    Dr. Carnovale holds the rank of Assistant Professor of Supply Chain Management at the Saunders College of Business at the Rochester Institute of Technology. Prior to joining RIT, Dr. Carnovale was Nike Professor of Supply Chain Management at Portland State University. Dr. Carnovale is a supply chain strategist and econometrician specializing in inter-firm networks, risk management and global sourcing/production networks with a specific focus on equity-based partnerships.Dr. Carnovale and I discuss his transition to online learning as a professor and the challenges he has faced since the pandemic has hit. He shares his story behind deciding to get his PhD in Supply Chain Management and landing a spot as a professor at Portland State University.     Dante and I give an unfiltered, honest reflection about our time at RIT, through all the ups and downs. We explain how the ability to play soccer at the collegiate level had a substantial impact on our university decision, and how much being a part of a collegiate team can have an impact on many different aspects of our day to day lives, both positively or negatively. We discussed critical points in both of our lives during this time, from my decision to part ways with the soccer team, Dante's contemplation of choosing the right major for him, and both of us mulling transferring from the school completely. Although our initial perspective of the school was very negative, by adjusting our unrealistic expectations and making fundamental lifestyle amendments, our perspective and overall appreciation grew greatly.
