This is part 3 of "Make It Make Sense," our series at Fusion Christian Church where we ask difficult questions and look for biblical answers. In our First Wednesday installment of the series, Pastor Matt teaches how to navigate faith and feelings.God's presence isn't based on our feelings but on the truth of God's word.Every Christian feels far from God sometimes, so it is important to know what to do when we experience that. The most important thing to remember is that God is not distant only because we feel he is. In fact, God is not distant at all, but is near to all of us.The Lord is our shepherd.God is like a shepherd who watches over his people, his sheep. When we feel far from God, we can know that our shepherd is still there by the scriptures that promise it. This means that God leads us, feeds us, and protects us. He preserves his people because he cares for them. He restores and refreshes our souls when we are weary. If we go through the valley of the shadow of death, we know that God is there to comfort, to guide, and to keep us from evil. When you feel far from God, remember what he says in his word and look to him for strength.
In this bonus episode we explore one of the powerful names of God, El Shaddai (God Almighty, The All Sufficient One).
In the First Wednesday service message, "DON'T BE GREEDY," Pastor Rich Whitter unpacks James 5:1–6, where James issues a sobering warning to the wealthy who hoard riches and exploit others. The passage reveals that earthly treasures decay, but God sees how resources are handled. Pastor Rich highlights that greed not only corrupts the heart but also invites judgment, while generosity reflects God's kingdom values. We hope this message challenges you to steward your blessings well and live with open hands before the Lord.

In this First Wednesday service, Pastor Bayless Conley shares from Acts 16 about God's desire to bring whole families into His kingdom. Be encouraged to share your faith, shine with good works, pray with compassion, and stand firm in believing that no one in your family is beyond His reach.
Spirit - Healing is in His Hands, Faith is in Ours In this First Wednesday episode, we dive into the gift of healing and the tension between God's sovereignty and our step of faith. We love the instant power of tongues and prophecy, but healing often feels messy and uncertain. Why? Because healing isn't about formulas—it's about love, faith, and God's perfect timing. We explore how even Jesus faced moments where healing required an atmosphere of faith (Mark 6:5-6), and how He prayed twice for the blind man in Mark 8:23-25, teaching us that healing is relational, not mechanical. If you've ever wrestled with the mystery of healing, or wondered how to move in the gift yourself, this episode will encourage you. It's not about having all the answers—it's about being willing to say, “In the authority of Jesus, be healed.”
For the July First Wednesday sermon, Pastor Alvin II teaches on "Hidden Wisdom." This isn't just any wisdom; it's the wisdom of God. "If it's God's wisdom, shouldn't it be easy to find?" Pastor Alvin explains that while it's available, it's not always easily accessible. It requires us to actively seek it out. To truly access this hidden wisdom, we have to lower ourselves and submit to God. Join us as Pastor Alvin walks us through this profound concept of Hidden Wisdom and reveals how its application can open the door to a clear and powerful line of communication with God. 1 Cor 2:7-10 Matthew 19: 23-26 1 Cor 2: 13-14 ABOUT US At Nashville Life Church, our vision is dedicated to following Jesus & building leaders.
