We're throwing on our festive gear and stepping into the holiday spotlight to answer one big question—which Disney after-hours party is the best of the season? Is it the spooky fun of Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party, the cozy charm of Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party, or the retro glitz of Jollywood Nights at Hollywood Studios? We're going head-to-head-to-head as we break these parties down across multiple categories—everything from entertainment and character sightings to food, vibes, crowd levels, and overall value. We're each casting our votes in every round, sharing our thoughts (and probably disagreeing a few times), and by the end, we're crowning our pick for the top Disney holiday party of the year.If we're being honest, we know some of you are debating which one to attend—and some of you are just planning to hit all three. Either way, we've got you covered. So we're grabbing our trick-or-treat bag, our Santa hats, and maybe a sparkly blazer or two, and we're inviting you to join us for the ultimate festive face-off!MEI-Travel – Expertise. Send us a textStep into the spooky side of Disney as we raise our Coney Negronis and dive deep into the most ghoulishly delightful events on both coasts. Having braved torrential Florida downpours at Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party and researched the increasingly popular Oogie Boogie Bash, we're sharing everything you need to know before booking your Halloween Disney adventure. Our Mickey's Not-So-Scary experience at Magic Kingdom was unforgettable—even with rain so heavy it created rivers on walkways! We discovered the perfect rainy-night hack: washcloths in shoes to absorb moisture, and the undeniable value of both ponchos AND umbrellas for those notorious sideways Florida storms. Disney made it right with a complimentary Park Hopper pass, proving that even at their spookiest, the parks still deliver on magic.Dressed as Mike and Sully from Monsters Inc., we experienced firsthand how costumes enhance the celebration. Cast members saluted us, the Monsters Inc. Laugh Floor interactive show acknowledged our presence, and we collected enough candy to last months. The late-night advantage can't be overstated—when families with young children depart around 9pm (especially at Disneyland), you might find yourself enjoying multiple consecutive rides on Splash Mountain with no wait! The Oogie Boogie Bash at California Adventure sounds particularly compelling with its interactive treat trails featuring villains who engage directly with guests, the atmospheric Villain's Grove walkthrough, and the delightfully sinister Frightfully Fun Parade. While the food offerings at both events left something to be desired, the entertainment, character interactions, and dramatically reduced wait times make these events worth every penny of their $119-$199 price tags. With Oogie Boogie Bash tickets going on sale soon (31 dates starting August 17th this year!), now's the time to decide which coast will host your Disney Halloween adventure. Take our advice: if weather is a concern, California's your best bet—but wherever you celebrate, these parties deliver a frightfully fun experience that regular park days simply can't match. Ready to make your spooky Disney dreams come true? These events sell out fast, so start planning now! Here's who we are and what is in store for you

Sheila struggles adorably with pronunciation, Ric plans a covert candy trash can heist, and yes, the Savannah Bananas are officially part of the Disneyverse now.

Greg was on the scene this week to catch the action firsthand—and there's plenty to cover! This update is part of the May 14, 2025, edition of This Week at Walt Disney World with Sam and Greg. Rare Character Sightings at Magic Kingdom One of the week's biggest surprises came outside the Country Bear Jamboree, where Romeo first appeared. Farewell to Mama Melrose and Pizza Rizzo Over at Disney's Hollywood Studios, it's a bittersweet goodbye to two dining staples. Mama Melrose's Ristorante Italiano Rizzo has officially closed their doors. Today Mike, Pam and Rikki dedicate our show to the BOGP Lizards who are kicking off the runDisney season at the Wine & Dine Half-Marathon Weekend at Walt Disney World today! Have fun and enjoy every mile! Today's show was inspired by Lizard Jodi and her crew who are attending Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party on Halloween Night and pulling an "all-nighter" and going directly to the 5K race after! That got us sharing stories of crazy things we have done at Walt Disney World that had us at the point of happiest exhaustion in many cases, but full of memories that we will never forget! We also talk about if and how Disney could bring back "special days" like the ones we discuss today so that we can do these things again!
