Your Place Of Grace with Anthony Sluzas

When we understand how Israel reached the Promised Land, we can know how to go from bondage to freedom. Today, we can progress from sin's defeat to victorious living as we walk out our salvation. The Israelites were delivered from bondage into a life of victory as they traversed through the wilderness journey. The starting point for victory is to break the defeatist mentality. (Deuteronomy 25:4; Revelation 1:2; Exodus 2, 3, 6, 5:2; Galatians 5:1; John 5:5-7)

Have you ever lost your courage to obey God? What happened as a result? Did you receive a second chance, or was the opportunity forever gone?

Everything you will ever need has already been provided by the finished work of Christ at Calvary. Reach out and take hold by faith. It's yours!

Our focus as believers should be on preaching the Gospel and teaching the Word of God to all people. Sadly, there are churches and denominations today spending big money to send thousands of Christians on so-called, “mission trips” around the world with instructions NOT to preach the Gospel. It's true! If they put the same amount of money and effort into actually preaching the Gospel and teaching the truth of the Word in those nations, they'd see infinitely greater results.

Where do you usually go for guidance? Have you ever experienced the consequences of turning to the wrong person for advice? Can you think of a time in your life when you were particularly stubborn? What happened as a result? Now think about a time when you sought God's guidance and did what He said. What did you learn? What blessings did you experience?

When you are making plans, do you ask the Lord for guidance? What hard lessons have you learned from leaving God out of your plans or jumping ahead of Him? What blessings have you enjoyed as a result of seeking His guidance and following Him in obedience?

What obstacles might be keeping you from teaching the next generation about the Lord Jesus through example and instruction? Think about your testimony and what you could share with someone younger. What have you learned in God's Word? How has He worked in your life?

What evidence is there in your life that you have the joy of the Lord? How consistently is it expressed in your disposition in hard times? What are some of the reasons you can rejoice in your relationship with Jesus, even in the most difficult of circumstances?

Someone once said, “The Church's future lies not in reforming society, but in reforming itself.” As 1 Peter 4:17 says, judgment should begin at the house of God. Only a repentant church can endure and win an unrepentant world. Satan is feverishly working today in seminaries, ministries, and churches to pull people away from trusting in the living Word of God. The reason apostasy is so dangerous is because it is an inside job.

Christ's authority being imputed to us through the blood means that whatever we bind and loose on earth shall be bound and loosed in heaven, and hell shall not prevail (Matthew 18:18). Everything that we do in the realm of spiritual warfare, we realize in a flow of the provision of the blood of the Cross.

Believers everywhere are under persecution like never before. How prepared do you feel to face danger or even death? What promises from God's Word would silence your fears and give you the courage you need? Rest in Jesus, who promised to never to leave or forsake us.

Yes, there is a Heaven to gain and a Hell to shun. The choice between the two is yours alone. (Matthew 18:1-14)

If you have ever contemplated “ending it all,” please get quiet, open your Bible, prayerfully listen, and learn how much God loves you.

Can you name a particular promise that God has given you? When is the last time you claimed a promise from God? What blessings came of that? Is it time to do it again?

As you evaluate your life and your home over the past year, what areas do you need to change so you can experience God's blessings? What can you do to assure that the Lord and His glory are the priority for you and your family?

Yes, it's true when the Bible says that “we possess this precious gift in earthen vessels!” Here's how we can glorify God in and through our lives…

You still have so much to be thankful for. Stop griping.

How many times have you confessed the same sin to the Lord, and each time you feel sorry and tell Him you won't do it again? Yet deep inside, you doubt that you'll follow through. We've all been there, haven't we? Perhaps the problem is that despite our confessions, we haven't entered into genuine repentance.

You will never earn, merit, or be good enough to enter heaven. Your salvation is totally dependent upon receiving God's grace, a free gift, that you access only through putting your faith in Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord.

The only way to have peace with God, others, and within our own hearts is through a personal relationship with Jesus Christ, who is our Reason for the Season.

What are the areas of temptation with which you most often struggle? In the past, what has been your strategy for dealing with these enticements? How successful have you been at resisting? This podcast deals specifically with how our Lord dealt with Satan's temptations and lessons we can learn from the Master.

In what aspects of life do you lack self-control? Why is it so difficult for you to surrender this to the Lord? Think about the areas in which you have already relinquished control to God. What has been the result? How would remembering God's faithfulness in the past help you yield even more of your life to Him today?

Do you feel like something is missing in your life? If so, what do you think is causing this sense of emptiness? If you ran to Jesus with this need, what would He tell you to do? Are you willing to let go of whatever He says to relinquish? Is there anything that is causing you to resist following Christ fully? What kinds of things tend to own you rather than you owning them?

As followers of Christ, we have been empowered by His indwelling Spirit to be vessels of healing to the brokenhearted.

Our Lord has commissioned His followers to be “fishers of men.” How are you fulfilling His command? It's not as difficult as you may think to share Christ with others!

Some of the greatest saints in Christian history have endured unimaginable suffering without doubting God's love for them. Although the Lord has not promised us an easy life, even in the middle of our trials we can know with certainty that our lives matter to Him.

Loneliness is the anxiety caused when we feel disconnected from the Lord or other people. Intense loneliness can become a relational and even a physical problem, but it is primarily a spiritual one. Here's the remedy.

What are you holding onto that God is asking you to release? What's keeping you from surrendering it? Are you afraid to surrender to God? If so, why? What could you lose by surrendering? What could you gain? Which one has eternal ramifications?

Do you believe God involves Himself in our lives at a personal level? Has God ever spoken to you? How can one discern the voice of the Lord?

Is America ever mentioned or even implied in Bible prophecy?

What are some of the “signs of the end times” in which we're living?

We live in lawless, dangerous times when spiritual darkness is covering whole the world. However, the Bible tells us that “we wrestle not against flesh and blood.” When Jesus is Lord of our life, then “we are more than conquerors!”

Where do you go to pray in private? If you have a specific place, how has it become your holy place? Has a daily prayer time become your habitual pattern? If you struggle with consistently meeting in private with the Lord, what is hindering you? What can you do to overcome these obstacles?

The USA has one of the highest divorce rates in the world. In fact, people work much harder in the preparations of getting married, than on staying married. God has a lot to say about weathering marital storms. We would do well to obey our all-wise Heavenly Father and fight for our marriages.

There is not a formula handbook on marriage relationships. However, there are basic guidelines within the Word of God, and if we'll obey, then the Holy Spirit helps you know how to live in them.

Today's podcast lists ten Biblical reasons sex sins are worse than other sins and why they are in a category all their own.

Today's podcast is all about Jesus, our Healer.

Have you suffered a deep hurt that is still affecting you today? How have you dealt with it so far? How has rehearsing the wrong in your mind affected your pain? What stops you from forgiving? What steps can you take to begin the process?
