This week, we screen one of Greg's favorite 80's throwbacks, "Biggles Adventures in Time" (1986).As an additional note, Crysta and Greg both had one act plays accepted for the upcoming "Bug Pit Summer Play Festival" August 4th - 9th! Look for more details coming soon.
Lee and Mike really aren't happy with the choice of film for our latest episode. It's the 1986 less than UK cinema classic Biggles Adventures In Time. Just what went wrong with the 80s movie take on a popular childrens literary character created decades earlier in that century? Throwing time travel in is just the start of it's flaws.Listen in and find out the rest with our chocs away duo. Biggles: Adventures in Time (1986) is a movie about a beloved British hero with an American time travel story bolted onto it. At least the aerial sequences are stunning. Also, Hootkins!
It's chocks away as we take a look at Biggles Adventures in Time from 1986. A very British time traveling adventure film that has become a cult classic. Along the flight we discuss Neil Dickson's appearance as Biggles in the Pet Shop Boy's film, we ponder if any movie can be improved with a helicopter stunt and how Peter Cushing always adds class. We discovers Paul's 'alleged' dislike of vegetables (except cucumbers), and realize that he's confused toyline Action Force's Baron Ironblood with a real WWI German pilot. Meanwhile Colin has trouble with the time paradox and wonders why do characters in 80s films never take their outdoor jacket and shoes off when relaxing at home. Intro music "Do You Want to be a Hero" by Jon Anderson and Outro music "No Turning Back" by The Immortals.
A wannabe TV chef with a penchant for eating animal vomit and dressing like a woman keeps waking up in muddy fields with a man who's trying to get his camel across France in order to ask the neighbours to keep the noise down. There's a man who lives in a clock, a woman eating dodgy mushrooms in an igloo and a hoax phone-caller who offers the strangest advice to people.

Biggles is a British World War I fighter pilot, and Jim is an American entrepreneur from the 1980s. Together, they derp through time. Dave is a man with a soundboard, Ian is a Skype ninja, and Mike is displeased with time travel in a time travel movie. Together, they review Biggles: Adventures in Time. Also, Peter Cushing is in no way creepy. Nope. Not at all. Never mind that length of rope in the corner, the stuffed raven on a perch, and the bag of automatic machine guns.
