This Mother's Day message explores the difference between our timing and God's timing through the lives of six women in Scripture: Sarah, Rebekah, Rachel, Hannah, Elizabeth, and Naomi. Each woman faced seasons of waiting, grief, disappointment, surrender, and restoration — yet every story reveals a God who is never late.Through the biblical concepts of Chronos (our measured time) and Kairos (God's appointed time), this sermon reminds us that what feels like delay is often divine preparation. Whether you're waiting for healing, restoration, breakthrough, purpose, or prodigals to come home, this message is an encouragement to trust God in the waiting room.“No matter how long the wait feels, God has not forgotten you. His kairos moment is coming.”Scriptures referenced include:Ecclesiastes 3:1, Genesis 18 & 21, Genesis 25, Genesis 30 & 35, 1 Samuel 1, Luke 1, Ruth 4, Galatians 4:4, Habakkuk 2:3 and more.Welcome to Living Hope Church! These podcasts are our weekly Sunday sermons. We hope you enjoy them.
As we close out this week about being in divine moments, let us gain a greater understanding of Kairos timing versus Chronos time. On today's podcast, we get insight so you will be able to discern the difference and walk in the divine appointments the Lord has for you.
Lutheran Preaching and Teaching from St. John Random Lake, Wisconsin
Two kinds of time run through this Gospel. Chronos, which counts every loss and draws its conclusions. And kairos, which speaks the word of the risen Christ into the middle of those losses and names them for what they are: labor pains, not graves.
Unlimited Leaguers, we are going back in time! Forward as well. This really felt like an episode of Legends of Tomorrow. That is fine by us! Chronos is a henpecked scientist who creates a time traveling belt. He escapes his wife and continues to steal items, but a run-in with the League has him escape to the past. He lands in the Old West. His time belt is stolen byTobias Manning, who uses it to bring futuristic gear back in time and rule the territory. Batman, Wonder Woman, and Green Lantern team up with Bat Lash, El Diablo, Jonah Hex and Ohiyesa Smith to take Tobias down. But Chronos escapes and the League follows. They land in 2055. They are confronted by the Jokerz gang, but thankfully the future League is there to help. Chronos has destroyed the watch tower and most of the heroes with it including Superman! The only members who are left are an Old Static Shock, Warhawk (son of Green Lantern and Hawkgirl), Future Batman (Terry McGinnis), and future Bruce. Our JLU learns from the future one. They devise a plan to get to Chronos. Time is collapsing. Wonder Woman disappears, John turns into Hal Jordan and back, and more. They must stop Chronos. After a battle with the Jokerz, several members are lost and are killed. Chronos escapes and Batman & Green Lanter follow. They stop him before he reaches the beginning of time. Time is reset and no one remembers but Bruce and John. Chronos is stuck in a time loop as punishment. Tikām Jānis Petraškēvičs atklāj, ka opusā "Candela" radošais impulss nācis no rakstnieka Haruki Murakami izteiksmes skaidrības, ar kuru jūt spēcīgu saikni.

You don’t need more time. You need to recognize the time you’re already in. On this episode of Like It Matters Radio, Mr. Black breaks down the difference between Chronos and Kairos: Chronos is the ticking clock Kairos is the appointed moment And here’s the shift: You were not dropped randomly into time. You were placed into a Kairos moment—a divinely timed intersection where your gifts, your story, and your calling collide with purpose. This is not just another day. This is your moment. Mr. Black challenges listeners to confront the reality that everything we do—or don’t do—is driven by our belief systems. If your thinking is off, your life will follow. But when your mind is renewed, everything changes. This episode connects: Neuroscience (how the brain rewires through repetition and meaning) NLP (how we code experience and create emotional states) Scripture (renewing the mind, guarding the heart, living with purpose) Because transformation isn’t random—it’s structured. You’ll also be reminded of a powerful truth: You are not your body. You are not your brain. You are a spirit, designed with intention, wired for purpose, and called for impact. Mr. Black brings it home with a clear leadership mandate: If you want to lead, succeed, and make an impact— you must get into the people business. Because the greatest asset, the greatest cost, and the greatest opportunity in life… is people.See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

There is a moment when heaven interrupts the natural order, when what seemed delayed suddenly collapses under the weight of divine timing. Leon du Preez reveals the tension between Chronos and Kairos, exposing how delay is often a matter of perspective while God is already moving with precision and intent. Through prophetic insight and Scripture, this message reframes waiting, not as uncertainty, but as positioning. When alignment meets revelation, time bends, acceleration begins, and what was spoken manifests with undeniable force. This is an awakening to discern your moment, step into divine timing, and live where heaven's agenda overrides earthly limitation.
Every community has defining moments—times when people come together with a shared purpose to make life better for everyone who calls that place home. Today's episode is about one of those moments. On March 28th, something new is coming to Lake Country: the Lake Country Community Health Fair at Lake Oconee Academy. It's designed to bring together healthcare providers, wellness experts, community organizations, and residents from across Greensboro, Eatonton, Madison, and beyond—all under one roof with a simple but powerful goal: helping people live healthier lives. My guests today are two familiar voices on the show—Dr. Nick Chronos and Tom Hanscom. Both have spent years working to strengthen our community in different ways, and now they're teaming up to launch what they hope will become an annual tradition focused on health, education, and access to care. Plus, a new voice, that of intern Baylor Edge. This isn't just a walk-through expo. It's a hands-on opportunity for people to receive free health screenings, meet local healthcare professionals, learn about wellness resources, and ask questions that might otherwise go unanswered. In a region that continues to grow and welcome both new retirees and new families every year, events like this play an important role in making sure our community stays informed, connected, and proactive about health. We'll talk about how this idea came together, what people can expect at the Health Fair, and why this event could make a meaningful difference for families across Lake Country. So if you care about living healthier—or helping someone you love do the same—stay tuned and meet the team! In this Mobile Metron episode, Bishop Jim Swilley tells the raw, unfiltered story behind his mother's fall, the impossible decisions of elder care, and the unexpected “angels” who showed up right on time. Then he pivots into a provocative teaching on Chronos vs. Kairos, why guilt keeps us trapped, and why Jesus' words to Peter in John 21 sound a lot like modern caregiving. Along the way, he challenges fundamentalism, reframes “the fall,” and asks the question most of us avoid until life forces it: Are you trying to live longer… or live freer? 5 takeaways Chronos measures life. Kairos interprets it.Chronos is the clock/calendar; Kairos is the “time-out-of-time” moment where meaning snaps into focus (anchored by “my times are in your hands” — Psalm 31:15). Elder care isn't a “curse” — it's a season.Swilley reads Jesus' words about aging and dependence (John 21:18) as less “doom” and more “this is what long life often looks like.” Guilt isn't proof you're loving. It can be a leash.A care team's permission—“you don't have to come every day”—becomes a spiritual release: love can be real without self-punishment. Be specific about the life you're asking for.Not just “more years,” but “more years with clarity, mobility, and peace,” reflecting on the idea of long lifespan (Swilley references 120 years; see Genesis 6:3) and the cost of unmanaged longevity. Your life becomes lighter when it becomes useful. The old hymn idea—“If I can help somebody, my living shall not be in vain”—turns into an inventory of legacy: what you built, who you lifted, what your presence changed (echoing the wisdom of “teach us to number our days” — Psalm 90:12). Pull-quote (from the episode) “Focus on the kairos time of your life. Don't be so obsessed with the chronos time.” Scriptures referenced (with citations) “The kingdom… brings out… treasures new and old” — Matthew 13:52 “The Spirit of the Lord… liberty to the captives” — Isaiah 61:1 (also echoed in Luke 4:18) “The tongue of the learned” — Isaiah 50:4 “Let there be light” — Genesis 1:3 “My times are in Your hands” — Psalm 31:15 “Rightly dividing the word” — 2 Timothy 2:15 “The heavens declare the glory of God” — Psalm 19:1 “Man shall not live by bread alone…” — Deuteronomy 8:3 (quoted in Matthew 4:4) “I AM” — Exodus 3:14 “I desire mercy, not sacrifice” — Hosea 6:6 (quoted in Matthew 9:13 and Matthew 12:7) Curses / sweat of brow / labor pains — Genesis 3:16–19 Jesus & Peter on love, feeding sheep, aging, and “what is that to you?” — John 21:15–22 “Teach us to number our days” — Psalm 90:12 “120 years” — Genesis 6:3 “Blessed when you come in and go out” — Deuteronomy 28:6 “No plague… near your dwelling” — Psalm 91:10

First Things First by Stephen R. Covey is the gold standard for time management books. What if 2026 isn't just another year—but a divine invitation? In this prophetic and contemplative episode, our host, Donald E. Coleman, shares how the Holy Spirit revealed 2026 as a Kairos moment—a threshold of transformation and alignment with God's sacred rhythm. Donald explores how the Holy Spirit is inviting individuals, communities, and nations into a deeper awareness of sacred timing, where ordinary time is interrupted by divine intention—what the Greeks called Kairos.Listeners will be reminded that we are not just entering another year—we are stepping into a threshold of transformation. This episode serves as both a spiritual compass and a prophetic invitation to discern the season, align with God's sacred rhythm, and awaken to the flow of divine love—what Donald often names The Hidden River of God's Agape. This episode is for you if:You've been sensing a deeper shift in your spirit, entering 2026You want to understand the spiritual significance of time and timingYou are yearning to discern the difference between Chronos and Kairos timingYou're ready to live this year with sacred intentionLet this message stir your spirit to recognize that 2026 is not just a year—it's a Kairos invitation. My podcast's come alive. Welcome back to the podcast! Today, we're going to be talking about Hades II, the sequel to one of the most popular roguelikes of all time and the first sequel that Supergiant Games has ever made. And I for one am happy about that because I needed an excuse to play hundreds more hours of Hades. Hades II is very much a game that can be described as “the first game, but more” which could be a good or a bad thing depending on what you're looking for, but what's surprising is just how much more it actually includes. With two full routes to take and a suite of new weapons and gods, it has a ton of things to try and do mechanically, but also just enormous volumes of dialogue and numerous NPCs, making it feel like you'll never run out of new things to see. We're going to be talking about our favorite weapons and builds, the unique narrative position this game put itself in, and we talk about what kind of menacing grandpa Chronos is. Thank you for joining us again this week! This is one of those episodes that I felt I was slightly overprepared for, so we ended up going deeper into some subjects than we normally do but then also skipping over some stuff that a newer player would probably be thinking about. Let us know if this spoke to literally any part of your experience with the game by leaving a comment or over on our Discord! Next time, we're going to be talking about Everhood, so we hope you'll join us then.
Goodbye, Chronos. Hello Kairos. Enter qualitative time — the unhurried, opportune space where presence deepens and the habitual clutch of stories and roles loosens. Another way to describe this time is ancestral-eternal time, a place where myths and archetypes dwell. Kairos time is where we can dwell in “identity‑free space”. With Myrrh as our guide, a gap opens to release over‑identification with names, titles, and the ego's stories so we can meet what's true beneath them. You will be guided through a guided aromatherapy meditation set to Bach's Cello Suite No. 5 in C minor, BWV 1011 — Sarabande (Netherlands Bach Society / Suzuki recording) (minute 8:30). The episode includes my original poem “Last Night I Dreamt of Myrrh” (minute 17:15), followed by an exploration of Myrrh (minute 18:30): its ecology and etymology; the aromatic personality of its resin and essential oil; and clinical and ritual therapeutics for nervous system regulation, respiratory support, vulnerary and skin uses, and spiritual practice. To balance the somberness, we close with an uplifting musical respite: Così fan tutte — “Soave sia il vento” by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart (minute 29:15).If you feel the pressure of the year‑end rush — the urgency to buy, perform, and over‑do between Thanksgiving and New Year's — Myrrh offers a counterweight: gravitas, steadiness, and a practice for making room rather than filling it. Join your host, Amy Anthony, for aromatic-somatic cues, ritual language, and practical aromatherapy guidance you can use to slow the impulse to consume, meet grief or clutter of the heart (and lungs), and enter a Kairos infused holiday season. Here's the Myrrh article mentioned in the episode: https://nycaromatica.com/plant-talk-myrrh/

Have you ever felt like time itself is speeding up — like the days, months, and even years are slipping by faster than ever before? In this thought-provoking Side Talk episode, Billy dives deep into one of the most mind-bending theories circulating today: that time might actually be moving faster — and the key to it all could lie beneath the ground in Switzerland, at CERN.Join Billy as he unpacks the strange coincidences that followed the 2012 discovery of the Higgs boson — the so-called God Particle — and how some believe that moment didn't just change physics… it changed reality. From the Mandela Effect and déjà vu to the idea of alternate timelines and a universe slightly out of sync, this episode explores whether the world's largest particle collider may have done more than just smash atoms — it might have bent time itself.Tune in as science meets the supernatural, where quantum physics and the paranormal collide, and ask yourself:Did CERN accidentally nudge the universe… or are we simply waking up to how fragile reality really is?

EPISODE SYNOPSIS:This episode of The Brilliant Body Podcast features host Ali in an in-depth, compassionate conversation with Darshana Avila, a trauma-informed somatic educator, practitioner, and sexological bodyworker known for her appearance on Sex, Love & Goop. Together, they explore the intersections of sexuality, embodiment, grief, and healing, discussing how slowing down, attuning to one's body, and embracing vulnerability can lead to deeper connection and erotic wholeness. Darshana explains her integrative approach to sexological bodywork—helping clients safely explore pleasure, boundaries, and self-awareness—as well as the broader cultural conditioning that fuels shame, inhibition, and disconnection. Touching on topics from trauma and consent to the cultural devaluation of grief and sensuality, the conversation becomes a profound reflection on how reclaiming our embodied erotic selves is both personal healing and social activism, ultimately a journey toward fuller, freer, and more loving humanityFOR MORE ALI MEZEY:ALI - WebsiteALI - LinkTreeFOR MORE DARSHANA AVILA:BIO:Darshana Avila is a trauma-informed somatic educator, practitioner and international speaker who helps people reconnect with the most essential aspects of themselves — their truth, their desires, and their capacity for authentic connection. The fear of Chronos' time is a metaphor for being enslaved by deadlines and schedules, while Kairos is the critical moment for decisive action or significant change. It represents a fleeting window of opportunity for decisive action, a "light bulb moment" where conditions are perfect for a crucial act, such as an archer taking a perfect shot or a weaver working through a narrow gap in their loom. The concept is used in various fields to describe the importance of timeliness and seizing the right moment, such as in rhetoric, advertising, journalism, and religious contexts. Like a glowing boon sent by your favorite uncle from Olympus, Hades 2 has bestowed its favor upon us. This week we dig into on of our most anticipated games of the year and experience some para-social pride around what Supergiant Games has accomplished. And of course: death to Chronos.
In this episode, Pastor Cindy talks about the importance of recognizing your Kairos Moment. She explains the difference between Kronos Time and Kairos Time. Chronos is the measure of time. Kairos is the moment — the bursting into — to interrupt the Kronos. In order to maximize the Kairos season we are in, we need to acknowledge the time God has moved us into — and be open to the accelerated movement. What if time wasn't fixed, but something you could stretch, compress, and reframe? In this episode of Leveraging Thought Leadership, host Bill Sherman sits down with John Coyle—Olympian, design thinking expert, and author of "Design for Strengths". John has spent his life chasing the meaning of time, from hundredths of a second on the ice to decades in thought leadership. His work asks us to reconsider not just how much time we have, but how we experience it. John shares how fleeting moments can reset the trajectory of our lives—an insight that came from his Olympic journey where fractions of a second separate gold from "first loser". He explains the Greek distinction between Chronos (clock time) and Kairos (human, transformative time) and why organizations and leaders need to design for the moments that truly matter. We explore John's unique career path—from competing alongside Lance Armstrong and working with Enron to translating neuroscience and psychology into practical lessons on leadership, innovation, and resilience. Along the way, he reveals how flow state, storytelling, and emotional engagement can make time slow down and make ideas stick. You'll also hear John's most powerful Kairos moment—the story of a silver medal, a boy who became an Olympian, and how one act of kindness changed two lives forever. It's a reminder that you never know when a small choice can alter someone's future. This conversation challenges leaders to rethink their relationship with time, memory, and meaning. It's not about adding years to your life—it's about adding more life to your years. Three Key Takeaways: • Moments reset the future. Leadership pivots often come from brief Kairos moments that redefine direction more than years of steady effort. • Memories are the currency of time. Flow states, risk, and storytelling create lasting memories that make life feel longer and leadership more impactful. • Design for strengths, not weaknesses. Leaders unlock innovation and resilience when they focus on amplifying strengths instead of patching flaws. If you found value in today's conversation about designing time, flow, and moments that move you forward, you'll want to listen to Maximizing the Flow of Ideas for Your Organization with guests Jeremy Utley and Perry Klebahn. That episode digs into how leaders generate more ideas over time—and why volume, variety, and experimentation are just as important as insight or vision. Both episodes ask a powerful question: how do you create an environment where your best ideas don't just happen—but compound? In short, if you want tools for turning strengths into breakthroughs, and moments into momentum—this is your next listen. It'll help you scale creativity, lead from possibility, and expand what “thought leadership” can mean across your team or organization.
While Ghost of Yotei has gone gold and is now right around the corner, other segments of PlayStation Studios are on far less sturdy ground. Fairgames (or Fairgame$, if you like marketing) is seemingly the latest victim of an unprecedented run of bad decision-making, execution, and leadership within Sony's first party, as the upcoming shooter has shed its director, often (though not always) a dire sign for any project. Taken with recent reports (from this very show) of poor internal playtesting -- all the while Haven has already shed its major front-facing face and co-founder Jade Raymond -- we simply have to wonder whether Fairgames will ever launch at all. And if it does, does it have any potential to succeed whatsoever? Other news this week includes the rumored reemergence of Insomniac's Wolverine project, downward-revised SSD space for upcoming PS5 consoles, a fresh look at the promising Uncharted-like IO title 007: First Light, and much more. Then: Listener inquiries! Does Naughty Dog actually represent the pinnacle of game dev? How much can people twist themselves into a knot to justify piracy? What kind of pressure are studios and publishers under to adopt AI solutions? Will "Alleghany Hogs" catch on around the world? Show Notes: Sandor Marton, a McKinsey alum and co-founder of Chronos Insights introduces the AI research companion tool and explains its features. Sandor shares his background in growth strategy, commercial strategy, and due diligence work. He identifies the problems faced by small firms and independent practitioners who don't have large teams in place to assign people to do the massive amount of necessary foundational research, which limits the size of projects they can take on. An Overview of Chronos Insights Sandor discusses partnering with Matt Jones and Dustin Chrysler to develop an AI-powered solution for market and competitive landscape research. He talks about the background of the team and the issues they initially tackled. The team aimed to create a specialized prompt leveraging ChatGPT's large language model while moving away from ChatGPT's programming “to make people happy” and to deliver more accurate results. They developed their tool, Chronos, with a different approach. The tool uses neural search and keyword search to provide more accurate and sourced research solutions. Sandor talks about how they tested the agents. He found it saved 75% of research time using the platform and emphasizes the need for review and revision of AI-generated outputs. Chronos Research Capabilities The conversation turns to access to proprietary databases, and Sandor explains the current use of the alpha version sources publicly available information. He also talks about their engineering resources and can build a version that taps into proprietary, private, or licensed resources, and that the user can direct the agent to source from specific sources. Sandor refers to a large Fortune 100 company that has hired them to build an agent to work with their internal research team. Sandor discusses potential future features like an interview finder tool and a composite self-referencing insights feature. The discussion touches on the flexibility of the tool in handling different types of research problems. User Interface Explained Sandor explains the simple UI of the tool, which includes five landing pages: Project Overview, Research Statement of Work, Research Plan, Research Tab, and Research Summary. The tool creates a research plan based on the user's research statement of work, breaking it down into discrete task prompts. Sandor demonstrates how to use the tool by copying and pasting a Word document into the Research Statement of Work tab. The tool generates a detailed research plan, including market landscape, competitor landscape, and key trends and developments. Project Overview Research Plan Generation Sandor explains the process of generating a research plan, including organizing research tasks by major research categories and subsections. He shares an example of the various categories to be researched within the statement of work. The tool creates task prompts for each topic within the research statement of work. Users can edit tasks and change the language model used for research. Sandor highlights the efficiency of running multiple tasks concurrently using the platform and demonstrates how it works and the various categories of research that can be explored, analyzed, and summarized. How Chronos Summarizes Prompts Sections Identified and Tasks to Complete Subsections Explained Reviewing and Exporting Sandor demonstrates how to review and export the research outputs generated by the tool. The tool provides citations for each task, allowing users to verify the sources. Users can rerun tasks and edit them as needed. The tool offers a research summary feature, which condenses the research outputs into a concise format. Research Task Overview Market Landscape Research Use Cases and Future Developments Sandor talks about use cases and future developments. He explains that it can handle various research topics and how they have programmed the agent to eliminate errors. Sandor mentions a project which included researching sales cycles and client selection criteria. The tool has potential for developing primary research, valuation and diligence work, and incorporating proprietary or licensed material. In this new episode of The Roxanne Show, I share a recent experience with one of my beloved plants – a moment that unexpectedly turned into a lesson on resilience, love, and the invisible threads that hold us together.I take you into a deeper exploration of time – drawing on the Greek concepts of Chronos (linear time) and Kairos (sacred time) – to reflect on how we can create more meaningful moments in our lives by being present, not just productive. This episode is a meditation on what I frame as a delicious life—life that's not just measured by milestones, but one soaked in joy, depth, and genuine connection. This episode is for you if you've ever:Felt disconnected from the deeper purpose behind your routinesWanted to live slower, fuller, and with more intentionalityStruggled to find joy in the success of others (no shame – just awareness)Needed a reminder that love – real love – is an energy that transforms everything it touchesWant to ask a question and have it answered in an episode? God doesn't see time the way we do. While we live according to hours, deadlines, and a focus fixed on the future (chronos), God operates in kairos—sacred moments filled with purpose and a pursuit of being fully present. We can sanctify chronological time by living with eternity in mind—sensing God's presence in every moment. In this episode, David Hanegraaff explores the importance of a proper theology of time—Kairos—as opposed to a human understanding of time—Chronos. Learning to trust God's timing can reshape our daily lives, reorient our expectations, and draw us deeper into communion with Him. Let us learn to pray the following prayer: “Lord, stamp eternity on our eyes so we live every moment with Your will and purpose in mind. Help us to live not in the fantasy of past and future, but the reality of Your presence right here, right now. Amen.” This is the second talk given by David Hanegraaff for the Set Apart retreat for young adults at Gospel for Asia in Wills Point, Texas. Interested in serving with Gospel for Asia? In Ancient Greek mythology, the old and powerful god Chronos oversaw the linear progression of time. Kairos, the youthful, wing-footed god of opportunity, expressed the possibility within a given moment. This practice—the third in our summer audio series—orients you towards “kairos time”: openings in time in the wake of change; timing that moment itself dictates. Explore how your sense of time determines how you participate in the world, and how you might balance a reliance on structured time with an openness to the unpredictable. Explore the online version of this practice or shop our practice booklet, A Practice in Time. Illustration by Aldo Jarillo. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices
