सयानी बुआ कहानी में सयानी बुआ लेखिका की अपनी बुआ थी। जो हर काम को समय से करना ज्यादा पसंद करती थी।वह काफी कठोर थी। सबसे अपनी बात मनवाने में माहिर थी। अनावश्यक चीजों का दुरूपयोग उनको पसंद नहीं था। वह स्वयं स्कूल में एक पेंसिल को जब तक छोटा होकर हाथ में न आ जाए गुस्से लिखती थी। रबर को भी ५-६ साल तक चलाती थी। चीजों को संभाल कर रखना वह खूब जानती थी। लेखिका को अपनी बुआ के बारे में पिताजी से पता चला ।वह भी सयानी बुआ से बहुत डरती थी। एक दिन उनके पिताजी ने आगे की पढ़ाई के लिए उनको सयानी बुआ के यहां भेज दिया। लेखिका सहमी सहमी गई थी। परिस्थिति सच में बहुत गंभीर थी। सयानी बुआ साफ सफाई बहुत पसंद करती थी। एक बार एक नौकर ने उनके ५ रूपयों के कांच के डब्बे को तोड़ दिया था तो उन्होंने उस बच्चे की बहुत पिटाई की थी। A इस प्रकार की सयानी बुआ के पास जाकर रहकर पढ़ाई करने का अवसर लेखिका को मिला।

The black aeroplane, written by Frederick Forsyth is a mystery story. The story revolves around the mystery, ‘who was another pilot?'  The narrator was on his way to England hoping to have a good English breakfast with his family. But he saw great storm clouds ahead of him. There were huge, mountain shaped clouds. The narrator risked to enter in the clouds. No sooner he entered in the clouds everything turned black. He saw anther aeroplane without lights on its wings. The pilot waved his hand to the narrator and asked him to follow him. The narrator followed the pilot of another aeroplane as his compass, radio went dead. Even there was not enough fuel in his tank. With the help of another pilot, he landed safely and when he went to receptionist to thank the pilot he was informed by the lady that there was no any other plane flying in the sky that night.

His First Flight' by Liam O' Flaherty tells about the need for courage and self-confidence to overcome fears in life. A young seagull looked desperately at the vast expanse of water that stretched before him.  His parents, brothers and little sister had flown away and left him alone on the rock. There was no food and he was hungry. He could not fly.  Many times he had tried to run forward to the brink of the ledge and flap his wings. But he was afraid and felt that his wings would not support him. Despite making countless efforts his parents could not persuade him to make an attempt to fly. He was starving and felt that he would die if he did not get any food. He saw his mother tearing a piece of fish with her beak. When he cried out to her she just screamed back mockingly. Then he saw his mother approaching him with food and was very happy. But she stopped at a distance. He was very hungry so he dived at the fish. His mother flew upward and he started falling. He was terrified for a moment but then he realized that he was flying. In this way he made his first flight.

The story is about a 15-year-old thief who changes his name every month to stay ahead of the police and old employers. This time he kept his name Hari Singh. ... The thief meets Anil and asks him if he can work for him. The story unfolds on how the thief betrays Anil by committing a theft but retracts later on.

The Lull" isthe classic short story.   Saki is  a    surprise ending  short story writer and the ending of "The Lull" was a great fun surprise.    Our central character is a very stressed out young man running for political office.    He has stopped for the night at the house of an aunt who sees he needs to badly forget politics for at least one night.     All the rest of the plot is part of the surprise so I will not spoil it.    

IN THIS STORY THE AUTHOR JAS COMPARED TWO BOYS, ONE FROM A TYPICAL MIDDLE CLASS FAMILY, WHERE ALL THE COMFORTS WERE PROVIDED TO HIM BU HOS PARENTS. THE SECOND BOY HAPPENS TO BE FROM A VERY POOR FAMILY. HE WAS MERITORIOUS, HARDWORKING, AND CONTENTED.

This is a short story about a man who came to seers. Suda Moorthy at the office of Infosys Foundation. He mistook Mrs. Moorthy to an office staff and started boasting about his relationship with the family of Moorthys.

Bholi is a story written by K.A. Abbas. The story revolves around a girl who due to accidental fall and disease in her childhood faces the problem of being dull and ugly. She is always a target by everyone for not being good looking and intelligent. Her life turns when she joins a nearby school where her teacher encourages her and helps her to become a learned and confident person. Later in the story, circumstances arise where Bholi has to give acceptance to the marriage with an unequal match but rejects it when she sees her father pleading to the bridegroom when he demands dowry. The story shows the rise of a girl against social injustice.

Iss story mein लेखक ने मानव द्वारों अपने स्वार्थ के लिए किये गए धरती पर किये गए अत्याचारों से अवगत कराया है। पाठ में बताया गया है की किस तरह मानव की न मिटने वाली भूख ने धरती के तमाम जीव-जन्तुओं के साथ खुद के लिए भी मुसीबत खड़ी कर दी है।

The Four Feathers by Ruskin Bond is a short story originating from his school days, when he was in Shimla in a prep school. Bond and three more friends of him formed a gang of boys; they took different features to signify their worth in the gang. Also, it meant that they are companions in adventure, comrades-in-arms, and Knights of the Round Table. The features were from peacock, woodpecker, parrot and falcon. They chose as per their skills and behavior. For Bond it was of a parrot's, since he hadn't much choice.

यह story अंदमान निकोबार द्वीपसमूह के एक प्रचलित लोककथा पर आधरित है। अंदमान निकोबार दक्षिणी द्वीप लिटिल अंदमान है जो की पोर्ट ब्लेयर से लगभग सौ किलोमीटर दूर स्थित है। इसके बाद निकोबार द्वीपसमूह का पहला प्रमुख द्वीप कार-निकोबार है जो की लिटिल अंदमान से 96 कि.मी. दूर है। पौराणिक जनश्रुति के अनुसार ये दोनों द्वीप पहले एक ही थे। इनके अलग होने के पीछे एक लोककथा आज भी प्रचलित है। जब दोनों द्वीप एक थे तब वहां एक सुन्दर सा गाँव था जहाँ एक सुन्दर और शक्तिशाली युवक रहा करता था जिसका नाम तताँरा था। वह एक नेक और ईमानदार व्यक्ति था और सदा दूसरों की मदद के लिए तत्पर रहता था। निकोबारी उसे बेहद प्रेम करते थे। वह अपने गाँव के लोगों के साथ सारे द्वीप की भी सेवा करता था। वह पारंपरिक पोशाक में रहने के साथ अपनी कमर में सदा एक लकड़ी की तलवार बाँधे रहता था। वह कभी तलवार का उपयोग नही करता था, लोगों का मत था की तलवार में दैवीय शक्ति थी।

बड़े भाई साहब' कहानी प्रेमचंद द्वारा रचित है। प्रेमचंद की कहानियाँ हमेशा शिक्षाप्रद रही हैं। उन्होंने अपनी कहानियों के माध्यम से किसी-न-किसी समस्या पर प्रहार किया है। बड़े भाई साहब समाज में समाप्त हो रहे, कर्तव्यों के अहसास को दुबारा जीवित करने का प्रयास मात्र है। इस कहानी में बड़े भाई साहब अपने कर्तव्यों को संभालते हुए, अपने भाई के प्रति अपनी ज़िम्मेदारियों को पूरा कर रहे हैं। उनकी उम्र इतनी नहीं है, जितनी उनकी ज़िम्मेदारियाँ है। लेकिन उनकी ज़िम्मेदारियाँ उनकी उम्र के आगे छोटी नज़र आती हैं। वह स्वयं के बचपन को छोटे भाई के लिए तिलाजंलि देते हुए भी नहीं हिचकिचाते हैं। उन्हें इस बात का अहसास है कि उनके गलत कदम छोटे भाई के भविष्य को बिगाड़ सकते हैं। वह अपने भविष्य के साथ खिलवाड़ करने से भी नहीं चूकते। एक चौदह साल के बच्चे द्वारा उठाया गया कदम छोटे भाई के उज्जवल भविष्य की नींव रखता है। यही आदर्श बड़े भाई को छोटे भाई के सामने और भी ऊँचा बना देते हैं। यह कहानी सीख देती है कि मनुष्य उम्र से नहीं अपने किए गए कामों और कर्तव्यों से बड़ा होता है। वर्तमान युग में मनुष्य विकास तो कर रहा है परन्तु आदर्शों को भुलता जा रहा है। भौतिक सुख एकत्र करने की होड़ में हम अपने आदर्शों को छोड़ चुके हैं। हमारे लिए आज भौतिक सुख ही सब कुछ है। अपने से छोटे और बड़ों के प्रति हमारी ज़िम्मेदारियाँ हमारे लिए आवश्यक नहीं है।

Shamshaan ko hamesha se Ishwar se ek shikayat hai ki usse bhi insaano jaisa prem se sarabore hridya kyun nahi mila hai. Kahani ke prarambh se lekar antt aate aate tak shamshaan ki saari dharnaaye thee weh sab toot gayi aur usse vaastvikaa kaa abhaassho gaya.

The Portrait of a Lady' is part of an autobiography by Khushwant Singh. In this story, the author draws a pen portrait of his grandmother. He beautifully unfolds their relationship and how it undergoes several changes. In other words, the story is a loving tribute from a grandson to his grandmother.

This is a brilliant short story by Sudha Moorthy,where she tried to show that is the small things in life which matter the most. Money, Position, material things are all Important but can not guarantee happiness. We need to look for happiness in small things around us. Life is short, life is numbered. Find happiness before it's too late.

THE BLACK. CAT- SHORT STORY BY RUSKIN BOND. The author has a great admiration for the nature. His style of articulation of the thoughts is amazingly superb. The readers/ audience are actually able to visualise the entire scene.

This story encompasses the value of a Teacher in their students life. The times are changing and so is the respect for teachers fading away. This story talks about the same.

The story ‘A New Flower' is a story by writer Ruskin Bond. In this story there are two main characters – A girl called Usha and a narrator.   The narrator who is telling the story is a freelance writer. He is staying in Himalayas in a cottage on the hill. The narrator is very fond of nature. He finds solace in its company. Though he likes flowers very much he doesn't want to harm them. He is also worried about the rare species of flowers and their existence. He is very caring towards them and doesn't like even goats trying to harm them. Besides he wants to protect the flower from all odds but he is unable to do so.
