For several days we've been looking at some very seriousprophetic truths in 2 Thessalonians chapter 2. Paul has talked about rebellion,the man of sin, Satanic deception, and people who reject the truth. Butbeginning in verse 13, the whole tone changes. Paul says: “But we arebound to give thanks to God always for you, brethren beloved by the Lord.” Ilove those words: “Beloved by the Lord.” Aftereverything Paul has said about what is coming upon this world, he reminds thesebelievers who they are. They belong to Jesus. They are loved by God. And if youknow Jesus Christ as your Savior today, so are you. Sometimes we need to stopthinking about everything happening around us and simply remember: I amloved by God. Not because I've earned His love. Not because I've alwaysdone everything right. But because of His grace. Paulcontinues by speaking about God's work in their salvation—through thesanctifying work of the Spirit and “belief in the truth.” Noticehow that contrasts with yesterday's passage. Those who perish rejected thetruth. These believers believed the truth. And what is the truth thatsaves us? The Gospel. Paul says in verse 14 that God called them: “by ourgospel.” The Gospel is the good news that Jesus Christ died for oursins, was buried, and rose again. That's the message Paul preached inThessalonica. Some rejected it. Others believed it. And those who believed werenever the same again. That'sexactly what Paul had said in his first letter to them. He said the Gospel cameto them not merely in word, but “in power, and in the Holy Spirit.” That'swhat happens when someone truly receives the Gospel. The Holy Spirit beginstransforming that person's life. And then Paul says something remarkable aboutwhere all of this is headed. God has called us: “for the obtaining of theglory of our Lord Jesus Christ.” Think about that! We began thischapter talking about our gathering together to Jesus. Now, near the end of thechapter, Paul reminds us that God's ultimate purpose is for us to share in theglory of Christ. Romans8 says that those whom God justified, He also glorified. One day this salvationGod began in us will be complete. No more sin. No more temptation. No moresickness. No more pain. No more aging. No more funerals. No more death. We willbe with Jesus and made like Him. John wrote: “When He is revealed, weshall be like Him, for we shall see Him as He is.” That's where we'reheaded! And that's why Bible prophecy should give believers hope. We're notsimply waiting to see what happens to the world. We're waiting for Jesus. Anduntil He comes, remember who you are. You are beloved by the Lord. Maybeyou're going through a difficult season today. Perhaps you feel forgotten. Perhapssomeone you loved is no longer here. Perhaps your health isn't what it oncewas. Perhaps circumstances have changed in ways you never expected. But thishas not changed: You are beloved by the Lord. The God Who loved youenough to send His Son to die for you hasn't stopped loving you. The Savior Whosaved you hasn't forgotten you. The Holy Spirit Who began His work in youhasn't abandoned you. And the God Who called you through the Gospel will finishwhat He started. Paulwrote in Philippians: “He who has begun a good work in you will complete ituntil the day of Jesus Christ.” So today, whatever is happening around you,rest in this wonderful assurance: I belong to Jesus. I am loved by Jesus. Andone day I will be with Jesus. That's a pretty good way to start your day! Let'spray. Father, thank You that those of us who have trusted Jesus Christ arebeloved by You. Thank You for calling us through the Gospel, for thesanctifying work of the Holy Spirit, and for the wonderful promise that one dayour salvation will be complete and we will be with Jesus. Help us live todaywith gratitude, confidence, and hope, remembering how deeply You love us. InJesus' name, Amen.

Vampires suck. But people love them anyway. For hundreds of years, mortals have credited tehse undead ingenues with a downright devilish disposition, so to help us dig up facts about blasphemous bloodsuckers we're joined by Andrew, director of the new movie The Vampires of New Orleans.  

In 1981, a 19-year-old named Arne Cheyenne Johnson stabbed his landlord to death in Connecticut and told the court a demon did it. Judge Robert Callahan threw the defense out before the jury heard a word of it, calling it “irrelative and unscientific.” Johnson was convicted of first-degree manslaughter. That set the template.Michael Taylor killed his wife after an all-night exorcism in England — the court reclassified the claim as mental illness. David Berkowitz blamed demons for the Son of Sam killings and later admitted in prison he'd invented the story to confuse investigators. Sean Sellers claimed Satanic possession drove him to kill his parents and a convenience store clerk — he was executed in 1999. Jason Dalton killed six people between Uber rides in Kalamazoo and blamed a demonic symbol in the app — life without parole.The record is perfect. Every defendant who has blamed a demon in an American courtroom has walked out convicted.JP Miller faces federal cyberstalking and false-statement charges in Florence, South Carolina, with a trial set for January 2027 after six continuances. He told his Solid Rock Church congregation in October 2023 that demons were coming out of him — the same month his affair with Suzie Skinner was discovered. The indictment alleges a tire deflation device, a tracker on Mica Miller's car, and lies to the FBI.In a sworn affidavit, Mica's brother Nate says JP wrote his wife an email that read: “I just attack and try to cause pain.” That was his language when no congregation was listening.He married Suzie Skinner in June 2025 and started a new church. Today we celebrate the week of the autumnal equinox. The assumption that pagans and the old religions worshiped a pantheon of gods and goddesses out of confusion and ignorance is an incredibly misguided belief. A study of historical literature actually seems to indicate that these ideas, like the Black Mass, were themselves an invention of the literalist church. The same is true for the solstices and equinoxes, which were holy days of nature, being branded evil. On this episode, Ramsey Darling, author of "The Satanic Self," joins to discuss this and more. There are some TV shows that are perfectly suited to Alternate Galaxies. And then there's The X-Files, a show that Rob has loved since it first hit Australian television in 1994, watched from beginning to end multiple times, and spent his university years discussing with strangers on the early Internet. The problem? It's over 200 episodes long, and Dave had somehow managed to go through the entire 1990s, the 2000s, the 2010s and most of the 2020s without watching it.  So, we needed a plan. That plan has been to throw Dave into the deep end - but only six episodes deep to start with. Rob has picked six stories from the first four seasons that don't require you to know the show's mythology, while trying to give Dave a proper taste of the enormous tonal range of The X-Files. There are monsters, Satanists, serial killers, psychic phenomena and alien abductions, but also some extremely funny episodes where the show gleefully takes the piss out of itself. Dave then immediately broke the rules by watching a seventh episode, because apparently six episodes of homework wasn't enough. Three airmen were ordered to guard the Triangle at Keesler Air Force Base, Biloxi, Mississippi in 1980. What they saw, shook them enough to make a pact. At the age of 3, David was already being forced to partake in rituals and soon after, he began being trafficked by the Freemasons and was sex trafficked to different countries, in underground tunnels, and even at the Vatican. David was eventually taken to the Tavistock Institute where part of him was programmed to be used to transfer information to places like the Vatican. In addition to being used as a sex slave and a courier, David was also programmed for the New World Order (like many other survivors on this podcast), and remembers being forced to attend adrenochrome parties and human hunting events.In 2014, David began disclosing to his wife, Carol, that he remembers being sexually abused as a child. And then in 2021, a divine intervention occurred which led Carol and David to stumble on and discover some new terminology which led them to discover that David had Dissociative Identity Disorder and that he was a satanic ritual abuse survivor. Although David's testimony is harrowing, horrifying and gut-wrenching, his life on the other side of healing is not. It appears that one of the greatest confirmations and defenses of Christianity by online personalities and influencers is name calling and mockery. And not typical insults; no, accusations that you are "gnostic trash" or obsessed with "logic" for asking for an explanation of what we call "bro-christianity." It's ironic because gnosticism refers to salvation obtained through internal spiritual growth, which is where the kingdom of heaven is said to be located by Jesus. Doubly ironic, because logic, reasoning, rational, and common sense are not merely the only objective markers of a creative Deity with no characteristics otherwise, but the very foundation of creation. Embracing "faith" without explanation is a declaration that there is nothing but raw desire that confirms the belief. It is desire, irrational animalism, and external salvation that have produced the worst evolutions of man. Anyone rejecting indescribable god, embracing unreason, and mocking enlightenment must certainly be under the influence of some wicked force, even if it is simply their own ego. According to survey data, Christianity has also been reduced further to a means of convenience in 2026 onward. Rather than being a defined "Christian," many are tagging themselves and following online influencers.
