Hello and welcome to the Enchanted Ears Podcast, where we discuss anything and everything Disney. Disney announced more details on the Story Living Community in California and it seems like they are making a play to capitalize on the aging Disney adult population. Plus, Walt Disney World announced its lineup for this year's Jollywood Nights. We've officially entered Spooky Season and to celebrate we're joined by our friends Jennifer and Keifer to discuss their recent trip to Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party and Universal's Halloween Horror Nights. Even though the weather didn't fully cooperate, they still were able to check almost everything off of their to-do list. Jennifer and Keifer come with all of the deets on the candy, shows and parades at MNSSHP. Then we head up the street to HHN, where they were absolutely blown away by the entertainment and quality of the houses and scare zones. Everything sounded like so much fun, that now we're even sadder we won't be visiting Florida this Halloween season. But there's always next year! You can follow Jennifer on Instagram @princess_woodruff. Submit a question/topic for us to discuss on a future episode. Matt, his wife, and their 4-year-old daughter are frequent visitors to Walt Disney World. For their September trip, Matt attempted the Every Ride Challenge. That consists of riding all 50 operating rides at the time of the challenge while raising money for Give Kids the World. He shares his insights on Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party, crowds, weather, Bay Lake Tower vs. Polynesian, and Lightning Lane system revamp. Post trip begins: 52 minutes Matt shared financial information regarding his trip: He used airline miles for their flights. In total, that was paid $30 in taxes for 3 people round trip. Hotel was covered by their DVC points, and the hotel the night before in Philadelphia was covered by a free night they had through the Marriott credit card. Rental car through National was $365 for the 8 days in Orlando. He used a free rental day for their one way trip from Allentown to Philadelphia. They cashed in their Disney Visa points to use for food, which they used for four table service meals and some quick service meals. Total out of pocket spent for the entire trip was less than $800 (almost half of that was the rental car). It was a DOWNPOUR at Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party on Sunday, September 8th, 2024. We thought we could wait out the rain with a Disney Dining Show at Cosmic Ray's Starlight Café, but we were wrong! This small dining review was, unfortunately, all that we were able to do that night, but we made the most of it and ordered all the party-exclusive items on the menu. There were some surprises, both good and bad. If you've got your eye on some Mickey's Not-So-Scary Exclusive food items, I'd consider this review before you order.Links:Important DIS links for more information!Support us on Patreon and receive exclusive content!
