As more data has come out about the realities of GLP-1s for weight loss (including some people regaining weight while still taking the drug, and research showing that those who go off the drugs regain weight quickly, paired with their own research showing that by year four, 89.5% of patients were no longer on the drug,) there has been talk about the dangers posed by drug-induced weight cycling. As we've seen with other concerns around these drugs and intentional weight loss in general (like eating disorders,) suddenly I'm seeing articles and studies trying to minimize the concerns about weight cycling.Enter “The Physiological Effects of Weight-Cycling: A Review of Current Evidence” published January 3, 2025. Lakeside United Methodist Church

3 Simple Rules For all of the detailed theology that undergirds the Methodist movement, John Wesley understood the importance of living out our faith practically. All of the Bible knowledge in the world doesn't do a lot of good if we don't know how to apply it across our lives and relationships. These simple rules are as vital now to our love of God and neighbor as they were when they were introduced in 1743! Scripture ~ Galatians 5:13-15 As the Methodist movement started to grow, it was no longer possible for John Wesley to personally oversee and guide every group that was meeting. He realized that *how* they did things was as important as *what* they did. And the first rule reflects the truth that we cannot truly do good until we commit to doing no harm.

We're getting closer and closer to the end of the run, and just when I thought we had the best episode of the season so far, we've got another one. Do No Harm, a crucially important episode for a lot of different reasons, but namely that we witness the first major character departure on the show: Boone Carlyle, portrayed by Ian Somerhalder. The episode features around Jack attempting to save his life after his major injuries in the previous episode, while Claire conveniently also goes into labor, which Kate finds herself having to deal with. It's only getting crazier each week as we get nearer to the Season 1 Finale of #talkinlost

His advice focuses on two key approaches: strictly following traditional etiquette rules, or at minimum, following the principle of "do no harm".  The primary goal of any donor interaction is to avoid any social missteps that could impact future donor relationships.

In this episode of Better for America, Rebecca Weber is joined by Beth Serio from Do No Harm to discuss the alarming rise of DEI (Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion) in medicine and how it is undermining patient care. A nurse by training, Beth highlights the dangers of prioritizing gender identity over biological sex in healthcare, stating, "When we allow ourselves to get led astray in these kinds of areas of social activism, we're doing that at the expense of best practices for our patients." She warns that such practices, once grounded in science, are now being replaced by political agendas. She reveals how medical schools are training doctors to prioritize identity politics over patient care. Beth emphasizes that confusing a child's sex and allowing them to choose their gender, instead of focusing on biological facts, leads to dangerous consequences in medicine. "We follow the science," she asserts, urging parents and grandparents to protect their children from harmful ideologies."

Priya also discusses her upcoming documentary Do No Harm, which explores the hidden truths of the dairy industry, both in the United States and India.
