Welcome to the WLDSONS Podcast. A podcast for men pursuing a life of passion, adventure and freedom, walking intimately with God on a journey to become the men he created us to be. We have chosen to take this journey together as true sons and as brothers. And as we’re guided by older and wiser me…
In this conversation, Allen and Pablo discuss the concept of The Real versus The Artificial. Allen shares his personal journey of transformation and how he came to write his book, 'Risk the Real.' They explore these important questions: What is Real? What is the origin of Reality? What is Artificial? What are the consequences of choosing one versus the other? How do we Risk the Real? Allen Arnold discusses the importance of risking towards the real and choosing God as our true North. He emphasizes that risk is normal and necessary in life and that we should risk boldly with God. Allen also highlights the need to recognize and let go of counterfeit sources of life, including technology. He shares his personal journey of healing and restoration in Jesus and encourages listeners to be all in for God. The conversation explores the power of living a life fully dependent on God and embracing the real over the artificial.
In the second part of their conversation, Jay Heck and Pablo discuss the journey of raising sons to become real men. They emphasize the importance of becoming true sons of God ourselves first before we can raise our own sons. They explore journey of exposing our sons to healthy and strong masculine figures and how to guide them through stages of the masculine journey, starting with the beloved son stage and progressing through the adventurer, warrior, lover poet, king, sage—all in preparation for reigning with Jesus, as Paradise kings. In the conversation, they emphasize the importance of fathering and creating a safe environment for sons to grow and explore their potential, the need for fathers to take their own journey, seeking healing and restoration, as we can not take our sons where we have not been ourselves.
In this conversation, Jay Heck shares his journey of discovering the possibility of walking with God on a daily basis in union with him as his true son. Jay discusses his upbringing in a heartless form of religion and the revelation of sonship as his rescue. He emphasizes how most men operate in their daily lives like an orphan, and the solution of living as a beloved son. Jay also explores how much people and things are defined by the names we give them, amd how addressing God as 'Pa, revolutionized his relationship with him. Jay also explores the role of casual adventure in discovering and embracing sonship. He concludes by discussing the journey of trusting God and receiving His love. The conversation explores the concept of joy and contentment in the context of a relationship with God. It emphasizes that joy is not dependent on external circumstances but is available through a deep connection with the loving Father. The conversation delves into the availability of joy, finding joy in any circumstance, contentment in the father-son relationship, the power of love and rest, and raising boys as true sons of God.
Seven years ago, Forrest Hersom accepted a wild invitation to rediscover his wild heart. In this conversation, Forrest reflects on the past seven years and the journey he has experienced as a man. Pablo and Forrest explore the topics of initiation and guidance from God, the need to let go of control and yield to God's invitations, and the process of uncovering and healing the wounds we have received throughout our story. Forrest also shares his perspective on living from desire and design, initiating his children through invitation, and the power of giving oneself permission to dream and dare.
In this conversation, Pablo Ceron and Bryan Byrd [Wild Courage and Iron Bison Training] explore the topic of masculinity and the journey of becoming the men that God created them to be. Bryan shares his personal experience of growing up without a consistent father figure and with a constant longing for masculine initiation. They dive into fatherlessness and its consequences, but how God is inviting us all into a path to become sons and receive all that our souls have always longed for. Bryan then shares his personal journey of being initiated by God through oder and wiser mentors and leaders and how it led him to experience radical transformation. He also shares his how this journey has shaped him as a father, how he is initiating his own boys, and how his relationship with his earthly father has also been redeemed.
There is a cultural battle against Masculinity—from explicit criticisms of masculine attributes like aggression and strength, to labels like “toxic masculinity” that undermine one of the key aspects of how we reflect God's image here on earth. During this episode of the WILDSONS Podcast, Pablo Ceron and Sean Fey discuss how masculinity itself, as well as its attributes, are fundamentally good, how what we face is a crisis of broken masculinity, and how God wants to restore it in us, so that we can bring our strength and power as true expressions of love to those around us.
How do we learn to hear the voice of God and follow him on a daily basis in our worlds? On this episode of the WILDSONS PODCAST, Pablo and Sean Fey welcome the beginning of archery hunting season in Colorado and share how God has used hunting and their time in the wilderness to invite them to cultivate a conversational intimacy with him. Hearing the voice of God is a gift offered to every one of us, if we are willing to receive it.
For this episode of the WILDSONS PODCAST, Pablo and his wife Juanita decided to turn on the mics during a conversation about fighting for more in marriage— more intimacy and union, more joy and peace. They share the story of their marriage and how as a result of their brokenness they were at the verge of getting a divorce, but how God intervened and through their individual journey of transformation they have come to experience more than they knew was possible. Join us, as together we risk opening our hearts to allow God to restore our hearts, and lead us into much more in the context of marriage, so that we may experience the fullness of what's available between a man and a woman on this side of heaven.
Morgan Snyder is the author of the book Becoming a King— The Path to Restoring the Heart of a Man. He is a member of the executive leadership team at Wild at Heart and has led events and discipled thousands of men around the world for the past 20 years. But more importantly, Morgan is a man who has consented to the path and process to become, over time, who God created him to be. And with his teachings, but even more so with his life, he has deeply influenced who we are and what we do here at WILDSONS. In celebration of the second anniversary of the publishing of Morgan's book, in this episode we offer you a deep conversation between Pablo and Morgan, where they dive into some of the key themes of the book Becoming a King.
Jim McCoy has been a recognized leader in business and in his local community for decades, where he has been involved in countless highly impactful projects. However, Jim recognizes that a man's journey of restoration is the wisest of investments with the most abundant of returns. In this episode, Jim and Pablo talk about what this journey looks like, while recounting the memories of when they first met, and how Jim's intervention in Pablo's life was the catalyst for Pablo's own journey of restoration.
Robert Golter is a devoted husband and a father of four beautiful children and a key leader in the WILDSONS community. In this episode, Pablo and Robert talk about Robert's journey of redemption— moving from passivity and brokenness to becoming a craftsman in all aspects of life. They go deeper into how God has invited Robert (and all of us) to awaken his warrior heart in the company of brothers, and how for Robert this is happening through Brazilian Jiu jitsu and hand-to-hand combat.
Pablo and Sean talk about the heart behind WILDSONS and how as men, we long to belong to a brotherhood— a small but special group of men where we are known, celebrated and needed. A brotherhood on a key mission, where we play a crucial and irreplaceable role. How that is God's design for each of us, and how it is fully available.
Today we're continuing our conversation about adventure, and diving deeper into the third and final category of adventure, as defined by our mentor Bart Hansen: Epic Adventure. Epic Adventure is defined by choosing to risk for love.
Today we're continuing our conversation about adventure, and diving deeper into the second category of adventure, as defined by our mentor Bart Hansen: Crucial Adventure. In Crucial Adventure, the stakes are higher. We must rely on wisdom and revelation from God. Crucial Adventure trains us to rely on God, to depend on him. To live a life of union with him.
As we continue exploring how God invites us into a life of adventure and risk, we’ve been drawing from the wisdom of Bart Hansen, an amazing man of God and a mentor, who talks about adventure in three different categories. Casual Adventure, Crucial Adventure and Epic Adventure. These three categories have been really helpful for us to explore how adventure relates to our hearts, how it can help us develop a more intimate relationship with God and how it can train us to live by faith - to trust God as he leads us into unknown territories. Today we want to explore the first of these categories, Casual Adventure, and the role that it plays in our hearts.
If we want to experience the “life to the full” that Jesus came to offer, we must go with him into the unknown. Into the frontier. God’s desire is for us to experience His goodness. A life of blessing and favor. In order to experience that life, God invites us into a journey with him. A journey to leave what is familiar (the ways in which we try to control life outside of him) and go into the unknown with him. The Bible presents many examples of this journey. Abram, Jacob, Jesus’ disciples, Paul. They all experience a journey of awakening, restoration, and initiation. During the journey, they all develop an intimate relationship with God, discover the treasures of his heart for them and are initiated to become the men God had created them to be. Jesus is calling us out today in the same way. Extending the same invitation. It is up to every one of us to answer: Yes, Lord, you have my Yes.
In John 10:10 Jesus describes the purpose of his coming. He says I have come that they may have life and have it to the full. More and better life than they ever dreamed of, says the Message translation. Friends, this life is available if we want it. Join us as we follow Jesus on a journey to experience more of him and the abundant life that he came to offer us. The journey to this life is neither easy nor quick. But it is so worth it. And the reward is a heart fully alive, a life of passion, adventure and freedom, and the joy of walking intimately with God as we become the men we were created to be. His sons. His Wild Sons.
