Visit https://huel.com/rejects to get 15% off your order With Netflix Electric State & The Marbles releasing - The Autopsy of Jane Doe Reaction, Recap, Breakdown, Commentary, Analysis, & Spoiler Review! Roxy Striar and Greg Alba dive into the chilling mystery of The Autopsy of Jane Doe, a horror film that blends psychological terror with supernatural suspense. Directed by André Øvredal (Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark, Trollhunter), this eerie thriller follows father-son coroners as they uncover the dark secrets hidden within the body of an unidentified woman. This reaction covers the film's most terrifying and shocking moments, including the unsettling toe bell scene, the gruesome skin peeling autopsy revelations, the radio static eerily predicting doom, and the terrifying corpse coming to life sequence. As the mystery deepens, the realization that Jane Doe isn't just a victim—but something far more sinister—creates an atmosphere of dread that lingers long after the credits roll. The film's claustrophobic setting, disturbing discoveries, and haunting atmosphere make it one of the most underrated supernatural horror movies in recent years. Main Cast & Characters: Brian Cox as Tommy Tilden (Succession, X2: X-Men United), Emile Hirsch as Austin Tilden (Into the Wild, Speed Racer), Olwen Catherine Kelly as Jane Doe (Winter Ridge), Ophelia Lovibond as Emma (Guardians of the Galaxy, Minx), Michael McElhatton as Sheriff Burke (Game of Thrones, The Foreigner). Our next stop for Foreign Film February is the chilly mountains of Norway, home of the biggest, dumbest monsters according to this guy who gets paid to wrangle them. We met up with a real, life TROLLHUNTER (2010) and he had the audacity to smother us in the most horrible-smelling goop imaginable because he said, get this, it will repel trolls! He seems like a psycho but we're a group of disbelieving college students making a documentary so let's roll with it. What's the worst that could happen? Learn more about your ad choices. Hello, Kaiju Lovers! The Monster Island World Tour moves into Europe with a stop in Oslo, Norway, to discuss the 2010 found footage kaiju film, Trollhunter (not to be confused with Netflix's Troll from 2022—we already covered that). Nate is joined by his college chum, the founder of Nerd Chapel, Eric Anderson, to dive into a movie that says Christians need not apply to be Norway's hunter of trolls (and we don't mean the internet variety). That's just one of the many aspects of this unique film that these two Christian nerds get into. Prepare yourself for a heaping dose of theology and folklore! For the Toku Topic, Nate delves into the “monster masts” controversy surrounding the construction of electrical lines in rural Norway, which helped inspire the film. Listen to our coverage of Netflix's Troll (2022) for more info on Norwegian troll folklore! LINK: https://tinyurl.com/mifv-max-14-troll. Jimmy's Notes on this episode COMING SOON! Hello, Kaiju Lovers! Yes, Nate misremembered when the bonus episode on The Barbados Project was supposed to happen. But the good news is you got it sooner! Anyway, this low-budget found footage kaiju horror film is great warm-up to the next mainline episode on Trollhunter. It can be viewed (again) on Tubi, but it originally played the film festival circuit and on the obscure streaming service POV Horror. It's a rare film produced in the island nation of Barbados, let alone a kaiju film. But there are reasons it's flown under the kaiju fandom's radar and the Island houses none of the creatures in it. Why? Listen to find out! For full shownotes, including a bibliography of sources, read this episode's blog on the MIFV website: https://monsterislandfilmvault.com/index.php/2024/09/23/bonus-episode-18-the-barbados-project-monster-island-world-tour/. Writer-producer Marc Guggenheim approaches his work from a place of trying to please the ten-year-old version of himself who loved sci fi and superheroes. So he was the perfect guy for Warner Bros. and DC Comics to tap to not just play in, but help build its cinematic sandbox. Marc Guggenheim is an American screenwriter, television producer, comic book writer, and novelist. After a romantic comedy script led to a few meetings with producers, he moved to California to pursue a career as a screenwriter. A script for The Practice was his first produced work. He eventually served as a producer for Law & Order, Jack and Bobby, CSI: Miami, and In Justice. With Greg Berlanti, Guggenheim is the co-creator of the ABC show Eli Stone. He later became executive producer of ABC's No Ordinary Family. Guggenheim, together with Berlanti and Andrew Kreisberg, adapted the Green Arrow comics into the television series Arrow. The three, alongside Phil Klemmer, went on to develop the spin-off series Legends of Tomorrow. With Guillermo del Toro, he co-wrote the pilot and several episodes of the award-winning animated series Tales of Arcadia, an original franchise created for Netflix from DreamWorks Animation, for which he won an Emmy in the category of "Best Writing for an Animated Series" and nominated for several others. He remained as Executive Producer throughout the series' three installments, Trollhunters, 3Below and Wizards: Tales of Arcadia. Marc Guggenheim IMDB Alex Keledjian Alex Keledjian is the creator of Project Greenlight, a documentary television series where executive producers Matt Damon and Ben Affleck gave first-time filmmakers a chance to direct their first feature film. Mark and Zanandi (@ZaNandi on Twitter) have covered a lot of beautiful horror films since 2019, and they decided to pit them against each other in a tournament of doom. In this episode, they have an incredibly hard time picking a winner because The Dark and the Wicked, The Blackcoat's Daughter, Scream (1996), Doctor Sleep, We Summon the Darkness, Trollhunter, The Wolf of Snow Hollow, Jason X, Devil, Underwater and Candyman (1992) are really cool films. This week, the court looks to get a second opinion from Dr. London Smith (“Jock Doc Podcast”) as to the medicinal benefits, if any, of the 2010 Norwegian found footage horror film, “Trollhunter.” *** Prosecutor: Dylan J. Schlender. Defense: Dr. London Smith. Judge: The Honorable Big Ben Haslar. Jurors: Ryan Luis Rodriguez, Big Ben Haslar, Maynard Bangs. *** Advisory: Silvana Carranza. Prologue: Kirk R. Thatcher. Original Theme: WT Golden.
I was not a big fan of this one either, not as good a Cloverfield, even though just years apart. The director has gone on to make some interesting looking movies, so maybe doing a "found footage" movie is a good way to start a career into film making, it has worked for some. movierewrite1@gmail.com find us on Facebook: movie rewrite podcast
Former Metropolitan Police Officer, Danni Brooke AKA Undercover Mother is highly regarded as an investigation and intelligence expert across The Globe. Having worked on some of the most dangerous and high-profile cases, Danni has seen herself face to face with crimes involving guns, drugs and prostitution rings.'My life was full of danger every day and I couldn't tell my friends or family what I did for a living. My mum didn't even know! There were definitely times I was in too deep but somehow I always got away with it.I was living a double life and it felt normal.'For over a decade Danni Brooke was one of the most effective female undercover cops in the UK, one of a very small number of women in the Met's elite unit. She was so successful at taking down criminals she was seconded to forces around the country.Whether she was infiltrating organised crime gangs or disrupting drug supply lines, Danni played the innocent Essex girl, fooling even the most suspicious villains, using her quick wits to keep her out of trouble. She loved the job but the pressures of her work, and trying to balance the long hours with being a mother, were to take a toll on her personal life.In her honest, warm and gripping memoir, Danni also reveals why she left the police, how she found a new career (and love) on C4's Hunted – and why the thrill of covert work still pulls her into private investigations.Today Danni Brooke enjoys the quiet life with her two children at her home in Spain, where she also runs a cybersecurity company with partner and fellow TV hunter Ben Owen. She likes experimenting with Italian recipes, baking and watching true crime documentaries on Netflix. It is a world away from the high-risk life she lived for ten years as a covert police officer. Then she spent her days on the streets and her nights in dingy clubs and crack dens, helping to gather evidence to put hundreds of dangerous criminals behind bars. Since leaving the force in 2013 she has built up a successful career as an investigator on C4's Hunted, now in its 10th series. She has also participated in the ‘Celebrity Hunted' programmes, appeared on ITV's This Morning, taken part in the C5 series Troll Hunters and is due to star in a new C4 gameshow hosted by Ellie Taylor launching this Spring. Danni has also filmed a pilot with a Hollywood production company. As one of the only female undercover cops operating at a senior level Danni has a unique insight into the workings of this specialist unit. And though her extraordinary bravery and quick-thinking earned her commendations, today she takes a more critical view of her police work.‘My view on drugs has completely changed over the years,' she says. ‘Though I'm proud of what I did, taking out some really nasty characters, I can see that drugs problem isn't going to be solved unless there is some serious thinking at a governmental level.Socials:LinkedIn: Danni Brooke Insta: DGB @dannigbrooke Twitter @DanniGBrookeEnjoy the visual here on Youtube
