A recently recovered drug addict tries to start her new lease on life, too bad life has it out for her. This dramatic comedy follows Marisol through the ups and downs of a week in her life.
I don't know if you noticed, Marisol certainly doesn't, but Nina has a rich inner life too! She has wants and needs and fears. Lots of fears. To many fears, frankly, which is why on her wedding day she wasn't exactly, um, at the wedding. Witness Small Victories Episode 207 from Nina's point of view. A Hollywood actor shadows a female Harvard professor for research on a role. When the two are presumed to be “dating” by the press, they go along with it. He to bolster his image, she to bolster her fledgling book sales. But what happens when a fake romance turns into the real thing?
Howdy everyone! This is Jade (I wrote and created and produced the show) and I wanted to tell you that I am doing writer commentaries of every Small Victories Season 2 episode over on the WGC Productions Patreon, and ever though the rest of the episodes are Patreon exclusives, the first episode gets to go out into the world like a Disney Princess in the second act of the movie. New episodes are out every Friday at 10AM EST and our Patreon is pay what you can so whether you pay $1 or $100 you will get access to the same exclusive content, because everyone deserves to be entertained. Your payments go to our operational costs as well as funding Small Victories Season 3.
This week's Audio Drama Spotlight is The Heart Pyre. The Heart Pyre is an interactive epic fantasy audio drama where listeners can help decide how Rena's journey to find out what truly happened to her home town plays out. As she finds herself the only survivor of the fire that destroyed her town, she comes to doubt the Royal Council's report that the event was simply a tragic accident. What are the authorities hiding? Is she truly the only survivor? And why are there rumours about the old Gods again? The Heart Pyre is written and produced by Audrey Martin. The intro song is Lonely Dusty Trail by Jon Presstone.
This audio drama spotlight features Visionaries, which is perfect for you if you are looking for that next high-concept fantasy show. In 2185, the world is distinguished by two races: The Dead-eyes and the Visionaries. Visionaries are the next step in human evolution. They are born with unique eyes, giving them superhuman abilities. However, some humans do not evolve. Those who don't evolve are born with ordinary eyes, also known as Dead-eyes. The disparity in power leads to the enslavement of all Dead-eyes. Listen to season one wherever you get your podcasts and follow the Dead-eye slaves' rebellion against the Visionaries.
Connor Ratliff (creator of “Dead Eyes”) stars as Gil, a low-level ad man who is fated to lose at everything. When Nadya (Jamie Ann Romero), the beautiful niece of the psychic Bella (Laila Robins), reads his tarot cards and informs him that the universe is against him, he vows to change his destiny. Cheered on by his co-worker and best friend Lex (Steven Boyer), Gil studies philosophy under Professor Towers (Chukwudi Iwuji) and faces an epic showdown with supernatural forces. “In The Cards” is produced by Next Chapter Podcasts and is made possible by the generous support of The Hitz Foundation. Visit ncpodcasts.com for more about the series.

So, things are spiraling right. Well, not spiraling. Well, yes, spiraling, but aren't things always spiraling? So, who cares if things are bad? Aren't things always bad? Little Marisol Montgomery has been channeling her inner Mother Teresa. For the past month she has not missed a single volunteering session at the food bank. Which definitely has everything to do with the fact that it's a good thing and nothing at all to do with the person she is volunteering with. Because that would be inappropriate. And Nina wouldn't like it. And that would mean the Host was right, which would be a supreme blow to the ego.Starring: Mo McKynzie as Marisol. Yodeet Nymberg as Nina. Chinna Palmer as The Stranger. Five months after Marisol was stabbed things are looking up. Well, anything that's not being dead is "looking up". She has been sober for 142 days (though the doctors did give her a lot of very strong painkillers so...there's that), she's planning a wedding (though Nina keeps moving it up because her Dad is getting worse so....that's another thing), also she's working as a private chef (and maybe getting a little too close with her clients), but hey, Aaron didn't kill her and I think we should really focus on that! That seems good. Things are good!Starring: Mo McKynzie as Marisol. Yodeet Nymberg as Nina. Chinna Palmer as The Stranger. Lolita Marie as Summer. Akanimo Effang as Host. Cody Smith as Aaron. B. This week on the Small Victories interview series we speak to the writer, creator, and producer of Small Victories, Jade Madison Scott. And by "we" I mean her. And by "her" I mean me, since I'm the one writing these things. Yeah, I guess we get a little metatextual this episode. Don't worry about it too much though. It's all part of the show's voice and P.O.V. and all those other things they teach you about in little playwrights school. I mean, it was there in Season 1 but we really crank it up for Season 2 hence, why this fun little summary section has absolutely gone off the rails. This breaking of form is a representation. It's a micro chasm of how the show views it's self and, thusly, is a commentary on the blah blah blah blah blah blah. As our new, young, and at times progressive priest begins to acquiesce to his new surroundings, he finds himself butting heads with the eccentric parishioners who come to him seeking solace and advice. Whether he's trying to understand Old Margaret's “usual” confession; parsing out how Tom can better help care for his wife's pet pig, David; or getting to the bottom of the Christmas Eve Mass Incident, Forgive Me! explores the intertwined lives in Ben's new community and the funny, sad, and sometimes painful experiences that come out of confession and the Catholic experience.
