Suunto y Strava contra GarminSuunto y Strava demandan a Garmin por uso de patentes en relojes inteligentes y servicios GPS  Por Félix Riaño @LocutorCo    Escucha este y más análisis tecnológicos en Flash DiarioGarmin enfrenta dos demandas simultáneas por supuestas infracciones de patentes. Suunto acusa a Garmin de copiar tecnologías de hardware y sensores, mientras Strava sostiene que Garmin violó acuerdos previos y usó sin permiso sus sistemas de segmentos y mapas de calor. Las querellas podrían afectar a la mayoría de los relojes y ciclocomputadores Garmin, como los Fenix, Forerunner, Epix y Edge.  Dos de los nombres más reconocidos del mundo deportivo, Suunto y Strava, han decidido llevar a Garmin a los tribunales en Estados Unidos. Las demandas fueron presentadas con pocos días de diferencia: Suunto el 22 de septiembre en Texas, y Strava el 30 de septiembre en Colorado. Ambas alegan que Garmin ha usado ideas y diseños protegidos por patentes sin autorización. En ella afirma que Garmin ha infringido cinco patentes relacionadas con sensores de respiración, antenas y diseños de carcasa que permiten mantener la conexión inalámbrica incluso en relojes de metal. Suunto también acusa a Garmin de haber copiado su sistema para detectar automáticamente golpes de golf. Entre los modelos señalados están los Marq, Fenix, Epix, Instinct, Venu y Forerunner. Suunto pide una indemnización y una orden judicial que impida vender los relojes Garmin que usen esas funciones. Según medios especializados como CyclingNews y BikeRadar, varios de esos registros están por vencer, lo que sugiere que Suunto busca proteger su legado antes de que expiren las patentes.  Apenas una semana después, el 30 de septiembre, Strava demandó a Garmin en Colorado. La denuncia acusa a Garmin de violar los acuerdos del Master Cooperation Agreement de 2015, que permitió integrar los Strava Live Segments en los dispositivos Garmin. Strava asegura que Garmin aprovechó esa colaboración para estudiar la función, copiarla y luego crear su propio sistema de Garmin Segments sin autorización. That is reconciliation to God and each other. According to Old Testament prophecy, he is Elijah. Dorotheos and Eusebia, a devout, aging Christian couple who lived in Anatolia, had no children. After many years, their fervent prayers for a child were answered, and they were blessed with a daughter, whom they named Kyriake ('Sunday' in Greek) because she was born on the Lord's day. The child grew up beautiful in body and soul and, though she had many suitors, chose to consecrate herself entirely to God and remain single. One of her suitors, angered at her refusal, denounced her and her parents to the Emperor Diocletian. Dorotheos and Eusebia were subjected to cruel tortures, then sent into exile, where they died under further torture. Kyriake was sent to Maximian, Diocletian's son-in-law, for trial. By his orders, she was subjected to a horrifying series of torments; but Christ Himself appeared to her in prison, healing and comforting her. Many pagans came to believe in Christ when they saw her miraculously saved from death by fire or from wild beasts; all of these were beheaded. Kyriake told Apollonius, the general who supervised her tortures: 'There is no way that you can turn me from my faith. Throw me into the fire — I have the example of the Three Children. Throw me to the wild beasts — I have the example of Daniel. Throw me into the sea — I have the example of Jonah the Prophet. Put me to the sword — I will remember the honored Forerunner. For me, to die is life in Christ.' Apollonius then ordered that she be beheaded. At the place of execution, she raised her hands in prayer and gave up her soul to God before the executioner could take her life.   Note: St Kyriake is also known as Dominica or Nedelja, Latin and Slavonic words for 'Sunday'.

The wonderful story of the Forerunner's conception and birth is told in the first chapter of the Gospel according to Luke. Together with the Most Holy Theotokos and Christ Himself, both his conception and his birth are commemorated as Feasts of the Church. His name, Johanan in Hebrew, means "The Lord is Gracious."   The Prologue adds: "The news of the angel's appearing to Zacharias, of his dumbness and of the loosening of his tongue at the exact moment that he wrote 'John', was carried throughout all Israel, coming to Herod's ears. So, when he sent men to kill all the infants around Bethlehem, he sent men off to Zacharias' family house in the hills, to slay John also. But Elisabeth hid the child in good time. The king was enraged at this, and sent an executioner to the Temple to kill Zacharias (for it was then his turn to serve in the Temple again). Zacharias was killed between the court and the Temple, and his blood clotted and solidified on the paving slabs, and remained as an enduring witness against Herod. Elisabeth hid herself and the child in a cave, where she soon died. The young John remained in the wilderness alone, in the care of God and His angels." See September 5

BJ wanted to just give it to his son, who then turned it down! The CU Buffs have sold out their home games for 3 years in a row now. JLO had a wardrobe malfunction over the weekend.

Over the weekend Bud's Bar in Sedalia threw a party for one of Jamie's favorite people on the planet, Billy from Bud's Bar! He just turned 90. Jamie brought a date with her to the event and ended up hooking him up with someone else. When the protest turned into riots police were called in. One police officer shot a reporter who was covering the incident with a rubber bullet. Jamie is getting her face snatched up during our summer break. She asked her dermatologist to recommend her different doctors at different price points for the same surgery. The difference in cost is insane.
