School is back in session and it's an odd start to the year for many people around the world, in some capacity. It's another episode about working! In this episode I break down the pros of working remotely, or working from home, and the pros of working in an office. This year has made many MANY people work remotely for extended periods of time, and I feel like this is the best time for the corporate world to make a major shift how they treat working remote universally. Towards the end of the episode, I lay out what I hope for the future of the corporate world, and how daily work life could be forever changed for the better. We can all agree 2020 has been a totally unique year, and for myself, this year is also my first year of marriage. I got married towards the end of 2019, and my husband and I had a lot of plans of what we wanted to do as newlyweds. Spoiler, NOTHING has gone as planned. In this episode, I discuss what we hoped to do this year, what our reality has been, and how we have made the most of the new normal. I know everything I've felt is similar to what many people are going through with their partner, no matter what phase of life you're in. I hope you take away some tips or validation if you listen to this episode! You can find me on instagram @shelbyshufflemodeMy YouTube Channel is Shelby's Shuffle Mode: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCng6Dmmm1eVhJAfdmR5YDhQ/

Fear is a word that we use a lot in many circumstances, but some of us may create additional fears of or about things that others don't have (I know I do). In this episode of Shuffle Mode, I discuss what I call "self-induced" fear. Meaning, the kind of fear that maybe you've developed in your brain that isn't a fear of fight or flight, but more so fear that is a result of anxiety, upbringing, environmental factors, etc. I tell my story about how I recently have conquered some of my self induced fears to demonstrate how maybe if you have any fears you want to conquer, you can do it too!Instagram: @shelbyshufflemodeYouTube: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCng6Dmmm1eVhJAfdmR5YDhQ/
Let's talk about money! Spending money is something we all have to do, but sometimes we can be very easily tempted to overspend and find ourselves not saving any money, and gathering credit card debt. In this episode, I give basic tips to start taking control of your finances and how to live within your means. The result of doing this? You are setting yourself up to live a more relaxing life because some financial burden will be gone. I'm back and ready to discuss something that many of us have to do in our lives: work! In today's work force, I see a lot about culture in a workplace, and see many companies doing everything to boast their company culture. This made me start to think; do many workers actually care about culture, or do they care more about benefits? I put the question out to the public, and gathered some interesting feedback from a variety of people as to why they prefer great benefits over great culture, or great culture in the workplace over great benefits.
