Lauren Boebert's cringe Tweet on the faked "QUEERS BASH BACK" church graffiti

"Hurt people hurt people. Praying that those who committed this hate crime can one day accept the love of Jesus." Let's break this hilariously cringe Tweet down! My favorite parts: 1) "Hurt people hurt people," meaning that "queers" are somehow damaged and mentally ill. 2) Her laughable declaration that this was a hate crime, when in reality, in the extremely unlikely event that it wasn't staged, it was a response to CENTURIES OF HATE CRIMES against the LGBTQ community by Christians, which they have always justified by referring to Leviticus 18:22, "If a Man Lies with a man as he lies with a woman, it is an Abomination and both of them shall surely be put to death. Their blood will be upon them." This is what these ACTUAL BIGOTS teach to CHILDREN. 3) Lauren Boebert pretending like she actually has it in her, somewhere deep down in her shriveled, decrepit heart to be magnanimous and forgiving and actually pray for the people who supposedly did it. LOL. Lauren Boebert, who is so petty and hostile to anyone who disagrees with her that she tweeted in celebration of Cori Bush- -who actually fought for Americans by sleeping in the freezing rain on the House steps to get our eviction moratorium extended during the pandemic- -seeing lackluster sales of her (excellent and inspiring) book, "The Forerunner," its first week after being released and so wretchedly hateful that she was willing to use the January 6th mob as a murder weapon to try to assassinate Nancy Pelosi by Tweeting that she had left the House Chamber just SECONDS before, notifying the mob that she was on the move, that she was vulnerable, and where she had been sheltering, for no other reason than the fact that Nancy Pelosi was part of the political opposition. And we're supposed to believe that someone as ruthlessly and murderously hateful as LAUREN BOEBERT has it in her to pray for any "queer" person? Especially one who supposedly sprayed graffiti on a church? Hold on, you'll have to give me a minute to stop laughing

This Monday is a brand new episode of Graphic Policy Radio and joining us are the team behind the webcomic Bash Back. The comic is described as "a story of the Queer Mafia" from the minds and creativity of writers Kelsey Hercs and Lawrence Gullo and artist Fyodor Pavlov. The webcomic is updated each Monday. After thousands of years of bloodshed, torment, and ridicule, now is the time to take what is ours. Bash Back comic is a cathartic, hyper-violent, contemporary queer revenge fantasy. Kelsey Hercs is a playwright and performer based in New York City. Bash Back is her first foray into writing for comics, and she is thrilled that this project is the one she's cutting her comic-writing teeth on. Russian emigre Fyodor Pavlov is a freelance illustrator, comic artist and smut peddler. In print, Pavlov’s work can be found in Sherlock Holmes Mystery Magazine, The Ouroboros Cycle, Queerotica: A Comics Anthology, and more. His latest comics foray is the art of Bash Back. Together with his husband and creative partner Lawrence Gullo, he co-directs Dr. Sketchy's NYC, throws costume parties and raises a very spoiled cat. Lawrence Gullo - Writer, colorist, and graphic design for Bash Back.  Artist and performance artist.  Speaker on transgender issues. We want to hear your questions. Tweet them to us @graphicpolicy.
