As we kick off our new series 'Mountains Will Move', Pastor Kevin leans in to what the vision of Vortex will look like over the next season. This series is rooted in finding faith that God can do the impossible.

Tannon Nauert has served as a Senior Pastor, a Student Pastor, and a Pastor over Men's & Discipleship ministries. Currently he is a senior leader at Betenbough Companies where he works to see God and His Kingdom revealed in the marketplace. Pastor Kevin has served as distant mentor for Tannon and his wife Amanda for years! We're excited to have them with us today!

Jason Burgbacher helps lead Faith Church in Summerville, SC - one of the largest churches in the Charleston, SC area. Faith Church is the very first church that Pastor Kevin Simmons worked at. He worked there as an intern after his freshman year in college! Jason and Pastor Kevin have a friendship first forged when they were at Faith Church almost 30 years ago! Jason's insight and ability to communicate the Word of God have impacted many, and we can't wait to hear from him today!

Pastor Monté Dillard Sr. served as the Senior Pastor of the First Church of God Christian Life Center in Evanston, Illinois until recently taking on the role of interim leader of his denomination. He has served as one of the leading voices within his denomination, within his local community as the Chaplain for the Evanston, IL Fire Department, and within the global church as he travels and speaks. We are blessed to have Pastor Dillard with us today!

Pastor Dan Stallbaum led East Coast Christian Church in Merritt Island, FL from just a handful of people to a church that raised up multiple campuses and served thousands of people each week. He currently serves at one Vortex Church's Overseers - a board of Pastors and mentors that help advise the church and Pastor Kevin. For years Pastor Dan has made it his mission to add value to Vortex and serve our Pastor. We are so blessed by him and know you will be as well!

During this message, Pastor Kevin is going to teach through Philippians 3 encouraging us to shift our confidence from religious achievements or past experiences to a deep, growing relationship with Jesus. True and lasting joy comes not from what's behind or from striving to earn God's love, but by pressing forward in faith, trusting that the best is yet to come in Christ.

Joy isn't just a feeling—it's a mindset shaped by the attitude of Christ. During this message, Pastor Kevin Simmons shows us in Philippians 2, that Paul challenges us to complete our joy by choosing unity, humility, and honor in the way we treat others. Jesus modeled it perfectly, and now we're called to live it out, trusting that God will honor our faithfulness and fill us with lasting joy.

In Week 1 of our new series How to Find Joy, Maddie Brown is going to help us explore What True Joy Really Is through the lens of Philippians. Paul, writing from prison, shows us that joy isn't a fleeting feeling tied to circumstances—it's a choice, a response to God's purpose, and something we discover through serving others. As we kick off this journey, we're challenged to stop chasing happiness and instead embrace the deep, lasting joy that only God can provide.

When we look at our lives, we know that every story is broken by sin. With Jesus, through surrender to Him, He can redeem us and heal our story. During the message, Pastor Kevin Simmons is going to teach us those things through the story of Bathsheba!

We have all had things in our life, where we needed to put our trust in something or someone, but how often do we put our trust in God? This week Pastor Kevin Simmons uses the story of Ruth to show us that God wants us to put our trust in Him above anything else and when we do, He is faithful in His response.

Have you ever felt like it was hard to follow God during seasons of uncertainty? This week Guest Speaker Amanda Simmons, uses the story of Rahab to show us that it takes courage to choose to be on God's side especially during difficult times. If we choose to obey God in those season, He will protect us, redeem those moments, and use them to help grow our faith in Him.

As we kickoff Playlist 2025, Pastor Kevin mirrors the Old Testament story of Tamar to Kelly Clarkson's song, Stronger. 

Easter Sunday is huge but what's next as we go back to our “normal lives”? How do we keep the importance and power of the resurrection at the center of our lives? This week Pastor Kevin Simmons uses a passage from Luke to teach us how to navigate the “what's next” after Easter by finding Jesus in everything everyday.

It's Friday, but Sunday is Coming!

Palm Sunday is Jesus' triumphant entrance into Jerusalem and the start of Holy Week. This Sunday, Pastor Kevin Simmons uses the account of that found in the Gospel of Mark, to show us the vast contrast of how people received Jesus and then ultimately crucified Him and invites us to put ourselves in that story.

Easter is a big moment for the Christian church and we want to start preparing our hearts for an encounter with God in this Easter season. What greatness are you striving to be? Are you always wanting to be first or the best at something? During this message, Pastor Kevin Simmons is going to teach us through the life of Jesus the greatness we should be striving for and how serving has a lot to do with that!

Have you ever thought about how we relate to God? The tension in culture is that culture's truth tells us we are meant to be self-reliant, but that's not God's truth. We need God. During this message, Pastor Kevin is going to share three ideas that shape how we relate to God.

God has plans for His church and we want to be the church that God sees. As God grows you spiritually, He will use that to also grow His church.
