God tests Abraham's faith by calling him to sacrifice Isaac. He obeys, but is stopped by the angel of the Lord as a ram is provided - a great picture of the Lord Jesus who provided an acceptable offering to God on the mount of the Lord. Pastor Pilgrim teaches Genesis 22 at Shoreline Church.

Abraham ministers to the Lord as Sarah laughs at what is to come, setting the stage for the destruction of Sodom, even as Abraham intercedes for the city. Pastor Pilgrim Benham teaches Genesis 18 at Shoreline Church.

God reveals that Sarah will bear a son named Isaac, who will be the son of the covenant. Abraham laughs at this amazing news, and yet is quick to obey and circumcise all the males in his household. Pastor Pilgrim teaches Genesis 17:15-27 at Shoreline Church.

God Almighty confirms his covenant with Abram, changing his name to Abraham and introducing the sign of circumcision. Pastor Micah teaches Genesis 17:1-14 at Shoreline Church.

Sarai, seeing she is not conceiving, resorts to offering Hagar her servant to Abram as his wife. The result is devastating consequences, even though God graciously works for his glory. Pastor Pilgrim teaches Genesis 16 at Shoreline Church.

God establishes his covenant with Abram, which is unilateral and a picture of the new covenant in Christ's blood. Pastor Pilgrim Benham teaches Genesis 15:7-21 at Shoreline Church.

God reveals himself to Abram, promising to bless him with a son from his own body, and Abram responds with believing allegiance. Pastor Pilgrim teaches Genesis 15:1-6 at Shoreline Church.

Abram rejects the spoils offered to him from the king of Sodom even as he is blessed by the enigmatic Melchizedek, who is a type of the Lord Jesus Christ, our priest-king who mediates for and blesses those who trust him by faith. Pastor Pilgrim teaches Genesis 14:17-24 at Shoreline Church.

Abram and Lot separate, and Lot is taken captive through a political conflict, after choosing to live near Sodom. Abram rescues him boldly, displaying a life of faith set against a life led by the flesh. God restates his promise to Abram, showcasing the sand and dust as visible reminders of his future, innumerable offspring. Pastor Pilgrim teaches Genesis 13:5-14:16 at Shoreline Church.

Abram goes down to Egypt with Sarai, scheming and plotting rather than trusting YHWH. But even in his failure, God is at work for his glory, faithful to keep his promise. Pastor Pilgrim teaches Genesis 12:10-13:4 at Shoreline Church.

Abram was called by God to leave his country, his kindred, and his father's house, to go to the land that God would show him. God promises to bless Abram, and that through him all the nations of the earth will be blessed. Pastor Micah teaches Genesis 12:1-9 at Shoreline Church.

The nations narrow to one family line, from which God will select Abram to bless and make a blessing to all peoples, through the Messiah. Pastor Pilgrim teaches Genesis 11:10-32 at Shoreline Church.

Led by Nimrod, the nations congregate in Babel, conspiring together to defy God and his commands. God's judgment includes the introduction of languages, whereby he disperses the peoples to the ends of the earth. Pastor Pilgrim teaches Genesis 11:1-9 at Shoreline Church.

We are living in a time of pretty significant upheaval between a pandemic, hotly contested politics and now a war raging in Ukraine. But this is a drop in the bucket compared to the upheaval that the prophet Daniel faced in the exile and beyond. What do God's people do? In the summer of 2010, Oneka and her husband, Earl, sold their home, packed up their two sons, and moved to Dallas, TX. A short while later, they sat in a living room in Dallas and shared the vision of Shoreline with 17 courageous people. They started with a bible study in a nursing home. The bible study kept growing and they began meeting at the Angelika movie theater. They had their grand opening January 22, 2012 and saw over 500 people in attendance. In 2012, they moved into their current home off of Northwest Highway. God kept sending families, students, single people, and couples to be a part of their new church. Now with over 1,000 people who call Shoreline Dallas "home," they are moving to a new facility off of Garland Road. They are also so excited to announce that in 2016, they will be launching a church in Antigua, Guatemala.
