What if the most important part of your story isn't how you start—but how you finish? Today Pastor Kevin challenges us to think about what our lives are producing and what it really means to stay connected to what matters most.

Love is one of the most talked-about words in our culture — but we don't always agree on what it actually means. During this message, we're going to explore what Jesus says real love looks like and how it can completely reshape the way we treat the people closest to us.

Sometimes it's easy to admire Jesus without allowing Him to truly change us. But there's a difference between simply liking what He says and living the kind of love He modeled. This week, we'll look at a powerful moment from Jesus' final night with His disciples and wrestle with what it really means to follow Him.

Freedom isn't just about what we're rescued from — it's about what we're invited into. This message challenges us to rethink what real freedom looks like and where our choices are leading us. As we lean into Galatians, we'll discover how surrender leads to a life that's truly full.

Freedom sounds simple, but living it out can feel complicated. We all wrestle with thoughts, habits, and choices that pull us in different directions. In this message, Pastor Kevin looks at what real freedom actually means for followers of Jesus—and why it's more than just being forgiven.

Join us for First Wednesday we we kick off 2026 and 28 Days of Prayer and Fasting.

So many people think following Jesus is mostly about getting forgiven — like God wipes the slate clean and then we just try harder not to mess it up again. But what if the Gospel is actually so much bigger than that? What if Jesus didn't just come to erase our past… but to change the way we live right now? Today we're talking about something hidden in the Gospel that many people miss — and it might completely change the way you see your faith.

The Christmas story is filled with familiar moments and unexpected settings. In this message, we're invited to look again at the places we often overlook and consider how God works powerfully through what seems ordinary. Sometimes the most meaningful transformation begins right where we already are.

Christmas is filled with angels, miracles, and supernatural moments—but tucked inside the story are ordinary people living ordinary lives. This week, Pastor Kevin is going to show us something surprising and encouraging about how God works through the everyday, not just the extraordinary.

Most of our lives, we live in ordinary moments. As we kick of our Christmas series, The God Of The Ordinary, we see that God is the God of the ordinary. During this message, Pastor Kevin Simmons highlights Mary, the mother of Jesus, and how God met her in the ordinary space.

We all have the same 24 hours — but how we use them can shape everything about our relationships, our purpose, and our connection with God. Join us as we explore a surprising angle on generosity that hits closer to home than you might expect.

This week we're talking about a kind of generosity that goes deeper than money—one that reaches into our attitudes, our choices, and our everyday relationships. God promises real fruit when we trust Him with every part of our lives, and this message explores how obedience opens the door to the peace and joy we're all searching for. Get ready for a challenging and hope-filled word!

What if generosity wasn't just about giving—it was about life and death? In this message, we go back to the very beginning, to the Garden of Eden, to uncover how one small act of disobedience set humanity on a path toward death—and how God's design for generosity leads us back to life. This isn't just about money; it's about trust, boundaries, and the fruit that grows when we live with open hands.

Ever felt like what you have to offer isn't enough? You're not alone. This week's message will challenge that thought and show how God uses even the smallest acts of faith to do something extraordinary.

Five our of our Vortex Students take five minutes each to share from John 15 about how God is working in their life through a storm. Colton Mikesell, Telan Huneycutt, Logan Aikman, Olivia Brooks, and Mason Hyatt take the stage to share a 5x5 for this week's First Wednesday.

Evil isn't just something “out there”—it's something we must all confront both in the world and in ourselves. Proverbs and Romans remind us that overcoming evil doesn't come from fighting harder or repaying wrongs but by surrendering fully to God. Through Jesus, we overcome evil not with more rebellion, but with goodness, humility, and submission to His authority.

We all have a little bit of “fool” in us. During this message, Pastor Kevin is going to teach through Proverbs 14 and how it shows that foolishness comes when we let our appetites—like comfort, control, or attention—lead us instead of God. But wisdom calls us to something better: surrender and freedom through obedience to Him.

In Proverbs, God uses “labels” to describe different kinds of people — the wise, the foolish, the mocker, and the evil. These aren't permanent titles but snapshots of where someone's heart is. During the message, Pastor Kevin Simmons teaches us the importance of the labels and how we can see that God is inviting us to see where we are, so we can grow into who He's calling us to be.

We continue in our Gen Now series with Maddie Brown, Student Pastor.

God is on the move in the next generation! At Vortex Church, we believe students and kids aren't just the church of tomorrow—they're the church of today. During this message, our Next Gen Pastor, Jen Barker, teaches us how we can invite, teach, and empower the next generation to live out an authentic, world-changing faith.

Guest Speaker, Pastor Jason Doran, tackles the challenging topic of forgiveness in a unique way we can all walk away with a better understanding of God's view of it.

Faith isn't just believing in God—it's choosing to live like His promises are true even when we can't see them. In this message, we look at Hebrews 11 and discover that living by faith means filtering life through God's Word, practicing irrational generosity, taking a stand in the face of opposition, and trusting God in the middle of every test.

During the message this week Pastor Kevin Simmons reminds us that even a little faith in Jesus can change everything. Like Peter stepping out on the water, our trust often wavers when we focus on fear instead of Christ. But when we shift our trust away from money, people, or our own understanding, and fully place it in God, we find that He is faithful and able to do the impossible.
