The following episode is a live recorded sermon from the Sunday gathering at The Heights Church Denver on 07/14/24 Philippians 1: Kingdom Fruitfulness | Pray Your Bible Jack Lopez As you know by now, 2024 is the Year of Prayer at The Heights. A full year devoted to learning the power and practices of prayer. This is a year where we will collectively explore how to access the power and provision that is available to us in prayer. A year of taking up the invitation of Jesus when he says in Matthew 7, “Ask, and it will be given to you. Seek, and you will find. Knock, and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives, and the one who seeks finds, and to the one who knocks, the door will be opened.” But if we are honest, most people don't know how to accept Jesus' invitation into the praying life. We try to pray and fail. We need a model. Thankfully, the New Testament contains some of the most powerful prayers that have ever been prayed. These are Holy Spirit inspired prayers. Over these six weeks we are going to learn how to pray with the Apostles by studying the Apostolic prayers of the New Testament. We want to teach people to pray in line with the will of God by praying their Bibles 06/16: Eph. 1:15-23 - Sovereign Confidence 06/23: Eph. 3:14-21 - Power and Ability 06/30: Col. 1:9-14 - Knowledge of His Will 07/07: Phil. 1:9-11 - Kingdom Fruitfulness 07/14: 1 Thess 3:9-13 - Passion for People 07/21: Acts 4:23-31 - Evangelistic Prayer For more information about The Heights Church, or to contact us, visit our website at TheHeightsDenver.com

What are the most important prayers to God? How does prayer change us? Rabbi Schneider shares that the prayers the apostles prayed in the New Testament are the things that are most important to God for our spiritual development. They are prayers that develop us into the likeness of Jesus. When we pray the apostolic prayers, we are transformed through our prayer life. Many people have been taught that it is unmanly to show affection and love. But that is not God's way. Jesus, the creator of the world and who bound Satan, loves. Break out of the devil's false paradigm. Express love and affection to people. God is expansive, and His love never ends. Do you have real knowledge, discernment, and love? Or do you have a spirit of accusation? Can you see beyond the surface of sin to the deep need of the other person? Walk in love, asking God to help you discern good from evil. Are you resisting the spirit of accusation? The enemy will target your most important relationships with accusation. The enemy wants to divide us from the most important people in our lives. How do we get comfortable in our own skin? What is faith and how can we strengthen it? Rabbi Schneider shares that God wants to manifest His power in our lives today. Most people live from the outside in, rather than the inside out. Paul teaches us to abide with the Holy Spirit inside our inner man, living life from the inside out, and not by getting our affirmation from the world outside us. Our identity and peace do not come from the world, but from God. Learn on today's episode of Discovering the Jewish Jesus that we can strengthen our faith by embracing the Holy Spirit within us. Faith is real, has power, and helps us to think God's thoughts. Faith casts out fear. When we know we are loved, protected, and can trust God's promises then we are loving and walk in love. The more we grow in Christ, the more we can love other people. Visit our website at DiscoveringTheJewishJesus.com
