Welcome back, WIFs!This week, Lauren and Michelle are joined by Chicago stand up comedian Maggie Hughes DePalo for a conversation that proves laughter might just be one of the best wellness tools we have. Known for her deadpan delivery and wildly relatable observations about marriage, motherhood, aging, and everyday life, Maggie has built a devoted audience by finding humor in the moments most of us are quietly living through.Together, the sisters and Maggie dive into the absurdities of modern life. They discuss why comedy connects us, what makes everyday experiences so universally relatable, and how learning to laugh at ourselves can make life's challenges feel a little lighter. The conversation also explores Maggie's journey into stand-up comedy, her thoughts on today's culture, the comedians who inspired her, and what it's like building a career around telling the truth—just with better punchlines.Press play, get cozy, and join the conversation about finding humor in the chaos, embracing imperfection, and remembering that nobody has life completely figured out—even if it looks that way online.Because sometimes the most comforting realization is that we're all just doing our best... and hopefully laughing along the way.Guest: Maggie Hughes DePalo — Chicago stand up comedian, storyteller, and co-founder of All That Good Stuff Comedy.Resources: Maggie Hughes Depalo Tour DatesLeave Us A MessageA Cozy Night For ReadersFollow Us!Shop Our CandlesCheck Out Our WebsiteThis episode is sponsored by Let It Be Us and Chicago Private Wealth Group

What if the breakthrough you've been waiting for starts with one simple step forward? In this message from the Life Advice series, Pastor David Hughes reminds us that real change is possible because of what God has already done in our lives, freeing us, giving us a fresh start, and calling us into a new way of living. Through a compelling story from Scripture, we see how staying stuck can feel safe but leads nowhere, while getting up and moving forward opens the door to unexpected provision and purpose. This message challenges us to recognize the habits and excuses holding us back, ask honest questions about what trips us up, and build a new strategy that replaces old patterns with better ones. If you've been feeling stuck, discouraged, or ready for something different, this is a reminder to take the next step with confidence and discover the power you have to change. (06/07/2026)

Life Advice That Doesn't Suck  aka "The Subtle Art of Not Giving a F*ck" flips the self-help script. Instead of telling you to think positive and chase happiness, Mark Manson argues that life is full of problems and always will be. The goal isn't to avoid struggle. It's to pick the struggles worth having. What you choose to care about defines who you are.Manson builds his case around a simple idea: you have a limited amount of attention, and most of us waste it on things that don't matter. Social approval, comfort, status. He pushes you to get honest about your values, because bad values produce bad problems. Choose better values, and your problems become more meaningful. It's not a feel-good read. It's a reality check.Support the show

Do you feel stuck by a set back? If you don't now, you probably will at some point in life. My dad gave me the best advice when we were out trail running and I fell. I was complaining about the fall, even though I wasn't injured. But he was focused on the positive truth: “It doesn't matter that you fell; you got back up.” This has helped shape how I handle disappointments in life - whether it's a lost job opportunity or a personal set back. When something doesn't go your way, you can still find gratitude in seeing the positives in the situation. But perhaps the most important thing is to pause and pray. What does God want you to do with this disappointment? It might be to persevere and pursue the dream further. It might be to completely pivot to something new. Either way, don't stay down when you fall - get back up!Let's connect!Follow me on TikTok @givingyourbestlifeJoin me on YouTubeShop my books hereWith gratitude, Stephanie❤️

In this episode, Marli is diving deep into your made rules of self-limitation. How often do we put ourselves into a limited, comfortable, predictable box and call it... "This is just who I am." Whether you realize it or not, you have rules about what you think you can handle, what you like, and what you have decided you will or won't do and its unconsciously capping your own expansion... and therefore the life you get to live. But transformation and growth doesn't happen inside the comfort zone. It happens the moment you willingly cross it.Tune in as we explore:How to identify the invisible "identity boxes" and rules you've built around your life and business. The power of doing the exact thing you once said you never would do, and how it instantly shatters your limitations. Why getting uncomfortable is the fast track to identity expansion and unlocking the next level of your life.Marli shares her own story of stepping completely out of her own element, and the profound realization that she had on the other side. It's time to stop letting your past definitions dictate your future capacity. Who could you become if you finally dropped the rules?

In this message from the Life Advice series, Pastor Trey Hildebrant walks through Proverbs 11 to explore the powerful contrast between pride and humility and how it shapes the kind of life we are becoming. Pride pulls us inward and isolates us, while humility opens our lives outward and creates space to serve, build up, and value others. This teaching shows how true wisdom is not about self-improvement or self-promotion but about living with a heart that goes lower so others can be lifted higher. Discover how humility leads to healthier relationships, stronger character, and a fuller life rooted in wisdom that benefits everyone around us. (05/31/2026)
