Back in the original recording trailer. The rats are gone and Tricia is sober. Thanks to Kim there was a disclaimer at the beginning of the last episode. Tricia came last week with a game plan. She met a random neighbor that she then tried to hook up with her sister. Seemed like a good match he works outages and they could be the Brady Bunch. Do you think she’ll like Big Ryan? Kim also ventured out to the mall and it was a scary sight with stuff that has shut down. There are talks of ways that they are changing the face of the malls across America. Maybe changing to assisted living facilities or Amazon distribution centers.Be sure to listen to Kim’s story as Pinky the Clown and if Tricia can get her out of retirement for Reagan’s third birthday.Want to connect with us?Drop us an email at whathappenedthisweekpodcast@gmail.comWebsite:www.whathappenedthisweek.comFacebook: https://www.facebook.com/whathappenedthisweek/Instagram:https://www.instagram.com/what_happened_this_week/Twitter:https://twitter.com/HappenedWeekTikTok:@whathappenedthisweek

Weight LossTricia is down a couple more pounds and Kim hasn’t weighed in yet. They discuss intermittent fasting and how it's worked for Tricia and James. Her jaw hurts but as much rambling she did during the episode you’d never know.TippingDo you think you should tip the owner of the salon the same as you tip any other employee? Yes! They are hoping to get in somewhere soon. After meeting another camper in the park that has been there seven years she started to panic. The good thing about camper life is that when a hurricane comes you can hook the house and go. Tricia continues to struggle with arthritis and sees the doctor next week, but if the medicine has a side effect of gaining weight it’s a no go. Tricia has tried doing yoga but with arthritis, it makes it hard. Instead, she is thinking a little 90’s rap booty dancing might be what she needs. Kim, Tricia, Michelob Ultra, and a Publix Sub are back in the trailer. In true best friend fashion, Kim brings Tricia flowers and a Publix Sub. It’s been 9 long months and that sub is amazing. Even better than the beer. Kim has started to settle into RV living. She now gets a little sad when she sees people leave that she didn’t have the time to meet. Storage and smart TVs have been at the top of her list. Tricia is settling into infant life again. Thank the lord that her baby is a great sleeper in his Bentley of bassinets. The SNOO was worth the price for the restful nights. Even if Kim thinks it’s excessive. Tricia’s days are filled with diapers, feedings, and pumping. She now feels like a dairy cow.Be sure to listen in for Kim’s tales from the trailer park and Tricia tales as the milkmaid. As always there are lots of stories in between as they go off the rails.Want to connect with us?Drop us an email at whathappenedthisweekpodcast@gmail.comWebsite:www.whathappenedthisweek.comFacebook: https://www.facebook.com/whathappenedthisweek/Instagram:https://www.instagram.com/what_happened_this_week/Twitter:https://twitter.com/HappenedWeekTikTok:@whathappenedthisweek

On this week's show, we are chatting about the craziest laws in the US and primarily in our home state of Florida. All of the craziest law-breaking stories come from Florida so it only makes sense for us to uncover the wacky laws. Just remember there is a law because someone attempting or did it once. We hope you enjoy the show! This week Tricia and Kim are discussing crazy laws in the US. Have you ever broken one of these laws?Who knew there were so many laws that involve elephants? In Alabama, it is illegal to drive blindfolded. In Arizona, it is illegal for a donkey to sleep in a bathtub. In Connecticut, you can’t sell a term paper or essay.Being from Florida we found a few:It is unlawful to throw a dwarf where liquor is sold.Parking fines for elephants - Any elephant tied to a parking meter is illegal in Sarasota.A woman can get a ticket for falling asleep under a hairdryer. No farting in public after 6pm.A man can’t be seen in public in any kind of strapless gown.It is illegal to skateboard without a license.Want to connect with us?Drop us an email at whathappenedthisweekpodcast@gmail.comWebsite:www.whathappenedthisweek.comFacebook: https://www.facebook.com/whathappenedthisweek/Instagram:https://www.instagram.com/what_happened_this_week/Twitter:https://twitter.com/HappenedWeekTikTok:@whathappenedthisweek
This episode the girls really didn’t have much to talk about. LOL Lets be honest, they always have something to say, however this week they don’t have a specific topic to cover. Just a show about nothing. Is COVID still affecting you? Kim will be traveling soon and had to weigh the time driving versus flying and the flights are super cheap so they are going to fly. There was a diagnosis close to home. Kim’s local watering hole saw a case COVID with their dishwasher.Want to connect with us?Drop us an email at whathappenedthisweekpodcast@gmail.comWebsite:www.whathappenedthisweek.comFacebook: https://www.facebook.com/whathappenedthisweek/Instagram:https://www.instagram.com/what_happened_this_week/Twitter:https://twitter.com/HappenedWeekTikTok:@whathappenedthisweek
How do you feel about people who are late? Both Kim and Tricia are early arrivers, This is probably why they are such great friends. Kim wouldn’t tolerate it any other way.Kim has a couple of Karens that are late for everything. Even to her wedding. One particular person was in the wedding and left to run an errand and they almost held up the ceremony. That still burns her to this day.Crazy neurotic Tricia freaks out about being late while her husband is always cool, calm, and collective. Thank goodness or it would be a big mess.Want to connect with us?Drop us an email at whathappenedthisweekpodcast@gmail.comWebsite:www.whathappenedthisweek.comFacebook: https://www.facebook.com/whathappenedthisweek/Instagram:https://www.instagram.com/what_happened_this_week/Twitter:https://twitter.com/HappenedWeekTikTok:@whathappenedthisweek
Reunited and it feels so good. After weeks of recording remotely, the girls are back in the studio!!How does reopening look to you? Around here the salons are open. No more roots and hippie hair. A local barber was cited for not following the rules of the number of patrons waiting inside. Hopefully, all the businesses can get up and running and everyone can stay safe. We are excited to see our community come back.Have you ever regifted a gift or what do you do when you receive a bad gift?Tricia is the queen of the regifting things that she didn’t like or need. Always careful to know who got her the gift so she makes sure nobody’s feelings are hurt. The best way to discard unwanted gifts is white elephant parties.Want to connect with us?Drop us an email at whathappenedthisweekpodcast@gmail.comWebsite:www.whathappenedthisweek.comFacebook: https://www.facebook.com/whathappenedthisweek/Instagram:https://www.instagram.com/what_happened_this_week/Twitter:https://twitter.com/HappenedWeekTikTok:@whathappenedthisweek
When will this quarantine end? While the state of Florida has lifted their stay at home, Kim and Tricia are still social distancing. Therefore they are still connecting virtually. It has become challenging not seeing each other and reacting to the other's facial expressions. They may break social distancing this coming week for the sake of better content.Did anyone else notice Kim was a little “buzzed” in episode #20? Maybe a few too many Truly's.Tricia is still on baby watch. No baby yet, which is good news since he still has a few more weeks.Kim and Tricia discuss their top movies. This week the girls get into a little talk about obituaries. Not trying to go down a dark sad hole this idea came to be as Kim read an obituary that really blew her mind and she just couldn’t believe that was how it was written. So the girls did a little research on funny and inappropriate obituaries. Tricia has not had their baby yet but is officially on stay at home orders from her doctor. Kim continues on her buying and selling quest. She may not have a house but she has a PO BOX. As she continues on the roller coaster ride of real estate and least she can still get her Amazon packages. Kim and Tricia have been friends since high school. It’s been a long time, but it was easier back then. There wasn’t the whole world out there to search for a friend, only about 1300 people in the entire school, 350 in each class, and maybe two dozen in the group that they hung out with. It only makes sense that they became friends.Fast forward 25 years and husbands, kids, careers, families, and busy lives. The process is much harder. Just trying to find the time for the current friends they have can be challenging.Listen in as Kim and Tricia share their experience of finding friends over forty.Want to connect with us?Drop us an email at whathappenedthisweekpodcast@gmail.comWebsite:www.whathappenedthisweek.comFacebook: https://www.facebook.com/whathappenedthisweek/Instagram:https://www.instagram.com/what_happened_this_week/Twitter:https://twitter.com/HappenedWeekTikTok:@whathappenedthisweek
Kim and Tricia finally reunite and record this week’s episode together. They weren’t in the studio but Kim’s home office. Kim and husband are selling their house and Tricia’s husband sets the real estate sign in the yard. No better time to record. This week the girls talk lots of things about dating, including dating apps and crazy stories.Tricia talks about how her long term relationships all came about because either she knew them or someone she knew introduced. All exes were vettedAlthough Tricia should have checked the credentials of the people doing the vetting could have saved a lot of time and issues. Tricia and her husband refer to ex’s in their past as placeholders. They just held the place until they found each other. Kim's best story involves a guy she was dating that she let borrow her truck. He took the truck on a drive that ended up involving the police, highway patrol, helicopter, stop sticks, police dogs and guns. It is a must listen to hear the story. Be sure to listen to hear all the crazy stories in between.Want to connect with us?Drop us an email at whathappenedthisweekpodcast@gmail.comWebsite:www.whathappenedthisweek.comFacebook: https://www.facebook.com/whathappenedthisweek/Instagram:https://www.instagram.com/what_happened_this_week/Twitter:https://twitter.com/HappenedWeekTikTok:@whathappenedthisweek
Coming straight out of the house. Another week of virtual recording. Has everyone gotten a chance to see James’s video from last week? If not go check out his TikTok or the Day Drinking Moms for the explicit version. James wants to go viral and is checking his numbers. Tricia channeled Kim in a TikTok video with her son, Gavin. She gave it her all and showed her enthusiasm. As we continue to stay at home we have had lots of time to catch up on Netflix and other streaming apps. Much like the rest of the world, we are in another week of quarantine. This week we did the podcast virtually. We also brought on our most important guests yet, our husbands. These men get talked about constantly on the podcast, that we thought it only right to give them their own time to shine, and boy did they shine. Be sure to listen to the episode as James mixes his own cocktails and goes rogue. Kim sits on the porch as a train and what sounds like a police chase go by. Nothing but laughs in this one. Perfect for a time like this.Want to connect with us?Drop us an email at whathappenedthisweekpodcast@gmail.comWebsite:www.whathappenedthisweek.comFacebook: https://www.facebook.com/whathappenedthisweek/Instagram:https://www.instagram.com/what_happened_this_week/Twitter:https://twitter.com/HappenedWeek
All this Corona again. Are you scared to cough in public? Few things we’ve learned are online doctors are the way to go, the service protects both the patient and the medical staff. Even Tricia’s high-risk OB specialist is seeing her via Telemedicine. Also, drive through an urgent care center. While our centers aren’t giving tests for the virus they are testing regular flu to rule that out for patients. Again Kim and Tricia are so thankful for our employers and protecting us through these times. As Kim continues to work from home she has started incorporating a morning bike ride. Tricia did confess that if she were working from home she is far too pregnant to work out and would just eat cookies. Kim may or may not start a child sweatshop to sell homemade products that the kids she is homeschooling make.Want to connect with us?Drop us an email at whathappenedthisweekpodcast@gmail.comWebsite:www.whathappenedthisweek.comFacebook: https://www.facebook.com/whathappenedthisweek/Instagram:https://www.instagram.com/what_happened_this_week/Twitter:https://twitter.com/HappenedWeek
We hope that all of you have been listening to our series of Make March Yours and have gotten some great information out of the episodes. The things we learned:Tricia cuts and colors her own hair Kim has to get her hair done a lot sooner than others do to her grey streakKim had a tummy tuckTricia had her boobs doneWe also tackle our list of insecurities and try to not let them overwhelm them and make changes going forward with their own goals. Not just our bodies but our lack of culinary skills or Kim’s stumbling over words.Like everywhere else in the world, we couldn’t stay away from the word Corona virus. Kim has had her family meeting about quarantine. Kim will leave her family behind to save herself.Trying to navigate this new daily normal with facing down Corona, Kim and Tricia are both very thankful for their employers and keeping them safe. There are some things in life that you can’t work out to get, or use beauty products or hair products to fix. Sometimes you need a little help. You can’t grow bigger boobs or correct hair loss on your own. You need a little help and there isn’t anything wrong with that. Kim and Tricia sit down for a little Q&A (done Kim & Tricia style) with a couple of gals that work for a prominent plastic surgeon office in town. Kim and Tricia hit the road for a sit down with the incredibly kind and informative, Elise Ryan. Elsie is an amazing teacher (former teacher of the year), a wife, lover of Jesus and Beauty Counter consultant to name a few. She found a company that not only bans 1500+ ingredients but is also socially conscious.Want to contact Elise?Website: www.beautycounter.com/elliseryanFacebook: https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=5258822Instagram: elliseryanWant to connect with us?Drop us an email at whathappenedthisweekpodcast@gmail.comWebsite:www.whathappenedthisweek.comFacebook: https://www.facebook.com/whathappenedthisweek/Instagram:https://www.instagram.com/what_happened_this_week/Twitter:https://twitter.com/HappenedWeek
Kim and Tricia invite guests, Shannon and Michelle, into their “studio to discuss all things reality, reality shows anyway. Like most episodes, this one goes off the rails a few times. Shannon bought tickets for the four of them to go see Stassi on her podcast tour. It was such a great time. For a second the girls thought they were either part of the show or going to be burnt to a crisp. On the way home Kim and Tricia did try to do a Stassi Live recap for What Happened This Week but the audio was really bad. So, since that audio is forever gone in the podcast graveyard, Kim brought up that during the show Stassi talked about her celebrity hall pass and everyone thinks Tricia’s choice that night was hilarious. Kim kept her hall pass safe with Matthew McConaughey well Tricia chose Garth Brooks, 1990’s Garth Brooks. A weekend recap: Kim did some yard work and lost her bet with the fight.Tricia was at the fair watching her son sell his pig. Shout out to Agri-Gators, Inc. for supporting his project!!!!!!!!!!!First up Siesta Key on MTV. All the drama that wealthy kids on Florida’s west coast can bring. Both Shannon and Kim have made trips to the places that are filmed. Shannon along with her husband went to Siesta Key with another couple. While there they saw the cameras filming Brandon and Amanda. Shannon got her moment when she saw Amanda later in the night and yelled out I love you Amanda and Amanda responded, I love you too!! Kim’s trip wasn’t as successful. Even with her daughter’s help to find the Siesta Key mansion, she didn’t see anyone! Vanderpump Rules is on its eighth-season and the major cast members are all back with the addition of Stassi’s boyfriend Beau (now finance). A spin-off for Lisa Vanderpump from the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills and her restaurant SUR. It is so crazy when watching Vanderpump that the cast members say one thing and Bravo shows the clip of the complete opposite. Do they not realize that it will be aired. It has been a wild few episodes so far. Have you ever reached out to a reality star on social media? Kim responded to a post of Stassi’s. Shannon’s husband sent a friend request to Kate from Below Deck, but was not accepted. Michelle took the grand prize. She got a response from Kathyrn from Southern Charm! Kim and Tricia have reunited after almost two weeks apart. They had a lot of catching up to do. On hiatus Kim and her family also decided to go spend the day hitting a few golf balls at the Drive Shack. Besides mini-golf, Kim isn’t much of a golfer. It was impressive that she did know that you use irons in golf, although she thought it was called a tire iron. During her hiatus, Tricia and her family embarked on a 10-hour car ride to go skiing in the mountains of North Carolina. It was a true test in parenting. Do you like solve crimes? Starting this podcast was a big adventure for two best friends. Kim and Tricia have been friends for over 25 years. Their friendship began in Mrs. Carpenter’s 10th grade English class where by chance Kim sat behind Tricia. Tricia was a bit of a goody two-shoes and Kim a little more on the wild side. This chance seating came in handy as Kim asked Tricia to move her elbow so she could cheat off of her on a spelling test. The joke was on Kim because Tricia is a terrible speller, but a great friendship began. Do you like solve crimes? Check out Hunt a Killer.
