If we didn't know better, we'd say we've been waiting to talk about this Peter Capaldi episode for 7,000 years. Or is it two billion? Time seems to drag when you're punching a wall made of random Doctor Who. Heaven Sent was an instant classic, but is this piece of clockwork perfection also the best story ever? We confess, we're not sure. Good thing we've got Alisa Stern (aka Doctor Puppet) to help us grind its gears. If you're listening, Gallifrey, the dangerous triple hybrid that will deconstruct your entire torture chamber… is us. Thanks to Alisa Stern for joining! On today's episode we chat with Alisa Stern and Scott Ampleford, who wrote and directed the short film Spiral to the Center. In the film, Rick reviews records and talks about music online. After his reaction to a strange record goes viral, a documentary filmmaker follows Rick down the rabbit hole where he uncovers twelve albums, a record label that disappeared in the 70s, and a dark secret. We're very excited to share this with you, and we want to thank Alisa sitting down to talk ...
Is "The Day of the Doctor" a great Doctor Who episode or the greatest Doctor Who episode? It sounds like a tongue-in-cheek question, but in the case of Doctor Who's 50th anniversary special, we're as serious as UNIT nuclear protocols in the event of a Zygon invasion. Luckily, Pete and Chris have some help to find the answer: Alisa Stern, creator of Doctor Puppet, joins the podcast as we build toward a final verdict on the timeline-altering world-record-setting special. The Whoniverse may have changed since those time-locked events of 2013, but we're revisiting them not a Moment too soon. Back in February, I attended my second Gallifrey One convention here in Los Angeles. While there, I managed to snag 30 minutes of time with animator and artist Alisa Stern, the woman behind the YouTube web series Doctor Puppet. We talk about what got her into animation, why she chose to do a Doctor Who-based series, and what's next on her plate now that she's decided to wrap it all up. For complete show notes, go to my website.

Join Tammy Coron and Tim Mitra on Episode 115, which was recorded on January 09, 2019. On this episode, they talk with Alisa Stern. Alisa is an animator, director, and artist. She's also the creator of the popular stop motion web series, Doctor Puppet. Episode Eleven: The future is Fan Fiction! Alisa Stern loved Doctor Who so much that she created her own original content using stop motion animation -- the BBC loved it so much that they aired it on their channel. Matthew Cox wrote a play about a "certain school of magic and wizardry" from the POV of a boy wizard who was sorted into the less than brave "Puffs" house -- it is still pleasing audiences off-Broadway years after the predicted short run. Along with pop- culture enthusiast Clive Young and up and coming author Matthew Klapper we chat about the history and cultural impact that fan fiction has had on the media we consume.

Doctor Who (aka "Doctor Misterio" in Mexico) is so popular he was mobbed at the airport by adoring fans..as is only right and proper.
