and integrity remained the same. He was living up to His name which means “God is My Judge” Let's take some Lovenotes from this real life hero of old and see how we can still apply these principles to our own lives. King Neb Is filling us in on what happened that led up to his fall and rising. He has documented and published it in many languages. When The King refused to humble himself before God, he left no other option on the table but humiliation. His beauty and splendor was turned beastly. One moment he was on top and the next he was doing the unthinkable. For a period of time, He no longer recognize himself. Have you ever failed to humble yourself and fallen from a graceful place? Have you ever surprised yourself by doing what you thought you'd never would do? Have you ever slipped on a patch of humiliation? Well, listen and lean in as the same grace and mercy that was served to King Neb, is offered to us as well. There's a danger in putting our hope and trust in governments, political parties, culture, or personal expressions. All of these things have an expiration date and a weakness that is no match for the Kingdom of God. Those of us who are believers in Christ are called to be “in the world and not of it". We are temporary citizens of earth, but we are called to live in such a way that acknowledges and submits to the fact that “Heaven Rules”. God ultimately says yes or no to leaders or sovereigns. Sometimes they are seated in power as a blessing to the people and other times as a rod of discipline or judgement. But even the people who are placed in power, will someday have to bow the knee to the The King above all other kings, and the Lord above all lords. King Neb is recalling his story, to help us with ours. Lovafide Lovenotes: My Husband Stace is back again, sharing Godly wisdom and insight. He's also helping me teach our Scripture Memory. Sometimes we are tempted to count certain people out. They seem so far gone that we can't imagine them submitted to God and His will for them. But I want to encourage you, in the fact that no one is beyond the grace and redemption that Christ provides. Not even the worst among us. This week, I want to dig deeper into the life of King Neb, who's long rebellious journey has finally made a turnaround. As we look at how God's grace came to change this man's life. Let's hold on to hope for the turnaround of others we love and care about. Lovafide Lovenotes: My Hubby Stace is with us today! We all know people (who according to us), may not have gone through (what the world would deem) tough things… yet; and still they are filled with fear and despair. On the other hand, there are those that I've met who have gone through excruciating situations and somehow they appear to be free and unharmed on the inside; which overflows to the outside. What has made the difference? And is there such a shield that we can be protected by as well? Let's take a look at the scriptures and glean from a story that is still helpful and applicable to our current day situations. Scripture Memory Isaiah 43: 2b-3a "the flames will not set you ablaze.
