Send us a textIn this powerful teaching, we explore how the early church's approach to prayer can transform our spiritual lives and expand our kingdom impact today. Drawing from the Apostolic Prayer Pattern, this message reveals three essential dimensions of biblical prayer:Prayer as a Catalyst for Kingdom Influence - Discover how united, intentional prayer links us together as spiritual warriors, opens doors for the gospel to advance, and influences leaders and society for God's purposes.Staying Rooted, Guided, and Awake in Prayer - Learn to cultivate a rhythm of continual dependence on God, accessing His wisdom for every situation, and maintaining spiritual alertness in an age of distraction.Prayer as Power, Presence, and Partnership - Understand how prayer becomes effective in every season of life, anchors us amid cultural chaos, and invites God's refreshing presence into our relationships and communities.Whether you're looking to deepen your personal prayer life or join with others in advancing God's kingdom, this teaching will equip you to pray with the same power, purpose, and partnership that marked the early church. Get ready to move beyond routine prayers into a lifestyle of transformational intercession that shapes both your heart and your world.Support the show
Send us a textIn this episode of The Restless Ones podcast, Brennan and Zach dive deep into the relationship between prayer and kingdom effectiveness. Following their teaching on "Living the Apostolic Prayer Pattern: Power, Purpose, and Partnership in Prayer," they explore whether fruitful kingdom work is even possible without prayer backing it.The conversation covers several key themes:Prayer as Alignment, Not Just Results - Rather than viewing prayer as a formula for bigger numbers or guaranteed outcomes, they discuss how prayer aligns us with God's definition of success, which often looks radically different from worldly metrics.Prayer as Relationship - Moving beyond the "gas station" approach to prayer, they explore how consistent communication with God builds genuine friendship and intimacy, arguing that you can't truly be a Christian without an active prayer life.Corporate Prayer and Community - Using Paul's call to "strive together in prayer" as a launching point, they examine how praying for others binds the body of Christ together in love and creates shared investment in each other's victories and struggles.Prayer as Refuge - Drawing from 1 Peter 4:7, they discuss how prayer serves as an anchor during chaotic times, providing a "taste of Eden" and helping believers process anxiety and overwhelming circumstances in light of God's sovereignty.Practical Prayer - They share stories from their Kingdom Connections ministry, emphasizing the power of specific, measurable prayer requests and the importance of tracking God's answers to build faith.Throughout the episode, Brennan and Zach maintain their characteristic conversational style, complete with tangents about dogs, Gen Z slang mishaps, and their love of alliteration, while wrestling with profound questions about prayer's role in the Christian life.Support the show
This past Sunday Pastor Colt brought a timely and powerful word from Ephesians 3 on prayer. Paul's prayer in this chapter demonstrates four essentials of Apostolic prayer: 1. We pray in submission 2. We pray from His riches 3. We pray to grow in love 4. We pray beyond ourselves Prayer flows from the access we've been given to the Father and draws us deeper into truly knowing Him. What are the most important prayers to God? How does prayer change us? Rabbi Schneider shares that the prayers the apostles prayed in the New Testament are the things that are most important to God for our spiritual development. They are prayers that develop us into the likeness of Jesus. When we pray the apostolic prayers, we are transformed through our prayer life. Many people have been taught that it is unmanly to show affection and love. But that is not God's way. Jesus, the creator of the world and who bound Satan, loves. Break out of the devil's false paradigm. Express love and affection to people. God is expansive, and His love never ends. Do you have real knowledge, discernment, and love? Or do you have a spirit of accusation? Can you see beyond the surface of sin to the deep need of the other person? Walk in love, asking God to help you discern good from evil. **** BECOME A MONTHLY PARTNER - https://djj.show/YTAPartner **** DONATE - https://djj.show/YTADonate **** TEACHING NOTES - https://djj.show/xsf Visit our website at DiscoveringTheJewishJesus.com
How are the prayers of the Apostles relevant today? Rabbi Schneider shares that as we focus on the intentions in the Apostles' prayers for our own lives, change will take place and we will be transformed. How are we relating to the people closest to us? To grow in God's Spirit is to grow in love towards others. Love involves sacrifice. Sacrificial love puts others needs before our own. Are you resisting the spirit of accusation? The enemy will target your most important relationships with accusation. The enemy wants to divide us from the most important people in our lives. When we think thoughts that produce division, it is not God and it is not love. How do we get comfortable in our own skin? What is faith and how can we strengthen it? Rabbi Schneider shares that God wants to manifest His power in our lives today. Most people live from the outside in, rather than the inside out. Paul teaches us to abide with the Holy Spirit inside our inner man, living life from the inside out, and not by getting our affirmation from the world outside us. Our identity and peace do not come from the world, but from God. Learn on today's episode of Discovering the Jewish Jesus that we can strengthen our faith by embracing the Holy Spirit within us. Faith is real, has power, and helps us to think God's thoughts. Faith casts out fear. When we know we are loved, protected, and can trust God's promises then we are loving and walk in love. The more we grow in Christ, the more we can love other people. **** BECOME A MONTHLY PARTNER - https://djj.show/YTAPartner **** DONATE - https://djj.show/YTADonate **** TEACHING NOTES - https://djj.show/3q1 Visit our website at DiscoveringTheJewishJesus.com

The same power that God used to raise Jesus from the dead is available is at work in your life. The power of the resurrection is working in you. Because of the love of God you will never be defeated. The following episode is a live recorded sermon from the Sunday gathering at The Heights Church Denver on 07/14/24 Philippians 1: Kingdom Fruitfulness | Pray Your Bible Jack Lopez As you know by now, 2024 is the Year of Prayer at The Heights. A full year devoted to learning the power and practices of prayer. This is a year where we will collectively explore how to access the power and provision that is available to us in prayer. A year of taking up the invitation of Jesus when he says in Matthew 7, “Ask, and it will be given to you. Seek, and you will find. Knock, and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives, and the one who seeks finds, and to the one who knocks, the door will be opened.” But if we are honest, most people don't know how to accept Jesus' invitation into the praying life. We try to pray and fail. We need a model. Thankfully, the New Testament contains some of the most powerful prayers that have ever been prayed. These are Holy Spirit inspired prayers. Over these six weeks we are going to learn how to pray with the Apostles by studying the Apostolic prayers of the New Testament. We want to teach people to pray in line with the will of God by praying their Bibles 06/16: Eph. 1:15-23 - Sovereign Confidence 06/23: Eph. 3:14-21 - Power and Ability 06/30: Col. 1:9-14 - Knowledge of His Will 07/07: Phil. 1:9-11 - Kingdom Fruitfulness 07/14: 1 Thess 3:9-13 - Passion for People 07/21: Acts 4:23-31 - Evangelistic Prayer For more information about The Heights Church, or to contact us, visit our website at TheHeightsDenver.com
